The sound of running water efficiently masked their dialogue, but Julian would rather remain cautious.
"No," he answered telepathically. "It's impossible."
Following his lead, Hong Yunyi too responded telepathically, "How can you be so sure?"
"Because not all nausea hails from pregnancies," Julian snapped. "I cannot get pregnant, that's all I have to say."
Hong Yunyi had a conflicted expression on his face.
"Even recessive omegas can get pregnant, however low the probabilities are."

Hong Yunyi refused to give up.
"If you really are, you cannot do this, you know."

Hong Yunyi leaned closer to Julian and glared at him.
"You are going to harm your child. And probably lose your life in the process."
Julian clawed at the smooth marble surface of the counter and stared at the distance.

"Let me get you a test pack," Hong Yunyi offered.
"Just to be sure. There is no harm to it, right?"
