Chapter 112 - Absolute Mayhem (1)

Point out any errors I made in the chapters, as I'm very lazy and sometimes can't be bothered to reread them. Also, give your opinions on something I should change or add.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Left unable to get past the troublesome defensive spell, the Trial Creatures could only switch their attention to the person who had cast the spell, all of them gazing at Celestina with murder on their minds.

As long as they killed her first, the spell would naturally deactivate, and Feng would be free pickings at that point. Their goal set, the over four hundred clones commenced a full-scale assault on the Demon Empress, all of them rushing towards her with their eight thousand flying swords practically forming a net that closed in on her; the duplicates clearly planning to make short work of Celestina and finally eliminate their target.

Satisfied with the result and that the Trial Creatures were targeting her first in order to forcibly bring an end to the flaming snake and black barrier protecting Feng, Celestina held the Pandemonium Lashblade, prepared for battle.

She had chosen this Tier 5 Defensive Spell, which was top-tier and among the strongest of the ones currently available to her, as it was the best option for this situation. Although the barrier created by the spell didn't have the highest durability or defensive power, being only above average among Tier 5 Spells, its Soul Python was the perfect counter to the Trial Creatures.

Higher-tiered beings would not have to worry as much about the Soul Fire that isn't directly used by a powerful Great Demon like herself, and they could always bombard the barrier from afar without needing to risk getting close since the flaming snake could not go more than a few yards from the barrier.

But for the Tier 1 Trial Creatures, even getting grazed by the Soul Python could be fatal, and since they don't have any ranged attacks capable of passing the Tier 5 Spell's defensive threshold from such a distance, their power in numbers was effectively neutralized.

Now the Fengs were forced to either wait out the Tier 5 Spell's duration, or take her on in order to get rid of the barrier, but since Celestina would not be sitting still during this time, the latter was their only viable option.

Thus, the second round commenced. This time, there were even more Trial Creatures besieging the Demon Empress, numbering more than twice in size, along with there being thousands of more phantom Abyssal Blades coming at her at all times. The pressure she faced was many times greater than before.

But Celestina wasn't having any trouble handling their onslaught.

Now properly wielding the Pandemonium Lashblade, not needing to worry about Feng's safety nor getting nerfed by his Destroyed Yog-Sothoth that affected both friends and foes the same, and calmly fighting without undermining her opponents, the Demon Goddess showed off her true power as she faced the four hundred and twenty-five Fengs.

She also wasn't trying to go all in and murder them, following Feng's plan and buying him time.

Feng looked down at the battle taking place several hundred yards below him and saw Celestina taking on the Trial Creatures, using her skills and techniques with extreme precision and mastery as she continuously pushed them back.

Even with her getting constantly bombarded with attacks from the clones and their many flying swords, Celestina is able to respond adequately, taking advantage of her superior strength and manipulation over Mana to deal with everything they threw at her, especially utilizing her powerful Mana Domain to suppress and often times overwhelm the replicas.

Seeing that she wasn't having any difficulties with fighting the large number of Trial Creatures, Feng no longer paid attention to the battlefield, closing his eyes and focusing inward with his Soul Manipulation ability.

Through the perception of his soul provided by the ability, Feng could see the things happening inside his soul, getting to witness the vast dark fog enveloping his soul and nearly devouring it whole as the Chibi Sharlyn stood in the soul's very center and held her ground.

Apart from the epic exchange between the miniature Creation Goddess and Moloch's Ring's immense Power of Darkness, Feng also noticed a large number of soul strings connected to his soul, the thin blue lines formed from soul energy extending far away to where Feng could not see them.

In total, Feng counted four hundred and seventy-five soul strings. Understanding what the World Summit Trial was doing, he focused and attempted to follow the soul strings using his ability to see and reach what they were connected to.

Over twenty minutes passed in the blink of an eye, the sky having been shaken by Celestina's and the Trial Creatures' battle.

During this time, both sides had dished out plenty of blows and done some damage to each other, neither really getting the upper hand as they fought.

Originally, the Trial Creatures had thought that they would have an easy time eliminating the demon girl considering how their previous battle with her went when only two hundred Fengs had taken action. Now with more than double that amount and many more phantom Abyssal Blades participating in the fight, even if they didn't have their Berserk Skills active, it should have been a piece of cake to kill her with their overwhelming numbers.

