Every god or mythical being in the room is on their feet and some take to the air. The outrage is palpable.
Zeus thunders from somewhere, "YOU IMPUDENT FOOLS."
Hera, not to be outdone, blasts them verbally--probably just for starters. "HOW DARE YOU."
The eerie voice might as well come from AI. Heck, AI would probably have more emotion. "We dare everything. We are in charge."
Kubla Khan stands up. "Is that so? 'Beware! Beware!'" He quotes Coleridge's poem as a battle cry. "For you on arrogance have fed and drunk the poison of H*ll!"
The entire gathering erupts in laughter. Every god is openly mocking the Consortium, and it's beautiful. Lowan plays a riff, and Wendigo Will leads the audience in a chorus from his smash hit anthem. He raises his bony arms and looks almost incandescent.
"Gods and monsters, yeah,
