23rd September 1996.
"Bingo!" Harry and Fleur whispered as they slipped out of a classroom under the guise of multiple charms that hid their presence. Harry shook Fleur's hand and they nodded to each other with devious smiles on their faces before a bang was heard in the classroom, followed by several screams as the entire class was subjected to an explosion of magic. The most prominent and shrill scream was that of the woman standing in front of the class. She was Professor Elouan.
Harry and Fleur burst into laughter and slightly cracked open the door to the classroom to see the scene inside. As the smoke subsided, almost all of the students' hair had been transfigured into snakes that kept waving around. Some of the girls started screaming again as they felt their 'hair' biting their cheeks and almost fainted right there. Some of them did indeed faint. The professor was the one who had it worse. Her 'hair' had the most volume and was almost spreading out while also enveloping her within. Still, she didn't panic and cast a spell on her hair as the snakes started receding.
A few moments later, the hair started growing again and started assaulting her face. She frowned and cast another spell that stopped the snakes and made them recede again. It still didn't work and she kept trying as Harry and Fleur slipped away while laughing proudly.
"God, this took a lot of effort…" Fleur said as she wiped a tear that had escaped her eye after laughing so much.
"Worth it…" Harry said, "We got bingo."
"Yeah, now let's get to class before someone accuses us and catches on," Fleur said as she grabbed Harry's hand and quickened her pace.
"I think they already know, Fleur." Harry laughed.
"Yeah," Fleur agreed, "But knowing and having evidence is different. They know it's us, but they can't punish us if they can't find us."
"Such a meticulous prankster…" Harry chuckled while quickly moving with Fleur. Reaching the door to a classroom, Harry pushed Fleur inside before making his way to his own class. This was the only time that the duo would separate. Fleur's biggest regret about Beauxbatons was that she and Harry were a year apart and it infuriated her to no end since it meant that she couldn't sit in the same class as him, ever.
By the time lunch rolled around, Harry and Fleur were in the great hall grabbing something to eat. In the middle of their meal, an owl came in and dropped a letter in front of Fleur before flying away. Just as Harry looked at the letter that Fleur had received, another owl came in and dropped a package in front of Harry with a letter attached to it.
"She finally answered?" Harry asked Fleur.
"Something like that," She said before looking at Harry's package, "Your mum sent you something?" She asked.
"Apparently," Harry pulled out the envelope that was stuck under the string that tied the package together. Pulling out his letter, he started reading it before his eyes widened, "She gave it to me…" Harry said with a shocked tone before smiling gleefully.
"What?" Fleur asked.
"The cloak…" Harry answered with a wide smile on his face. He barely stopped himself from opening the parcel right there.
"That cloak?" Fleur's eyes widened and she asked to confirm.
"Yes," Harry nodded, "Dad's old cloak," He then continued reading the letter and his smile slowly turned into a solemn frown.
"What is it?" Fleur asked.
"Same stuff that she told us before… And she's apparently bound a very powerful magical sword to me," Harry said with a frown, "Though I don't know how the hell I'm going to use it…"
"Hm?" Fleur frowned confusedly and read the letter after taking it from Harry. Her eyes ran through the text until she came to a conclusion, "This trip seems less like an exchange program and more that we're going to a warzone."
"We are…" Harry said, "Mum said that it is time for me to accept my true heritage, whatever that's supposed to mean… And this Sword of Gryffindor…" Harry trailed off as he kept reading a specific sentence, 'Call upon it in a time of need and the Sword of Gryffindor will answer.' It was as cryptic as telling Harry that he should just hope for the best, "Whatever," He shook his concerns off and turned to Fleur, "What about your letter?"
Fleur tore open the envelope and pulled out the letter before flipping it over. Two chains with small pendants attached to them fell from the envelope onto the table as Fleur narrowed her eyes at them before unfolding the letter and reading it. Meanwhile, Harry grabbed one of the chains and focused on the oval pendant. It didn't seem to be anything noteworthy other than an engraving of a black rose with embers of fire rising from it. There were four hemispheres on each side of the rose and they all had the left side missing. Harry thought of something and looked at the other pendant. As he'd expected, the other pendant had the exact same design except for the hemispheres on all four sides having their right sides missing.
The design almost seemed crude to Harry, but there was a sense of awe that he felt from both pendants that told him that they weren't as simple as he thought. He turned to Fleur and asked, "What does it say?"
"Nothing really…" Fleur said, "She just told us to wear the lockets at all times and the opportunity would present itself when the right moment came," She grabbed one of the lockets and started examining the pendants before giving Harry the one that had the right sides of the hemispheres missing, "This one's yours and," She grabbed the other locket before saying, "This one's mine…"
Harry opened his mouth to say something about how weird this all seemed to him, but just closed it and shook his head before handing Fleur his locket, "Help me put it on," He said before turning his head to the side. Fleur ran her fingers through his long messy hair that reached down to his neck and slid it to the side before pulling the locket around his neck and latching it.
"You need a haircut," She said before letting go of his hair, "It's all messy and unevenly grown."
"Come on," Harry turned to look at Fleur and shoved the locket under the neckline of his shirt, "You love my messy hair."
Fleur turned her head to the side before sliding her silky platinum blonde locks to the side, revealing her nape to Harry. He could see the hickey that he'd left on her neck during the morning and felt tempted to leave another one. Sadly, they were in the middle of the hall, so he merely gave her a light kiss on her nape as Fleur shivered and moved away, "Not here, 'Arry!" She turned and admonished him with wide eyes.
"I know, I know…" Harry chuckled before saying with a sad tone, "I'll go out in the cold and get my hair trimmed a bit if you want," He acted like a lost puppy as Fleur turned back around, letting Harry slip the locket around her neck before latching it.
Fleur turned to give him a sly smile and tilted her head to the side, "No one else is touching your hair, do you understand, Potter?" Fleur brought her face close to Harry's and put her hands on the sides of his head, holding him in place, "I'll be trimming your hair like I always do."
Seeing Fleur act this way, Harry felt a fire burning inside him and wanted to push her down on the table after clearing it out. Sadly, there were other people here and there were limits to how well the concealment charms could work. "You sound unbearably sexy right now, do you know that?" Harry asked her and rested his palm on her knee, slowly trailing it up her stocking as her skirt started getting raised.
"Are you saying that I don't sound sexy other times?" She asked him with a teasing expression as a blush rose on her face. Looking into her eyes that seemed to suck him in, Harry felt a certain part of his anatomy start to rise and had to gulp while trying to suppress his desires with his Occlumency. Still, he didn't stop the movements of his palm and it kept rising along her thigh, pushing her skirt higher and higher.
"You're always sexy, my love…" Harry said huskily, "But right now, I just want to push you down on the table and bury my face in between your thighs, eating you out as you moan ceaselessly…"
His words only made Fleur smile even more, "Then let's finish up, we don't want my neediness and arousal to go unfulfilled, do we?" She asked while trailing her hand along Harry's face, pushing a lock of his hair behind his ear.
"No, that would be a crime of the highest order…" Harry smiled and stopped moving his hand higher, resting it where he could feel her quivering and arousal while not making her skirt rise up too much, "Leaving a Veela unsatisfied, I might be in prison…"
Harry's words made Fleur recall how she'd been left needy and desperate for two hours two nights ago and no matter how much she begged, Harry kept teasing her without fulfilling her. Her eyes which were previously full of arousal took an annoyed turn and she huffed in his face before turning away and letting go of his face, ignoring Harry's laugh.
