The couch beneath them began to shift and expand further, the chamber once again responding to unspoken desire. What had been separate pieces of furniture flowed together, forming a circular platform large enough to comfortably accommodate all three of them. The surface remained plush but firmer now, providing support rather than enveloping softness.
"Is Nova going to be okay?" Samantha asked, her gaze drifting to the cradle beyond their privacy dome.
As if in answer, the crystals surrounding Nova's cradle pulsed once, emitting a soft chime that somehow conveyed reassurance. A subtle barrier of light—similar to their own but more protective in nature—formed around the sleeping infant.
"I'd say that's a yes," Kai observed. "The chamber's looking after her. Probably better than we could, honestly."
