Chapter 682 - Chapter 682: A Storm Blows in Voldemort's Mind

Dumbledore stood still, his azure pupils staring meaningfully at Voldemort. His tone was calm. "Tom, there is no place that is absolutely safe... you should know this very well."

Voldemort's eyes looked gloomy.

Indeed, there are no places in this world that are absolutely safe.

He had been to the Slytherin Chamber of Secrets, infiltrated Gringotts, Hogwarts, the Ministry of Magic, and Azkaban, and had also overcome the Fidelius Charm protecting the Potter family.

These were all places that were supposedly 'absolutely safe'.

In that case, there was nothing strange about Dumbledore breaching his enchantments.

It's just that...

There's no way to use displacement-type magic like Apparition here!

For the sake of 'absolute safety', Voldemort had Anti-Apparition magic placed on the manor. No one from the outside could get in, and no one from the inside could get out.

This includes Voldemort himself.

In other words, Voldemort needs to fight!

Then take the opportunity to deactivate the Anti-Apparition Magic.

As if he had guessed Voldemort's thoughts, Dumbledore said indifferently, "Tom, since I came here to find you, I definitely won't let you escape... I believe you know that very well."

"Are you going to kill me, Dumbledore!"

Voldemort said in a cold voice, "You know you can't! I've already obtained immortality... Dumbledore, you can't kill me."

At the mention of 'immortality', Voldemort gradually regained his confidence.

Although he was no match for Dumbledore, Dumbledore could never kill him.

It's just a pity to lose Barty Crouch Jr. and Snape.

"Tom, I have told you many times that your biggest failure is that you do not realise that there are things worse than death."

Dumbledore's gaze was deep. "But...today...I might kill you."

With that, Dumbledore took out an ink-green locket from his pocket.

"Dumbledore, you're always so..."

Voldemort's words trailed off as his voice choked.

He looked at the locket in Dumbledore's hands in horror. "Dumbledore... how did you find it?"

"In a cave near the seaside. I did go through some trouble to find it," Dumbledore said truthfully.

Voldemort's eyes glowed with deep fear.

He couldn't suppress the worry in his mind. How many Horcruxes are still functioning in the world?

The diary and the diadem have been destroyed!

Nagini was at his side.

The locket was in Dumbledore's hands.

So all that remained were the ring and the golden cup!

Oh yes, there was Harry.

The boy who lived was also his Horcrux.

It had been an accident.

But now it seemed that it might be a good accident.

"Dark Lord, is everything all right?" Seeing Voldemort's expression, which was tinged with madness, Snape expressed some timely concern.

But Voldemort didn't even give Snape a glance.

His gaze was fixed on Dumbledore before him, and he said mockingly, "Dumbledore, are you going to kill the boy?"

"I have many ways to solve such a problem," Dumbledore said calmly.

Voldemort: "…"

There was no way to refute this.

Because the person who said this was Albus Dumbledore.

He was the greatest wizard of the twentieth century.

Voldemort was absolutely convinced that Dumbledore could solve Harry's predicament.

That left only the ring, the golden cup, and Nagini as Horcruxes.

Voldemort mulled over.

"Tom, the ring has been destroyed."

Dumbledore shattered Voldemort's hopes. "I don't suppose Pettigrew and Severus told you?"

"Of course, they weren't aware of it. You hid the ring in the Gaunt family mansion."

Voldemort's pupils constricted instantly.

"Why do you think... Collins didn't come with me?"

Dumbledore continued, "It's the Hufflepuff Golden Cup...isn't it? Once it's destroyed, you'll only have the snake left."

After saying this, a ball of blazing fire suddenly appeared in Dumbledore's hand, in which he was holding the locket.

"Ahh..."

A miserable scream echoed.

A dark mist rose above the flames, and Voldemort's face appeared and disappeared within it. As the flames spread, the mist was instantly burnt away.

When the flames died out, so did everything else.

Voldemort looked at the scene of destruction with horror.

He knew!

He knew all the Horcruxes!

Voldemort looked around in panic.

Nagini had been by Voldemort's side the whole time, and as long as the Anti-Apparition magic remained in effect, Nagini could not escape.

The ring had been destroyed!

Voldemort's heart pounded in terror.

The diary, the diadem, the ring, and the locket... the four Horcruxes had been destroyed.

Nagini cannot escape.

Dumbledore can solve Harry's predicament.

Collins is searching for the Golden Cup...

Yes! Collins has not found the Golden Cup yet!

Voldemort suddenly felt a glimmer of hope.

As long as he relocated the Golden Cup in advance and hid it somewhere no one could possibly find it, he would remain immortal.

Voldemort turned his head and looked at his loyal followers, Barty Crouch Jr. and Snape.

They couldn't possibly defeat Collins.

One of them needs to hold Collins while the other relocates the cup... No! One wasn't enough; more needed to be sacrificed to hold Collins.

***

"Aaaaaaahh!"

While Voldemort was brainstorming; in a room on the first floor of the Hog's Head Inn, Harry screamed, clutching the scar on his forehead.

"Here it comes!"

"Andy, I can see it!" Harry shouted.

Andy raised his wand and pointed it at Harry. "Legilimens!"

Bam!

The next moment, Andy saw Voldemort's memories.

Diary, ring, diadem, locket... one by one, the Horcruxes flashed in Voldemort's memory fragments.

Accompanying the creation of these Horcruxes was a rather diabolical 'Avada Kedavra'.

Voldemort raised his wand high.

A flash of green light.

Avada Kedavra!

Andy saw a lot of memories linked to the Horcruxes.

And the last Horcrux, the Hufflepuff Cup.

Voldemort gave it to Bellatrix Lestrange, and Bellatrix placed it in the Lestrange family vault—the Gringotts vault.

Gringotts...

With this, I've basically cleared all the safest places levels in the Wizarding World, right?

Andy thought to himself.

It's just that...

Andy looked at Hermione and then at Harry.

When going to a place like Gringotts, there was no way to bring along low-level accounts.

After all, Gringotts is not just an ordinary dungeon. Its status in the wizarding world is comparable to Hogwarts, Azkaban, and the Ministry of Magic — they are all the safest places in the wizarding world.
