Chapter 160 - Traitor

Julius stared absently out the window as Abigail spoke to him. She quickly noticed and snapped her fingers in front of his face.

"Hey! Are you even listening?" she demanded.

Julius hummed in response but didn't tear his gaze away from the window.

Abigail sighed. "What's wrong? Not feeling well? Should we postpone?"

Julius finally turned to her, his voice calm but distant. "No. Go according to plan." He placed a hand over his chest. "I just feel... uneasy all of a sudden. Like there's a hole in here."

Without warning, Abigail smacked the back of his head.

Julius groaned, exasperated. "Why the hell did you hit me?!"

Abigail turned away with a shrug. "Just focus on the task ahead. Once all of this is over..." She paused, her back facing him. Then, in a quieter voice, she added, "You can go wherever you want. Do whatever you like. The palace won't be in your way anymore."
