Chapter 94 - A Little Surprise

Greg scanned the area. "The east side. There's a service road that leads straight out of here. But it's gonna be tight."

"Then we move. Vince, cover us from the rear."

"Got it."

We sprinted, dodging stray gunfire as alarms wailed through the complex. Guards shouted orders, but the darkness worked to our advantage. I could hear the hum of approaching engines — backup was on the way.

"Faster!" Greg barked. "They're closing in!"

I stole a glance over my shoulder. A convoy of black SUVs was speeding toward us, headlights cutting through the dark.

"Vince, do something!"

"Hold on!" He furiously tapped his screen. "Deploying a little surprise."

A sudden explosion erupted near the SUVs, sending debris flying. The vehicles swerved, tires screeching as they attempted to regain control.

"That was not little!" Greg shouted, but there was a hint of satisfaction in his voice.

"You're welcome," Vince quipped.
