"So that's how it is?" Albus Dumbledore nodded, fumbling with a glove in his hand.
Opposite him, in the Headmaster's office, was Arlen Black, the first year Gryffindor, recording the data on the twisted Mana surrounding the old wizard.
Suddenly, his Source vibrated.
It was as if the world was hissing in his ears, the wind was whispering, the chairs, the tables, and all the objects were praying to him in his surroundings.
Chants, crossing dimensions and realms, entered his mind.
…
The Devastating Despair
The Blue-skinned Demon
The Unforgivable Cursed One
The Scion of Death
The Crawling Chaos
…
Someone was invoking the Nyarlathotep!
Ever since Kai had shared his renewed epithets with the White Serpent Pirates, he knew they were shrewd enough to catch on the hidden meaning behind them.
Somehow, for some unknown reason, Kai's existence had elevated within a negligible time frame.
It became even more apparent to all members when they didn't even need to use any mysterious, ancient language to chant his epithets. Merely speaking to them, or even thinking about them, alerted Kai no matter where he was.
Black felt the Inventory stirring and two yellow crystals bobbed up and down in his eyes as he lifted the temporary ban on the Echo Synchronizations.
It was Red Sun.
That bloody fool!
Kai had assigned a very specific Mission to Red Sun months ago. A Mission that he couldn't have assigned to himself. Not of the same Grade at least.
Kai's Side Mission, even those that let him Switch Random Worlds, remained a Grade lower, or the same, than his current Main Mission, i.e. C+. Not to mention, other than him, only Red Sun's floor was higher than the 9th floor.
Red Sun possessed two Multiverse IDs; both with an Overall Grade of C+.
That left the only way to go to a higher Grade timeline for Kai — Red Sun's Main Mission.
Red Sun doesn't know that Dumbledore has called me out of the class to discuss how I did, what I did, during the Remembrall incident, Black thought, smiling at Dumbledore. I gave him one simple task. Tch!
The Faceless manipulated his expressions.
"Is everything alright, Mr. Black?" Dumbledore asked, seeing the uneasiness on the boy's face. "I assure you…"
"I need to go… Professor," Black stuttered, licking his lips. "Pumpkin Juice doesn't suit me, I guess."
Dumbledore's lips twitched. "Alright," he said. "I hope you don't mind me having a closer look at the glove, right?"
"No. No." Black stood up, holding his pants. "You can even keep it, Professor. Just give me 100 Points for it…"
Dumbledore's lips twitched again. "How about 25?"
"Deal!" Black shouted, running out.
Behind him, Dumbledore shook his head, letting out a rare smile.

Black walked out from the Inventory and stared at Red Sun.
The man looked half-dead already. Next to him, Rintaro's head was pressed into his mobile's screen as he searched for something.
Suddenly, not sensing Black at all, Rintaro shouted. "Found it!"
The mad scientist rushed toward Red Sun and showed him the mobile.
It was a very blurry image of Moraine with a white t-shirt, showing her cleavage.
…
Red Sun gulped as he looked up.
Following his gaze, Rintaro looked up as well.
Black, wearing a black jacket over a black t-shirt and black jeans, was staring at both of them.
For a moment, the three men looked at each other. Then, with a cat's agility, Rintaro leaped and brought the mobile's screen near Black's face. "No need to be so grumpy. You can look as well."
If Red Sun's hands could move, he would have planted Rintaro's head into the ground.
Black took a deep breath and stared at Red Sun. "I will deal with you later."
Then, he disappeared.
…
Black appeared outside, hovering midair in the MegaTokyo.
On the grounds, in a mile radius, there were broken Jaegers; courtesy of Red Sun, RizeGreymon, and Beelzemon.
Black had sent Red Sun to make sure that Mega-Kaiju didn't fall into Mt. Fuji until he could come here after fifteen minutes.
Now, the fifteen minutes were all but over.
The Mega-Kaiju was just at the mouth of the volcano. Time wasn't in Black's favor at all.
After coming back from the moment that he had spent with his father, Black had realized one simple thing. The power he had thought to be at the Peak, wasn't enough. He had lots of trump cards, true. But not one of them could match one, true trump card of a higher-floor Contestant.
That's when Black had decided to work on making himself invincible physically using the Glitch. The main body meanwhile would focus on Mana and Breath invincibility.
And that's how this all came to be.
Black wanted to devour Godzilla!
But no matter the timeline, Godzilla couldn't be devoured. After countless analysis of the Ad Infinitum and hundreds of thousands of Lucky Intuitions, he had generated one way that could let him do so with a probability of over 50% — Devour Kaijus… and turn them into Growth type Blood Essence!
But there was one little problem with all this, especially now that Red Sun had failed to stop the Mega-Kaiju's advance.
Black still couldn't devour it as the beast was under Timeline's protection.
As the events of the main storyline had already diverged, with Jaegers gone, Black now knew that the Timeline would rather carry out a Karmic Dissolution by letting Mega-Kaiju trigger an extinction-level event.
The only way for Black to devour the creature was to bring it extremely close to death, minimizing the Timeline's resistance.
But how to do that?
Mega-Kaiju was a B Grade magical creature at least, if not B+.
Neither Kai nor Black possessed the firepower to bring such a thing down. In the main storyline, a Jaeger had gone to space and then had fallen right onto the beast to take it down. Even if Black repeated that, he didn't possess the same mass.
Then again, Mega-Kaiju won't just stop to wait for him.
Good thing was… Mega-Kaiju wasn't the only B- Grade beast in this timeline. Not anymore.
-Selene…- Black hissed. -I am leaving it to you, girls.-

Sensing the urgency within Black, an avalanche of silvery mist fell, taking the form of three-headed white serpent, each with a vertical eye on their heads.
Then, like a supersonic jet, Selene slithered away, annihilating all structures that came in her path.
Boommmm!