However, Celestina proved to be much more formidable than they had thought. Fighting against her was an arduous task and she seemed to be an opponent too powerful to defeat.

Due to the Demon Goddess being so strong, resulting in their battle remaining ongoing longer than expected, and Nine Dragons Slash not lasting long, its duration being merely a minute and forty-five seconds even after getting enhanced by the Savitarian Carnation Bloodline, the Trial Creatures were soon in the fight no longer able to rely on the Magic Weapon's skill to fly.

Although the fifty clones on the ground activated their own Nine Dragons Slashes and provided flying swords for the over four hundred Fengs to stand on, that only extended the time they could fight like that by less than two minutes.

When those phantom Abyssal Blades disappeared as well, the Trial Creatures were forced to use their own wings to fly, but in order to not lose out against Celestina too much, they split up into squads, with one hundred of the clones using Imperial Ascendance, gaining a huge boost in their strength along with having four pairs of wings to fly with without having to sacrifice any attributes; whereas the rest unequipped their Chesplates and flew around after them, using either Heavenly Dragon's Power or Power of Darkness to increase their strength enough so that they don't get completely destroyed by Celestina.

Those with Imperial Ascendance took the front charge and did most of the work as they had the highest attributes and most mobility in the air, while the rest provided support and attacked whenever an opportunity arose.

There now being no swarm of flying swords constantly bombarding her allowed Celestina to move much more freely and fight back a little, the number of clones that were attacking without a break still making it difficult for the Demon Empress to properly demolish the clones like she could though.

Despite their greatest efforts, the Fengs were unable to land any truly damaging blow on Celestina or put her in a bad position, constantly getting pushed around by the powerful Great Demon.

Even when the clones enveloped the demon girl in dozens or a hundred Lustful Domains, she still kept going strong without being affected all that much.

At Celestina's standard, she could completely separate her physical sensations from her mind and remain uninfluenced by the perverted skills' effects, the Demon Goddess not registering how sensitive her body had become as she continued fighting by forcing her body to move. This did make her movements a bit stifled compared to normal and decreased Celestina's combat power by a bit, but it was much better than getting completely incapacitated from just blocking attacks.

As time passed, not only were they in a worse position since the first two batches of Imperial Ascendance had ended by now, so they were forced to have other duplicates activate theirs while the former tanks switched to other Berserk Skills, but they were also starting to slowly run out of powerful skills to use against the Demon Goddess as she continued to push them back and break apart their formation more and more using her abilities and techniques.

Worst of all, Celestina was starting to decrease their numbers, having killed several of them near the beginning, with the death toll gradually rising and the speed at which she was eliminating the Fengs as more time passed also increasing. By now, the demon maid had already killed over fifty of the Trial Creatures.

Granted, she only managed to kill off so many at the start due to them not taking Celestina as seriously and merely focusing on overpowering her as quickly as possible without minding losing a few clones. However, it soon became clear that she was no easy opponent so the Trial Creatures changed their strategy, preventing heavy losses.

Still, Celestina was managing to whittle down on their army one by one, slowly killing them with the rate at which she could attack increasing with each fallen replica.

Though, that didn't mean that she could win like this as fighting so hard and with such intensity was beginning to take a toll on the Demon Goddess.

In order to defend against the Trial Creatures' nonstop attacks, Celestina couldn't pause for even a moment due to the number of her opponents, and it was especially so when the Fengs used powerful skills, Combat Techniques, or combined their strength for an attack.

Each time she faced a powerful attack, of which many constantly came at her, Celestina had to use her own skills, Combat Techniques, and Mana Techniques in order to just defend herself and not get overwhelmed, with it requiring even more effort to fight back, while killing the Trial Creatures was an incredibly difficult ordeal.

Regardless of her strength and level of mastery over her abilities, it still took a considerable amount of Stamina, Concentration, and Mana for her to stand against the Trial Creatures.

Although Feng had previously given her a few Life Crystals to recover lost energy during the time they were flying, the recovery speed could not keep up with her consumption in this intense fight, while the effects were starting to fade by now, and Celestina definitely won't have a chance to consume any more of them in all this chaos.

