"So, do you have any big energy sources?"
"Well, we have things called divine beasts, they are massive threats that have to be stopped, but there has been none strong enough to take them on, until now, I hope. You can take whatever energy you want but leave us the bodies."
"Very well."
"You can find them at each peak, but do be careful, they are unbelievably powerful."
_
Well, that was anticlimactic… but anticipated.
The divine beast gave an epic speech, but then I just S*itama'd it, but it did have a lot of energy.
Well, a few more to go.
_
"Oh, I'm sure she'll die, then we don't need to worry about-"
"Alright, the beasts are dead."
"… A-a-already?"
"Yep."
"W-well. Did you get enough energy?"
"Close, but no."
"I s-see."
"Well, I'mma look for more energy."
I stepped out… stopped and simply spoke.
"Also, if you intend to kill me, don't try. Too many have failed already."
I took two steps,
Then I had to dodge.
The figure crashed, causing an earthquake. But then he stood up.
"So, this is where you were hiding, Rose."
"And you are?"
The angel did a bow.
"My name is Jilhon."
"And let me guess, you work for Michael."
"Indeed, I do, I am one of his commanders."
"So, why do you think you'll win?"
"Because you don't even have enough energy to warp."
"True, but that still makes me stronger."
"Heh, we shall see.
"But not here."
"Why?"
"Look around you, we are in the middle of a city, don't hurt innocents."
"Oh… you are right, well, outside of the city!"
The Angel strutted off.
"Rose, who was that?"
"An angel, and my ticket to enough energy to get the heck outta here."
_
"So, are you ready to die?"
"Nah, I am prepared to get out of this world though."
"And how do you intend to do that?"
"By killing you an gathering your energy."
"My, you actually think you'll win?"
The angel burst out laughing.
"Why yes I do."
"Heh, how disappointing, you'll die and leave nothing."
The angel charged me, and I blocked and struck at him.
He dashed back and leapt up, bouncing off of the air. I then grasped his power.
He could make tiny platforms to leap off of.
That made him a lot quicker and allowed him to fight more decisively.
He leapt up then leapt towards me.
Of course, he wasn't the only one that could do that.
I leapt to the side, then leapt up. I clashed with his blow. Static flickered and the world shivered.
I kicked and he was knocked back.
"Fool. That won't work on me."
"Ah, but you let your guard down."
He spun back quickly, but I slashed his arm, causing it to get flayed.
He jumped back and snarled.
Then he dashed forward, but he was no Hades.
I cut into his arm again, then I pushed through and knocked him back.
Then I charged forward and cut into his neck.
He began to realize that he was at a severe disadvantage.
"How…"
"You're weak."
I leapt forward and slashed at him, and he struggled to dodge but got hit.
Then I grabbed his arm and pulled him towards me.
When we began falling out of the sky I began to punch him over and over.
Then I slammed him on the ground, causing a crater.
"Crap. I… have to get out of here."
I grabbed his wings and ripped them off, then I drew my sword and stabbed his head.
The energy spasmed, but I absorbed it, then I was able to warp again.
"Finally, that was irritating."
The people looked at me in fear.
"Welp, I gotta go, have a good day."
Then I warped out.
_
"Hello, I have returned."
"Told ya."
"Lady Rose, we were worried!"
"We weren't. How'd you get back?"
"I had to kill one of Michael's commanders."
"Nice."
Milel was in confusion at the casual discussion of my disappearance.
"So, how'd you get lost?"
"I got a new weapon."
"Nice."
Jalad nodded with a smile.
"So, was it a hard fight?"
"Not really, he was overconfident and had way too many openings."
"Quite expected."
"Indeed, by the way, have any developments happened?"
"Nope, not yet, but Michael is preparing something according to our intel."
"I would suspect, but we also have something up our sleeve."
"Typical, and I suppose you will not tell us until after it had come into effect and saved our butts."
"Correct, you are catching on."
I strolled off towards my destination and I heard Milel wonder aloud.
"How have you people survived this long?"
I snickered and skipped towards someone.
"Hello Dallel."
"Rose? You're back."
"Yes and… hello Callel."
"Hello Rose. I thought to visit my brother."
"Yes, and he is as good at humor as I remember."
"Well, I should leave you two to talk."
"Alright."
I started to leave.
"Oh Rose?"
"Yes?"
"Let's talk this evening. In the woods."
"Got it."
_
I was sleeping on the park bench like normal until it became evening. Then I got up.
I stood and stretched before jogging towards the forest. I knew exactly where Dallel wanted to meet.
I did it slowly, watching the nature.
"So, you came."
"Indeed, I did."
"I know your plan."
"You do."
"I figured it out, watching Darsen play with his gift."
"You have to admit, it is a good plan."
"It is…"
Then he hugged me.
"Rose…"
Silence.
"We have three more, don't we."
"Just three more."
"What if I only make it through one more?"
"I will not let that happen."
"Y'know, I promised to protect you. It wasn't supposed to be the other way around."
"I know. But I'm happy it turned out this way."
"You're too selfless."
"I try."
"You need to learn to be a bit selfish."
"I'd need a teacher."
"Well, lucky you have me."
"Am I?"
"Let's start tonight."
And then we kissed on the Night of Moonlight.
