Chapter 4496 - Chapter 3580: Mind Catcher (Part 1)

Oliver took a deep breath and turned to look at Helen, who was eating pizza beside him.

Helen's development was nothing like Aisha's slow pace; she already looked like a girl of twelve or thirteen. Her appearance was more like Loki, but she had inherited Stark's eyes that seemed tender towards everything. At this moment, she was looking back at Oliver.

Looking at her overly clear gaze, Oliver felt a headache coming on. Even knowing she was Doomsday, sending such a child to deal with such a powerful enemy seemed inhumane.

"Is it my turn now?" Helen gulped down the pizza in three bites, burped, patted her chest to settle the food, took two sips of cola, and then said, "Just wait and watch me give him a beat-down!"

Finishing her words, she was about to run out when Oliver quickly grabbed her, a bit helpless as he said, "Hold on a second. If you just rush over recklessly, what if you get beaten up by him?"

"That's not possible. Even if he gives me a thrashing, I'll quickly get back at him." Helen said as she wiped her mouth with a napkin.

"Alright, you're tough, but we still need a battle plan," Oliver said. "His mental state isn't very stable now, he's going mad. If you rush up directly, not to mention whether you can beat him, it would be disastrous if you endanger the Sun."

"Are you suggesting I lure him away?" Helen said with a slight frown, "I can do that, but I might not fly as fast as he does. If he starts attacking halfway, Earth would also suffer."

"For some reason, he's going mad around the Sun, but by the looks of it, he shouldn't easily leave the Solar System. So, our operational goals are twofold: one, keep the commotion as low as possible, and two, aim for a one-hit kill."

Helen shook her head: "That's not feasible. I must have a fierce battle with him to find out his strengths and weaknesses, only then can I evolve abilities specifically targeting him. Without confrontation, my evolution ability is useless, I might not be able to beat him."

"You're already strong enough," Oliver said. "We're not just going to send you head-on against him; your job is just to hold on for a while, and leave the rest to others."

"That's not a problem. But I'll say this upfront, I can't just stand there and let him hit me, I will definitely hit back. I'll try to keep the noise down, but if something breaks, don't blame me."

"Rest assured, as long as you don't deliberately take a bite out of the Sun, we won't hold you accountable."

Helen slowly shifted her gaze away.

"Spare our Sun, it's already unlucky enough!" Oliver raised his voice and said.

"Alright, I promise you," Helen said, "But after the battle, you have to get the Green Lantern Corps to find me a suitable Sun. I want a big feast... no, you'd better find me a few to replenish before the war."

Oliver vigorously rubbed her head.

Five minutes later, the meeting room was filled with people once again. Oliver said, "Time is of the essence now, so I'll get straight to the point. Hai'er has gone completely mad, nullifying our negotiation plan, so we need to reconstruct our battle strategy. My idea is, we must organize a strategic showdown, to unite all forces, channel all efforts into one decisive move."

"I don't oppose a showdown," said Lex, the first to speak, "But if we can't be sure to nail down Hai'er in one breath, it would be better to take it slow. But since you've already said this, you must have a plan, right?"

"That's right," Oliver nodded and said, "Clark sent me a message, he has a plan. Coincidently, the Professor also sent me a message, and he too is preparing an alternative approach."

Lex placed his hands on the table, leaned forward, showing interest as he said, "Let's hear it."

Oliver slowly uttered a single word: "Kingdom of Dreams."

Lex revealed a knowing expression, then said, "This is indeed a good method. If we can enter Hai'er's dream, perhaps we can find his mental weaknesses."

"Even more remarkable is how Barry, the Professor, and Clark's plans coincide in certain aspects. I've sorted out the procedures, take a look."

Everyone received a piece of paper, including the pairs of Batman and Superman. All except Oliver narrowed their eyes at the content.

Batman and Superman exchanged glances, even the Injustice Batman and Injustice Superman glanced at each other.

"It's insane," Batman said.

"...but definitely feasible," said the Injustice Batman.

Both Supermen were still in shock, unable to recover. Superman stammered, "This... it can't be?"

Oliver smiled at him.

Batman nudged Superman's arm with his elbow and said, "You know they're madmen, so don't raise any objections, or they'll toss you into the Sun."

Superman quickly clammed up.

The meeting room was silent for about a dozen minutes, everyone was digesting the crazy facts and contemplating the feasibility of this plan in their minds.

Once they had thought enough, Oliver said, "Now, I'll assign the battle duties. Soon, Bruce will send over the detailed data of Hai'er attacking the Sun. You two will analyze the data and coordinate with Helen for training, preparing for a frontal confrontation."

Oliver looked at Superman and Batman, and then at Helen.

Superman and Batman certainly hadn't met Helen before, but they thought she might be some kind of super second generation, or perhaps a strong new young hero, so they nodded.