If the situation doesn't change and she continues fighting like this up against the clones, even if Celestina is able to fight them off for now and kill many more with her abilities, she'll eventually end up too exhausted to fight.

Hence, while being in her current predicament, the Demon Empress's fall is just an eventuality.

The Trial Creatures seemed to be aware of this as well, not giving Celestina a single chance to catch her breath and recover as they launched a full-scale assault on the demon girl, planning to take her down no matter what as even if all four hundred and twenty-five of the clones inside the Magic Array die in the process of eliminating Celestina, the remaining fifty on the ground who were operating the barrier could still handle finishing off Feng.

Three Fengs appeared in front of Celestina, their swords erupting with a golden glow as they slashed at the Demon Goddess with extreme speed and viciousness. Flapping backwards to draw some distance, the demon girl immediately countered with a Tier 5 Skill, creating a torrent of putrid winds that caught up the Worldly Purifications from below and scattered their power.

Before she had even fully finished executing the skill, Celestina sensed another clone appear behind her with Instant Strike, cutting at her snow-white neck using another Worldly Purification.

Barely bending her neck and avoiding the sword's trajectory in time, the Demon Goddess escaped the blow by a narrow margin without even looking. Still not bothering to glance at the Feng flying behind her, Celestina's fist had already long begun moving while she was dodging its strike, her flawless hand smashing into the Trial Creature's chest without it being able to avoid the punch in time.

As Celestina's fist was making contact with the replica, Mana in the space between them flowed differently and went berserk as it was directly poured in by Celestina, causing black sparks to erupt on the duplicate's chest as space near the punch distorted.

Saint-ranked Mana Technique, Black Flash[1]!

A huge hole appeared in the Trial Creature's torso, revealing the sight behind the clone and practically turning it into a donut.

Losing control over its body, the replica began to fall, turning into black fog after a moment passed.

The fight not stopping for even a split second, five more Fengs appeared around Celestina using Ethereal Blitz and Instant Strike as they launched Moonchasers and Worldly Purifications at her. Not surprised by their actions, Celestina immediately blocked the blows despite having just performed a Saint-ranked Mana Technique and killing a Trial Creature without looking.

Black Flash was a really convenient technique for Celestina as although its power and range were quite limited for a Saint-ranked Mana Technique, it could be used instantly without any preparation or needing to gather large amounts of Mana for it. However very few people in the universe could use the Mana Technique as it was very difficult to master and nearly impossible to use consistently due to being an incredibly complex technique.

For Celestina, who had millennia of experience in using Black Flash and stupefying mastery over the Saint-ranked Mana Technique, though, it was easy to use it on demand, being a technique she often utilized.

It was especially useful right now since it was a very quick, versatile, and powerful ability to use on these Tier 1 Trial Creatures, killing them without question if it lands, and it didn't require much Mana to strike with, even less than that of many basic Mana Techniques. The only drawback was the immense demand on one's focus and Concentration to execute properly, but that was a minimal obstacle for the Demon Empress.

Thus, she could easily use it to instantly kill a clone as long as it was close enough to hit, and go back to fighting the rest with no delay.

But currently, Celestina was being pushed to her limits.

After avoiding the next combination attack from the Fengs and blocking the following few with Advanced Silver Combat Techniques and regular Mana Techniques, two replicas struck at her back with a Worldly Purification each when Celestina had just countered a different attack, having no time to block, dodge, or use any skill or spell that had the power to defend against the Tier 4 boosted skills in time at this distance.

Resigning herself to getting fucked up by the purification in their attacks, Celestina could only try to put up some basic amount of defense and reduce the damage she received as much as possible. The two blows would definitely cause a lot of damage and heavily injure Celestina due to her being a demon, but the attacks at least won't be fatal.

Even if these attacks do put her in a bad position, Celestina still has items like the Revres Volu which Feng had given her before the fight to fall back on in case of a sticky situation occurring. Thus, getting hit here was only a setback that signaled that she'll soon lose, but not instant death.

Just as the golden-glowing swords were about to cut into Celestina's back, however, both Fengs suddenly froze in place, not moving a muscle as if something had seized their entire beings. Moments later, life faded from the clones' eyes, and they both turned into small clouds of black fog.

Shocked to see those two Trial Creatures suddenly up and die for no reason, Celestina and the replicas paused their intense fighting, wanting to figure out the source of their inexplicable deaths.

