Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 Flashback

Lynn was immediately greeted by the boy who awoke her earlier. The boy grabbed her by the hands.

"There you are! I thought you would take forever!"

He started to drag her.

"Come on, Su. Mother and Father are waiting"

"Ah, yes. We cannot let them wait"

Lynn said, the speech sounded weird in her mouth. But, she had learned something from the encounter with the boy. This boy was Suyin's brother. Judging by the height difference in them already, she would guess he was at least 14.

Two years older than this girl...

Lynn thought.

Suddenly, she got a sudden pain in her head. Lynn stumbled, and fell, the pain coursing through her body. She winced as the pain shot to her brain, making her head spin. Her vision blurred, and there was a ringing in her ears.

Wh-what is this...?

Images flashed through her mind. Pictures... go so fast, but somehow she could see them. They were pictures of this boy and Suyin playing together from Suyin's perspective. Suyin and this boy used to play together all the time. They would read books in the library, go swimming, and play pranks on their parents. Lynn saw the way this boy smiled gently at her through Suyin's eyes, and how he would gently grab her hands, pulling her along to the next activity.

Kenzo... thats his name. And he seems to care deeply about Suyin... I have to stay close to him. Judging by the flashbacks I just had from Suyin's life, Kenzo is her older brother, and best friend. I need to make it so it seems as if I really am his sister.

"-in! Su-! Suyin!!"

Kenzo's voice shook Lynn back to reality. He was holding her closely in his arms. His brows furrowed.

"Are you okay, sis? You suddenly fell, and I got worried..."

"I'm..." She took a deep breath

Just... act the way Suyin acted in those flashbacks. So he won't get suspicious.

"Don't worry about it!" She smiled, feeling slightly weird how she had to talk to him. "I'm fine. I must've tripped."

"Ah..."

Kenzo's grip loosened.

"Are you sure you're alright? It seemed like you were hurt..."

"I'm fine. Trust me."

Lynn smiled up at him and booped him on the nose, as she had seen Suyin do so many times in the flashbacks.

"Oh...." Kenzo let out a sigh of relief. "Thank goddness. I would hate it if Mother and Father found out that I had accidently killed my little sister!"

He chuckled and Lynn laughed as well.

"Yeah, that really would be bad for you, wouldn't it?"

She teased.

"Well,"

Lynn said, standing up with the help of Kenzo.

"We should probably get going. We don't want to keep mother and father waiting"

Lynn forced these words out of her mouth. These people aren't her family, they're Suyin's family. She shouldn't be feeling so... attached.

Maybe it's not me who's feeling this way. Maybe... it's because I'm in Suyin's body. Yeah, that's right

Lynn thought as she followed Kenzo.

This whole.... family thing felt weird to Lynn. In her old life, her family was never this nice. In fact, they were the opposite. They were strict, and pushed Lynn to her limits. They didn't hate her, as gar as she knew, but they gave her a lot of tough love. Until... that day...

Lynn shuddered slightly. She didn't want to remember.

"You alright, Su?" Kenzo asked.

"I'm fine, Ken" Lynn responded, using Suyin's nickname for her brother. "I'm just feeling a bit unwell. It's nothing too bad, though."

Kenzo frowned. "Alright...."

They kept walking in silence.

Fuck! How could I have already screwed up?

Lynn thought.

Damn it... this might be harder than I thought....
