Hua Yan looked at Yun Chen, who was staring back at her with his little face earnestly. His tiny white and tender hand was holding onto her finger tightly. Earlier, he had grabbed hold of Yun Rang with this same hand, and Hua Yan knew then how strong his grip was. Yun Rang couldn't break free, but Hua Yan had never experienced it herself and thus didn't realize how strong he actually was, until now.
Hua Yan stared at Yun Chen for a while and smiled, asking, "Do you hate to see Mom leave?"
Yun Chen didn't blink an eye.
In his eyes and expression, Hua Yan read "If you have to leave, take my regards with you." She couldn't help but laugh softly, touching his forehead with her finger, "Such a little creature, and already so clingy? Mom isn't going out to have fun, but to the military camp, which is dangerous. I can't take you along."
Yun Chen blinked, but still stared at her with eager eyes.
