Colwyn rolled onto his feet almost immediately. The only sound in the serene trial grounds was the droplets of water rolling down his armour to re-join their brethren back onto the thin puddle surrounding the monolith.
The trial had lasted just over two days. Only ending after he reaffirmed his desire to stop Rio, not when he killed the prince with a spear tip. Apparently he had misjudged the nature of the 'trial of fates', and that it was more about striving to overcome an emotional challenge rather than a physical one.
Watching as the elf dressed in silver approached, Colwyn let himself relax. The drake knight had had a rough experience, and despite considering himself to be in a better place for it, was still on edge. In comparison, the silver elf was positively elated, with her usual polite smile being replaced with a genuine grin.
"Champion of the world!" She started as she neared, "You've done remarkable! I am truly impressed."
