"Are you seated? Let's hit the road!!" Hu Junyan said with a giggle after seeing the two of them get in the car. He then pressed the clutch, shifted gears, and stepped on the gas, his old beat-up car making a loud "vroom" sound before shooting forward.
"Whoa..." Tianxin, not sitting steady, tilted backward with the force of inertia.
"..." Chen Yiran had a snarky comment on the tip of his tongue but ultimately held it back.
"Oops, sorry about that, we were on an uphill, and if you don't give it some gas, it can stall," Hu Junyan explained apologetically after glancing at them in the rearview mirror.
