The next morning, Xia Wanwan woke up bright and early. Seeing her leave so soon, Xi Muchen furrowed his eyebrows again, his expression tinged with dissatisfaction.
"Why don't you sleep a bit more?" the man, who had just come out of the bathroom, asked, "Weren't you saying how tired you were last night?"
"No need to sleep anymore, there's still so much to do at the company; I need to take care of some things." Xia Wanwan, having already changed her clothes, hadn't noticed the man's unusual behavior. When she turned around, she was met with his displeased gaze. She felt a bit guilty and asked, "What's wrong?"
"Xia Wanwan, you can't possibly be this busy tomorrow as well, can you?" Xi Muchen looked at her, his eyes carrying a hint of grievance.
Xia Wanwan was taken aback, then blinked her eyes in puzzlement and asked, "Tomorrow?"
The man's anger suddenly exploded, filling the entire room with the force of thunder.