"The work for you two is going to be a bit troublesome." Oliver looked at Injustice Batman and Injustice Superman, "You need to return to Gotham, enter the Kingdom of Dreams with the Professor, and cooperate with him to find Hai'er's weakness in the dreamscape."

Injustice Batman squinted slightly. Is he finally going to meet this mysterious Professor?

Next, Oliver arranged some other tasks, then adjourned the meeting. Helen stood up from her seat and tidied up the pizza delivery boxes. Batman and Superman came over, and Helen smiled at them.

"Hello, Adelaide Stark. You can just call me Helen." Helen shook hands with Batman.

Upon hearing this surname, Batman found it somewhat familiar. However, he had just entered the Battleworld not long ago and hadn't interacted much with superheroes from the other world, plus the Stark surname isn't particularly rare, so he didn't notice anything.

"What's your ability?" Batman still asked first.

"It's a bit complicated." Helen scratched her head, momentarily not knowing how to explain, and said, "I have many abilities, but not many can be used against that madman. If I had to describe it, I'm quite tough. It's impossible for him to kill me."

Batman understood that this should be the reason why Oliver wanted Helen to take the front lines. He also believed Helen could certainly accomplish it.

Because, from his observation, the Justice League of this universe is a little crazy, but Oliver is definitely the soul figure and moral beacon. If he wasn't absolutely confident, he wouldn't send such a young girl to the battlefield.

But very soon, Batman realized he had underestimated the madness level of this universe's Justice League.

Originally, Batman thought Helen would take the elevator downstairs, as the training ground was there. Batman and Superman had visited it earlier.

Who knew Helen took the elevator downstairs only to throw out delivery trash. After tossing the trash, she instantly took off.

This was fine too. It's normal to be able to fly; after all, how could one conduct cosmic battles without flying?

The key was she flew directly to the Green Lantern Teleportation Gate upstairs, passing through the gate and entering a somewhat dim and open space in the cosmos.

Superman also brought Batman along. The two speculated that Helen's combat might be a bit loud, so she deliberately conducted exercises in space.

But very soon, Superman found out this wasn't the Solar System, and they were even close to leaving the Milky Way. It's the end of the second arm of the Milky Way, a very open and uninhabited area without any stellar bodies.

Alright, this also made sense, Batman thought. Practicing within the Solar System might be detected by Hai'er, which would be less than ideal. Didn't expect this young girl to be quite cautious.

Then, in the next moment, they saw a planet-sized colossal object. Turning back, a pair of immensely huge and terrifying vertical pupils were staring at them. The pupils had sinister patterns, resembling lava flowing under a planet's crust.

Batman clearly heard Superman gulp.

Because this guy was so huge, they couldn't see clearly at first. Until Superman took Batman slightly further away, they realized this colossal entity looked strikingly familiar.

"I have a question; if Doomsday is Superman's enemy..." Batman started off calmly but by the end was shouting, "What did the local Superman do? How did this universe's Doomsday become like this??!!"

"Good question." Superman nodded and said, "I want to know too."

Actually, most Doomsdays in various universes aren't very tall, just slightly taller than Superman. Generally set to less than three meters in height. Some are depicted in comics with body types reaching around ten meters.

The Doomsday in Batman and Superman's universe is similar to Prime Universe, standing about five or six meters tall when upright. Although indeed strong, it isn't considered a giant beast.

Helen mainly ate too much in Marvel. It's not just magic energy to the fullest, but chomping on entire universe's planets at will. Today she'll snack on two red dwarfs, tomorrow maybe a neutron star like candy.

The Three Great Empires weren't without attempts at hunting, but Doomsday's evolutionary ability was too formidable. A weapon only hurt her the first time; the second time it was ineffective. Over time, Helen's scales became nearly immune to all attacks and started chasing fleets of the Three Great Empires.

They could only avoid her sharpness, treating Helen as a cosmic disaster, steering clear when encountered.

This made Helen even more unrestrained. To consume more, she evolved larger body size. At peak form, she devoured stars effortlessly. This time, she was holding back out of concern for scaring Batman and Superman.

Helen floated in the empty area of space, patted her chest with claws, looking at Superman and said, "Come on, hit me here."

Superman glanced at Batman, then at Helen. He extended one hand and said, "Let's agree first; you aren't allowed to hit back..."

"Of course. I'm just here to train resistance. Moreover..." Helen hugged her arms, her gaze flicking between Superman and Batman, then smirked dismissively and said, "You two aren't even enough to fill my teeth. Hurry up and let's get this training done. I need to go devour a few more suns to replenish."

Superman and Batman exchanged another glance. Hai'er just exerted force against the sun in the Solar System, while she casually mentioned consuming several suns. Does she think they're snacks?

For a moment, they weren't sure who was truly the big villain jeopardizing cosmic safety. After all, both appearance and conduct; compared to Hai'er, she was slightly superior.