Celestina, being an expert well-versed in souls, recognized the phenomena and knew that the clones had died due to their souls either shattering or going through some kind of malfunction, but she had no idea what could have caused something like that to occur under these conditions.

It would have been different in the outside world as a plethora of factors and possibilities could have played into the sudden development, but here in the trial space, she wasn't sure how the Trial Creatures could have had their souls compromised; while this obviously didn't happen at random and was an intentional assault on them.

Left with only one possibility after racking her brains, Celestina gazed up at Feng, who sat safely inside her Tier 5 Defensive Spell. He was the only one she could think of that could have brought about this incident.

Aside from there not being anything else that could have resulted in the duplicates' souls falling into such states, the Demon Goddess also knew that Feng had some kind of ability that allowed him to interfere with other people's souls. The details of what and how he does it weren't clear to her, but the demon maid figured it may be possible for him to have achieved this feat even at such a distance and seemingly no contact or connection with the clones.

Having seen everything that Feng is capable of and the things he has achieved up until now, Celestina didn't find it implausible for him to have done this, as nothing concerning Feng could surprise her anymore.

Seemingly figuring out that Feng was the cause of their comrades' deaths as well through their own means, all the Trial Creatures turned to glare at Feng, now deep caution appearing in their eyes.

As they all suspected, that was naturally Feng's doing. By using his ability, Feng had traced back the soul strings to their cores, and found that he could interfere with the cloned souls.

This had been Feng's plan from the beginning and why he had been very confident in easily passing the Second Phase, knowing that the trial needed to use his soul as a reference to create the Trial Creatures. So by using the method he had learned during the Twelve Trials while trying to find the source of the Unicorn's soul, Feng managed to follow the soul strings to the replicas' souls, planning to shatter them all and instantly clear the phase.

He never even entertained the idea of using this method in the First Phase since the Tier 5 Trial Creature had not given him any time or opportunities to attempt to do it, while even if he did, interfering with a Tier 5 soul would be impossible for the current Feng.

In the Second Phase, though, it was more than possible for Feng to deal with the souls of these Tier 1 Trial Creatures, and he had been confident it would be an easy victory as long as he got the chance to try.

However, things had not been as simple as Feng had originally imagined.

When planning out how he would clear the God Mode World Summit Trial and thinking about the Second Phase, Feng thought that there would probably be around one hundred clones that he'd end up facing, or, at most, two hundred of them.

With Celestina by his side, taking them all down would have been easy enough as the Demon Empress was definitely strong enough to even potentially defeat two hundred Trial Creatures by herself, and she'd have no problem stalling them all out until he manages to figure out how to destroy their souls.

Upon seeing that God Mode was on a whole other level than Asura in the First Phase, Feng had guessed that there would probably be more Trial Creatures than he initially expected just like how his prediction of the clone being Tier 4 had been incorrect.

But Feng still figured it wouldn't be too big of a problem as he had Celestina, so either having her fight them longer or employ hit-and-run tactics to buy him time to recover and use his ability was fully possible.

God Mode proved to be much more challenging, though. Five hundred Fengs, even at only Tier 1, were too many for Celestina to handle at once, and they were forced into fleeing. The Trial Creatures still trapped them inside a Magic Array in the end, leaving them with no choice but to fight.

Thankfully, all the running had bought Feng enough time to recover all of the Concentration he had expended in the First Phase, allowing him to finally use his ability and locate all of the cloned souls.

Of course, it still wasn't so easy to accomplish his goal of shattering their souls as Feng immediately learned that doing something like that, even through a soul string connection, was much more difficult than he could have ever suspected.

Not only was it incredibly complicated to do, it was also extremely taxing on his Concentration and consciousness to constantly keep up that connection.

Once again, Feng's plans had been foiled, and he could only try to eliminate the Trial Creatures' souls one by one.

His only two options in doing so were to either sever the soul string, which although would be quick and simple enough, just cutting off the connection would not kill the clones, merely getting rid of them for a while as they would not be able to maintain their form until the trial reestablished the connection;

Or Feng could send his own soul energy into the opponents' souls through the soul string and have it destroy the souls from the inside by interfering and stopping its operations until it eventually falls apart. This took a lot more effort than the first option, and it was much slower and very difficult to do, requiring considerably more Concentration, but it guaranteed an instant kill that would permanently get rid of a Trial Creature.

