Chapter 590 - Chapter 590 Killing and Destroying The Heart

Evil spirits are not Post-Mortem Nen, but a kind of existence between Post-Mortem Nen and parasitic Nen Beasts.

Unlike Post-Mortem Nen, they cannot exist independently or perpetually.

They require a host with whom they share a causal relationship, sustaining their existence by constantly draining the host's life energy.

Theoretically, evil spirits cannot pose a direct threat to Nen Users, but their sheer numbers can change that.

In Chrollo's opinion, if the number of evil spirits he inherited from the Voodoo Doll could attach themselves to Moses, it would at least be equivalent to putting a negative buff on Moses that would suppress his Manifested Aura and consume his Potential Aura.

This process would continuously wear down Moses' physical and mental energy.

Thus, before succumbing to death, Chrollo hoped to witness the spirits transferring onto Moses.

However-

The scene unfolding before him was beyond his understanding.

'With a mere hand gesture signaling 'No', those troublesome evil spirits dissipated?'

'Even Nen Exorcism Ability requires a process, right?'

'How on earth did he do that?!'

Chrollo's pupils trembled a few times, unable to understand this phenomenon.

Moses lowered his hand.

In fact, he did not use his Nen Exorcism chance to force the evil spirits to disperse. Instead, he used his own existence to intimidate the evil spirits and make them retreat on their own.

How is it done?

Because Moses is a man who had died once.

"I can turn them to ash in an instant, just as I can obliterate that Nen Space called the Land of Exile in an instant. Do you understand now, Chrollo..."

Of course, Moses wasn't about to grant Chrollo the comfort of dying with clarity. He neither explained the reason behind his actions nor directly mentioned any words related to the Nen Exorcist.

Instead, he used this phenomenon as the topic to mention the Nen Space Chrollo had specifically prepared to counter him.

With Chrollo's intelligence, it only took him a moment to decipher the meaning behind Moses's words.

'He could clearly leave the Nen Space at any time, but he still chose to stay in the Nen Space to face the encirclement and suppression of the three of us?'

'Who is the hunter and who is the prey?'

'In the end…'

'We had been the prey all along.'

Only after understanding this cruel fact did Chrollo realize how ridiculous the 'coffin' he prepared for Moses was.

It turns out-

He was already being checkmated from the very beginning.

Chrollo's eyes gradually dimmed.

Whether it was due to the disheartening realization or the loss of life force, his spirit was visibly waning.

After Moses's 'killing and destroying heart' attack, he didn't say anything else. He just turned his head to look at Kurapika, whose emotions were fluctuating wildly, and then took two steps back.

At this time, Kurapika should actually be advised to control his emotions, otherwise, he will definitely be harmed by the side effects of the scarlet eyes.

But in the end, Moses chose to remain silent, letting Kurapika vent as he pleased.

Kurapika glared at Chrollo with unwavering intensity.

When he saw Chrollo showing the emotional reaction a human should have because of Moses's words, something shifted within him. Perhaps it was a sense of release, or perhaps he simply couldn't bear to look at Chrollo any longer, Kurapika suddenly pulled back the chain with force.

Rip-

As the chain was retracted, the clothes on Chrollo's chest suddenly burst apart, and a torrent of blood erupted, accompanied by fragments of his shattered heart.

Chrollo's body collapsed lifelessly to the ground. In the final moments before darkness consumed him, he heard a voice laced with unrestrained fury.

"Go to hell, you monster..."

As the last syllable echoed in his ears, Chrollo's eyes slowly closed.

The man who had founded the Phantom Troupe was now utterly devoid of life.

Kurapika also finally couldn't hold on any longer. His scarlet eyes quickly returned to normal as he staggered backward before collapsing.

Moses extended an arm, steadying Kurapika by supporting his back.

Feeling the strength touching his back, Kurapika's body instinctively relaxed, his exhaustion overwhelming him as he closed his eyes.

The high-intensity battle, combined with exceeding the time limit of his Scarlet Eyes state, had taken a severe toll on both his body and spirit.

At this moment, after finally finishing off Chrollo, Kurapika allowed himself to succumb to unconsciousness

"Menchi."

Moses turned to look at Menchi.

Menchi immediately understood and walked over to support the unconscious Kurapika, then headed toward the exit passage.

Shizuku came to Moses's side, watched Menchi and Kurapika leave the venue, and then looked at Chrollo's lifeless body.

"Moses, should we clean up this garbage?"

"Huh?"

Moses was stunned for a moment, but soon understood what garbage Shizuku was talking about and couldn't help but chuckle.

Is the Phantom Troupe garbage?

Of course.

Even if the Phantom Troupe was created for a reason...

It is not enough to justify their actions over the years.

"Clean it up, but leave the head."

Moses nodded towards Shizuku, then closed his Aura Nodes and entered Zetsu state again.

During the earlier fight against Chrollo, Moses was there to help Kurapika and the others just in case.

Although the Potential Aura recovered at that time was not much, he had been ready to intervene if necessary.

Later, in order to rescue Kurapika, he acted in time to cut off Chrollo's arm, but this also consumed the Aura he had managed to recover.

Now, he has to enter Zetsu state again to restore his Potential Aura so that he could deal with Feitan later.

When Shizuku heard what Moses said, she didn't ask why Moses wanted the head left intact. She immediately conjured Blinky and cleanly removed Chrollo's head before disposing of the remaining body parts.

Once the task was done, she dismissed Blinky and looked up at Moses expectantly, as if to say: Praise me!

Moses gave Shizuku a thumbs-up and said, "As expected of our cleaning expert."

"(#^.^#)"

Shizuku smiled brightly.

Moses chuckled and lowered his hand, watching Menchi and Kurapika leave the venue. Then, he thought of something and took off the necklace, which is Rat Jewel in transformation.

Rat Jewel is now a unique entity. Since separating from Hawk's Nen Ability System, although it can still continue to use Nen Ability, its consumption is extremely high.

Just using No Entry on Chrollo once used up almost all of its Aura.

"Shizuku, help charge Rat Jewel."

Moses handed the necklace to Shizuku.

He now has very little Potential Aura left, so he can only ask Shizuku for help.

"Okay."

Shizuku took the necklace, and channeled her Aura into the blue bead on it.

As Moses watched Shizuku recharge Rat Jewel, his attention shifted back to the ongoing battles in the venue.

He wasn't planning to interfere in Hisoka and Machi's fight, so he focused on Biscuit and Feitan's battle instead.

'Auntie's burden is too heavy.'

Moses couldn't help but sigh in his heart when he saw that Biscuit could only hold Feitan at bay without causing any significant damage.

In fact, rather than having to kill Feitan with his own hands, Moses would rather see how the transformed Biscuit utterly crush Feitan.

Unfortunately, it is impossible for Biscuit to transform in public.

'I'll wait a bit longer.'

Moses continued observing the battle intently.

He had to wait until his Potential Aura restored to a minimal threshold before making a move.
