Lily froze. "Dum...dumplings?"
Where could you even buy dumplings around here?
If it were steak or pasta, that'd be easy to manage.
But dumplings? You'd have to go to a Belden-style Restaurant.
And in this area—where would you even find Belden Cuisine?
Sofia Hamilton smiled, "It's fine if we can't get any. I just wanted to eat them. If there's no way to buy them, then forget it."
"Oh."
Lily asked again, "Then what would you like to eat later?"
"I don't feel like eating anything. If there aren't any dumplings, I suppose I just won't eat."
"Skipping meals isn't good. You'll hurt your stomach."
"It's no big deal. Missing one or two meals won't kill me."
She said this with a smile. Just as the secretary was about to head out, she added, "Oh! Cancel tonight's dinner arrangement for me, and make a reservation for a room at the XX Hotel."
"A room reservation?"
Lily looked puzzled. Didn't Ms. Hamilton always go home?
