Qin Youbei stopped in her tracks when she saw Gu Xiao standing before her.
It felt surreal. How could Gu Xiao be here? After all that had happened, she thought she would never see him again.
Had he come looking for her because she pushed his mother, furious beyond measure? Was he here to settle scores, or to lecture her?

"Is there something you need?" Qin Youbei broke the silence, surprised that she could ask him with such calm.
"Why didn't you answer your phone..." Gu Xiao asked softly.
"I was sleeping, I have things to do now. If you don't need anything, I'll be going," she said evenly and turned to leave, but Gu Xiao grabbed her wrist.
Qin Youbei turned to look at him, "What do you want, to blame me for pushing your mother down the stairs?"
Feeling his grip, her mood suddenly wasn't as bad.