Cutting off the soul strings was much more efficient and effective. However, in order to sever the connection created by the World Summit Trial, too much soul energy was needed, and doing it on a larger scale for all of the Trial Creatures was impossible. Moreover, since they wouldn't actually die and could eventually reappear, it wasn't exactly a solution.

Thus, Feng could only settle for slowly sending his soul energy over into their souls and breaking them apart.

As he was pondering on which clone to eliminate first, Feng, who had been paying some attention to the fight this entire time, noticed that Celestina was getting really jumped by this point and falling into a bad position.

Observing from above and using his own knowledge of his skills, Feng predicted which two Trial Creatures would appear behind the Demon Goddess next by utilizing Instant Strike and attack, sending his soul energy into their souls and causing them to go haywire.

The result was at least satisfactory as the two clones' souls could not continue functioning for long while the foreign energy was interfering and disrupting them, breaking apart within a couple of seconds.

Noticing that Celestina and the replicas had stopped fighting to look up at him, Feng quickly contacted the demon maid through their contract and told her to continue attacking the Trial Creatures.

His words brought the Demon Empress back to reality, and without hesitation, her Pandemonium Lashblade cut through the air at a group of Fengs. Sensing Celestina's attack, the duplicates were awakened as well, immediately dodging and blocking her slash.

Following up the strike with a Saint-ranked Mana Technique, the Demon Goddess upped the pressure on the Trial Creatures, which went back to bombarding her with attacks while trying to not get killed. Thus the battle continued.

Now, whenever Celestina was pushed to a corner or got sneak attacked without having the time to defend herself, Feng would blow up the attacking clones' souls, always eliminating the ones who posed the greatest threat to the Demon Empress.

Within only a few minutes, the two of them were thinning down the Trial Creatures' numbers, slowly killing them all off, some falling to Celestina's blade and some getting assassinated by Feng's Soul Manipulation.

When only around three hundred and fifty replicas remained and another squad's Imperial Ascendance was about to end, they knew that the situation could not be allowed to go on like this, so the Trial Creatures decided to bust out another combination move.

All of them abandoned the fight in the sky and simultaneously flew down to the ground, standing in equally distanced positions as if predetermined beforehand. And in the next moment, the clones began running at their fastest speed, leaving behind doppelgangers with each step.

At the same time, numerous large blue Magic Arrays started appearing in the sky, gathering Mana inside them.

Phantom Stride! x351

Drago Buster! x35,451

With the Trial Creatures' immense speed and them executing Stepping Reality, each of the clones could create around a hundred doppelgangers in a single second. Every single doppelganger was summoned with Drago Buster as its designated skill, which it immediately activated along with the replicas.

Witnessing this, genuine fear appeared in Feng's and Celestina's eyes, realizing what was about to befall them.

Flying down after the duplicates, the Demon Empress hastily threw out a Tier 5 Skill at them, hoping to interrupt their casting of Drago Busters. But the Trial Creatures simply countered by all of them slashing up at her attack with Thundering Flashes and controlling the seas of thunder to condense in order to maximize their power.

Over three hundred and fifty compacted Thunder Flashes flew at the demon girl's attack, and with each of the thunderbolts carrying power at the Tier 4 Peak standard, even with Celestina's greatly superior strength, Mana, utilization of her skill, and its execution, the Tier 5 Skill merely managed to reduce the combined sea of lightning's power by around a third as it continued coming at her.

The Demon Goddess had to use a Tier 5 Skill and Spell in order to quickly block the thunder and continue flying down, casting another Tier 5 Spell to disrupt the clones' actions. Responding in sync to the incoming attack, all of the Fengs used Phantom Kill, the doppelgangers sending out their own Thundering Flashes at Celestina's spell; while also casting their Drago Busters.

Frustrated, Celestina blocked the Thundering Flashes again, this time using a Saint-ranked Mana Technique upon getting closer to the ground, wishing to instantly wipe out all of the doppelgangers which had yet to disappear and stop the Trial Creatures from summoning so many at the same time.

Knowing that this attack was much more powerful and that they couldn't defend against it with simple skills, while they also didn't want to pause their casting of numerous Drago Busters, the Fengs running madly on the ground decided to switch gears.

