Nathan Cole felt wistful, thinking that if this had been in the past, Matilda Jenkins would have never sat quietly as she was doing now, listening to him talk such nonsense.
Normally, even finding someone to vent to was difficult, but now that he had run into Matilda Jenkins, he almost couldn't wait to spill all the unhappiness from his heart.
But then he suddenly felt that something was not right. Scarlett Glenn had asked him to look after Matilda Jenkins and, if possible, to guide her more.
