It's a quiet afternoon at the hospital. Carla and Isabella find a corner in the cafeteria, the familiar hum of the lunchtime crowd swirling around them. Carla's brown eyes flicker over the room, her mind distracted, but she quickly settles into the conversation as Isabella sets her tray down.
"I'm just glad we finally get a break," Isabella says, rubbing her eyes as she sits across from Carla. "It's been non-stop today. I swear, the ER is always packed after an event like that."
Carla laughs softly. "Tell me about it. The chaos never stops. But honestly, I'm just glad I swapped shifts with you. It's nice to take a breather."
They each pick at their salads, their conversation flowing easily as they exchange updates on their hectic mornings.
After a few minutes of light-hearted chatter, Isabella sets her fork down, her expression turning more serious. "Carla, I've been meaning to ask... How is Marilena handling the photos from the event?"