For a single second, they began creating doppelgangers that possessed Thundering Flash instead of Drago Buster, and had all of the doppelgangers slash up at Celestina's Mana Technique with the skill.

As it was used by these weak doppelgangers, their Thundering Flashes were nowhere near as powerful, having merely Tier 4 Basic level power, so they couldn't compare to the Trial Creatures' previous usages. However, there were now over a hundred times more thunderbolts colliding with the Demon Goddess's attack.

Her Saint-ranked Mana Technique came out victorious as it broke through and erased the forty thousand seas of thunder, but its power had diminished enough from the exchange that the Fengs were able to simply block it by all of them combining their Dragon's Breath; remaining completely unharmed by the Saint-ranked Mana Technique as they never stopped creating more doppelgangers that continued to cast Drago Buster.

Before Celestina could attack with another powerful Mana Technique, the clones all activated Nine Dragons Slash and Mysticsteel Dualblades, including the ones operating the magic barrier trapping Feng and the demon girl inside, sending over nine thousand and two hundred flying swords at her.

Being too close to the ground and the thousands of swords that had appeared, the Demon Empress didn't have time to gather enough Mana and execute another Mana Technique, having to block the incoming phantom Abyssal Blades and platinum-blue swords lest she gets turned into a porcupine by the numerous swords.

Not planning to let up and allow the clones to do as they pleased, though, she merely used a defensive skill to block the thousands of swords, temporarily halting their advance, before executing a regular Mana Technique to scatter and get rid of them.

However, under the Trial Creatures' expertly control, her efforts were futile, the clones controlling a few thousand of the flying swords to spread out and circle around her before she had even tried to fend them off, now surrounding the demon girl from all sides and having the weapons stab her from behind.

This arrangement forced Celestina to constantly block hundreds of swords coming at her at all times from every direction, not giving her any time to fight back.

Over a dozen seconds passed without the Demon Empress being able to break through despite her efforts, making Celestina feel like crying.

None of these moves should have been able to be of any threat to her or cause a Primordial Demon Goddess like herself any trouble to deal with, their power not being nearly adequate enough to achieve that.

But due to their stupidly high numbers, Celestina was getting overwhelmed, unable to even fight back properly. Seeing this, she finally realized that the Second Phase was just too cruel when even she was falling into such a miserable state while up against TIer 1 humans, not to mention how others would fare.

Then again, you weren't supposed to be challenging God Mode while at merely Tier 4; and definitely not while being at as low as Tier 1.

Once again, her idiotic contractor was to blame for her misery.

Meanwhile, that master of hers hadn't even bothered to try stopping the Trial Creatures from creating more doppelgangers and having them continuously cast Drago Buster, knowing he could do nothing about it.

Feng merely gazed blankly at the sky and watched as it was completely covered in blue Magic Arrays, questioning his life choices.

So many Drago Busters were activated that there was no more space for the Magic Arrays without them overlapping, causing more to appear either higher up or lower from the first few hundred thousand.

The clones held nothing back either, using all their available skills for increasing Movement Speed, including Wind Blade, Windwalk, God Speed, and even Void Shield, along with whatever Berserk Skill they had remaining.

By the time Phantom Stride's over fifty-second enhanced duration was over, one couldn't even tell that the sky was gray, looking blue no different than in the outside world.

From Feng's rough estimation after calculating how quickly the Trial Creatures were moving and how many doppelgangers they were making until the end, there had to be over eight and a half million Drago Busters currently ready for activating up in the sky.

Escaping their range was impossible, and running away had never been an option to begin with, as if Celestina had attempted to break the magic barrier trapping them, the clones would have just immediately fired off their first few hundred thousand Draconic Spells at her and Feng, and neither of them would be able to normally survive that.

Now that she failed to interrupt them, their only option was to receive the cataclysmic-level bombardment of Drago Busters.

Celestina had already given up on attacking the Trial Creatures near the end of Phantom Stride after realizing there was nothing she could do against them, returning to Feng's side and staring in awe at the sky.

Even for her, a gathering of so many attacks numbering this high wasn't seen often, and she had never seen such a small group of creatures create a spectacle this big. Moreover, these were all Draconic Spells cast by Tier 1 beings.

