Although Jasper had said to let bygones be bygones and that he wouldn't dwell on the matter, she refused to let it go; she had to prove her innocence!
Without waiting for Stella to respond, Evelyn Crawford hung up the phone and quickly walked towards Jasper's bedroom.
He should have returned from his morning run by now, right?
When Evelyn reached the door of Jasper's bedroom, she knocked but got no response.
