Amelia Clarke was looking down at her feet, noticing the sleek marble floor covered with a thin layer of moisture, making it slightly slippery.
Suddenly, a chill swept up the back of her neck, causing her heart to skip a beat. Before she could react, she felt a blur in front of her eyes as a force—soft yet firm—pulled her forward, causing her to stumble.
Immediately, the sound of a body hitting the floor rang in her ears.

The sound was loud.
Everything happened too quickly, and Amelia was momentarily panicked. Although she couldn't see clearly what had happened, her instinctive perception of danger made her vaguely realize that something was wrong.
When she had gathered her wits, the young girl who had been washing her hands at the washstand and one of the cleaning staff were fighting, while the other one was lying on the floor, clutching his stomach in pain.
The young girl was clearly winning, and soon, the cleaning staff member was sprawled on the floor.
