Nadine stood unmoving for a while, unable to believe the statement that had just left her son's lips.
"He is a man, Alexander." she pointed out the obvious, afraid to even look at Damon.
"I know but he is the man, I love." Alexander replied as his fingers tightened around Damon's.
Nadine sighed softly, trying to keep her emotions under control.
"How long has this been going on?" she asked, her eyes darting between Damon and Alexander.
"A month." Alexander replied and Nadine gazed at him, her eyes unfathomable.
"Does anyone know about this?" She asked, her voice stern and serious.
"Only a couple of friends. Why?" Alexander asked.
"It doesn't matter. Come with me." She pointed at Alexander, her face frighteningly serene as she turned her back and started to walk away.
Alexander reluctantly let go of Damon's hand and followed his mother.
"You can go to bed, your highness." Nadine called out to Damon in a neutral voice that made him flinch as he headed to his room.
