"Qin Lu, I came to ask for your help," Liu Chen chuckled.
Before he could explain what for, Qin Lu gave him a cold look and flatly refused, "Why should I help you?"
Liu Chen opened his mouth, but the words just wouldn't come out. He froze on the spot; Qin Lu looked at him and couldn't help but burst into laughter. Only then did Liu Chen breathe a sigh of relief.
"My lady, I thought I had offended you again!" Liu Chen sighed.
Qin Lu took the rose he had prepared from Liu Chen's hand and huffed, "Who says you haven't offended me? Asking for my help and bringing just this one flower, that's hardly sincere."
"Er... actually, I bought this flower while waiting here when a little girl insisted I buy it."
Qin Lu glared at him, then suddenly threw the flower at Liu Chen, "So, you came empty-handed, huh?"
This was utterly unacceptable—you come to ask a favor and should at least show some sincerity. Without sincerity, why would anyone help you? Humph, your girlfriend is no good either.
