There's a common saying: Hesitation leads to defeat.

At the critical moment of life and death decisions, indecisiveness is never a good choice; it causes precious time and opportunities to slip away. The so-called situation is not a static unchanging state but a dynamic and constantly changing one. When one side does nothing, and the other is actively improving their situation, the balance of victory and defeat will clearly tilt to one side. Therefore, whether it is an army or an armed organization, no matter at the tactical or strategic level, from theory to practice, words like "decisiveness" and "zeal" that are full of initiative are emphasized. At some military academies, if the examiners feel that a student's "proactive spirit" is not strong enough during the thesis review, it is very likely they will be eliminated that year. Conversely, they might top the class.
