Asriel was within his room packing up his things, he filled a suitcase up to the brim with various items such as clothing, food, fur care, etc. This was going to be his first crazy trip in a long time and he just wanted to make sure he was completely ready and didn't want to make a bad impression on those he knew he would soon meet. His eyes would glance around the room observing it for one final time in what would be.. Likely a couple months. His eyes would dart around looking at his bed now neatly put together, his dresser where he often spent his time doodling away at some fancy new idea that spurred up into his head. He stepped over to his desk and looked down to see his latest drawing, it was a more refined version of his God of Hyperdeath form that he thought looked oh so cool; a laugh escaped his lips. He found his childish things humorous yet endearing, but just as he was about to walk away from everything now, he saw a small golden sparkle catch his eye. His gaze turned to the right of the page and spotted a golden locket, his hand quickly grabbing it and holding it close towards his own heart. A sudden sigh of relief would leave him.
"Thank goodness I saw this, I don't even remember taking it off."
He facepalmed a moment internally for being so foolish, and then he put the locket around his neck and a big smile came back onto his expression once more. He then picked up his suitcase and walked out the door.
"We're going to see the rest of our family today, can't leave out my big sister can I?"
===================================================================================
There was a soft crunch of the ground as three different sets of footsteps would gently go over a lush verdant field of grass. It was quite open and many trees circled it with a rather large gap of open area in the middle.. Yet there was a cut within those lines of trees. It stood right in front of the three individuals that stood there who all came to a stop upon seeing the opening in the trees. Toriel, Asgore, and Asriel all stared down into the darkness of the opening using magical eyesight to see further. All their eyes locked upon a cave that was blocked off by a rather large boulder, the boulder having a magical seal on it with utmost intensity and mastery, they could only actually notice it because of their special linkage with this place. But on the other hand none of their magical levels could compare to the potency of the seal, it was somewhat intimidating. Toriel would point towards the cave a moment before speaking slow words, a somewhat serious tone unusual for Toriel.
"Within that cave is something I have not told either of you about. You know how there weren't many fox monsters like me in the underground?" Toriel posed a rhetorical question which got both Asriel and Asgore's attention heightened, insisting for her to go on.
"It is because we fox monsters originate from elsewhere outside of the earth. We are more spiritual creatures that have existed for a long time. Most monsters are long descendants of the foxes.. and other Yokai. That cave is how we go too and from here." Toriel would stop her explanation and simply started walking again as the two of them would follow up behind Toriel.
Asgore and Asriel both had a sort of strange expression as they stared off straight forward not looking towards Toriel, and then they both looked towards each other. Their expressions being a mixture of shock and awe, how were you supposed to feel when something big like this was just dropped onto you. Asgore seemed to compose himself more than Asriel not seeming as shocked, he was quite the old monster, he has heard many stories along his time so he could put pieces together. On the other hand Asriel would find himself wanting to know more now. He paused for a moment to think and then broke the silence.
"Why didn't you ever tell me about this before mom, what are these people even like-" Asriel would be paused when Toriel halted the both of them as they had reached the cave.
"I didn't tell you because… they aren't very fond of me. I was a princess within that world and they arranged for me to marry a man. I wanted nothing to do with him, I could tell just from the look in his eyes that he was a no good fox. Now for any other question you will have answered within the place yourself. Now let us go." Toriel would put her hand to the rock as it started to glow, she spoke in a tongue unknown to Asriel and Asgore, yet one they could strangely understand. This language had no earthly origin, it sounded like unintelligible gibberish, and at the same time something that was higher, beyond any sort of understanding. And once she had finished gabbering something within the tongue of Yokai the rock would move itself off to the side and open itself for the three of them. Now before them was a swirling portal of light and dark blue energy spiraling into a singular point that appeared to stretch on infinitely. There was something ominous about the very portal, it seemed like they shouldn't go within it.
Despite this Toriel would step right in without any further hesitation. Asgore looked over to Asriel and grabbed his arm. "Don't worry my boy, I'm sure it's gonna be alright… just tell your mom she owes me another pie okay." Asriel would just chuckle, but he didn't exactly answer him. Despite this Asgore would just take a step in with his son to enter into the unknown, but it wouldn't be that scary if they all were going together. Just wish Tori didn't go in so fast without them. The two would look backwards to see the rock moving itself back once more covering the entrance, and they look forward once more as they slid through a stream of reality; they could not tell what was going on, but they certainly were going somewhere.
