Chapter 36 - Gifting the king

Amira made her way back to the hall, the chandeliers casting a warm glow across the room. As she entered, her eyes were drawn to Ivy, who was standing with Zyran, their figures silhouetted against the golden light, and with them was Ezekiel and Freya, who had a disgusted look on.

Ivy was draped over Zyran like a vine, her laughter filling the air and going over the music playing like a drunk hyena.

She swayed to the side, making sure she was making contact with Zyran, her hand attempting to Reston Zyran's.

Amira couldn't believe she had forgotten that Ivy would be attending the celebration.

Resolute Amira hurried forward, pretending to stumble and collide with Ivy. As Ivy staggered to the side, Freya also moved out of her way, allowing Ivy to fall to the ground.

"Oh my, Princess Ivy, I didn't see you there," Amira apologized, gratefully accepting Zyran's help to regain her balance. Ivy gave Amira a piercing stare, her displeasure evident.
