"Is it over?" Xin Yan asked.
"It is but the person behind all of this now knows someone has become aware of his arrangements." Noah shook his head with a sigh.
"But it's not all bad news." Noah said, "I have managed to find the location of where the souls have been taken away to."
Before Noah could say anything more, he heard the growling voices of the magistrate roaring at the maid in anger.
"How could you do this to… her!"
"You have been by her side since you were both children, and she treated you like her sister."
"After all that we have done for you!"
Noah glanced at him as Xin Yan whispered in his ear. "I thought he would kill her by now."
"He wants to but cannot bring himself to do something like that to her…" Noah glanced between the two of them and replied with a faint whisper of his own. "Not when she means so much to him."
"What do you—" Her words were cut short as the maid finally snapped and lashed out back at the magistrate.