The only time Celestina had seen so many Draconic Spells be used at the same time was in one of the Universal God's Domain's largest wars in which the dragon race had participated and launched a full-scale assault.

But it was a first for Feng, and there were only a few rare occasions where he had seen an attack of this scale be enacted.

When they sensed that all the Magic Arrays in the sky had finished gathering Mana and were starting to activate, the two of them stopped admiring the sight and prepared to block this apocalyptic threat.

Teleporting away wasn't possible as the Magic Array the Trial Creatures had created somehow blocked off spatial skills even for him, and he'd at best be able to teleport inside the magic barrier.

Not that doing so would achieve anything since there was no place inside the dark Magic Array that was safe from what was about to come.

The only other way to leave was through the void, but Feng could only use Void Walk to enter the void by himself, so he couldn't take the Demon Empress with him unless he first returned her to the Spectral Animacell, entered the void, and then brought her out.

However, that would leave him open to attacks not only on the outside but in the void as well, which his replicas could also freely enter, and he had already sensed that a few had gone in preemptively, as if predicting that he'd try escaping through it, so they must have already set up an ambush by now.

If he went in without Celestina being there to protect him, Feng, still in his Heavily Weakened state, would immediately get killed by the Trial Creatures who had Berserk Skills active.

Yet, sitting here and facing the millions of Drago Busters seemed like a death sentence in and of itself.

When the blue meteors began firing out of the closest Magic Arrays, the two of them had their positions locked and prepared to defend like it was all or nothing.

Immediately, Celestina took out Revres Volu, activating all four of its skills without hesitation, before beginning to cast one Tier 5 Defensive Skill and Spell after the other, whereas Feng took out whatever items he had that could either provide defense or reduce the incoming attacks' power.

Shield Cycle!

Airstrike Shields!

Chainball Shield!

Halo Shield!

Tier 5 Skill, Blasting Tavly!

Tier 5 Skill, Loop Silk!

Tier 5 Spell, Howling Reset!

Tier 5 Skill, Otradz Plin!

Tier 5 Spell, Nihil Block!

Tier 5 Skill, Applied Theory!

Tier 5 Spell, Voltage Dlust!

Tier 5 Spell, Bizzarre World!

Spamming everything she had in order to survive, Celestina ran through her abilities like they were Tier 1 skills, resulting in her Mana draining like flowing water.

Feng merely had to take out his items and activate the skills while directing them, his low Mana not allowing him to do much except the abilities' basic utilization, but the Demon Goddess had to cast each skill and spell from start to finish, making sure to properly chant the incantations or form the magic circles and activate them in order to use the skills and spells at maximum power.

Her part of the work was obviously much more difficult, and the only thing Feng could do was try to not disturb her as she created most of their defense.

As they were rapidly activating skills and casting spells at their highest speed, the first wave of blue meteors reached their area.

When activated, Drago Buster usually created nearly a hundred shooting stars.

Although the power of the numerous falling stars currently coming at them was much lower due to the doppelgangers' own power and poor control since the Trial Creatures naturally couldn't properly control each of them to maximize their potential, each of the Draconic Spells still operated nearly the same as normal and created their usual amount.

And since they were Tier 4 Draconic Spells, even at such a weak level and low Completion Rate, each of the blue meteors carried power nearing the Tier 5 standard.

Hence, what Feng was currently facing was truly terrifying.

Even Tier 6 Gods would shit themselves when over eight hundred million attacks with practically Tier 5 power came at them all at once; much less Tier 1 creatures with only a Tier 4 sugar mommy protecting them.

Yet, Feng and Celestina stayed relatively calm. At least, calm enough to not scream or fall into despair when seeing the millions of blue meteors falling towards them, still managing to react optimally in this scenario and look for a path towards victory.

Upon the first collision, the two of them finally understood what they were truly up against, and immediately paled.

Celestina's Tier 5 Defensive Skills and Spells were usually very effective in their purpose, Feng being quite familiar with their power, and when cast by the Tier 4 Demon Empress with her otherworldly Mana control, the defenses could hold against even several attacks from Tier 5 beings.

But within less than a second, the first spell standing in the shooting stars' way got broken through, thousands of blue meteors having crashed into it simultaneously and completely shattering it as they exploded.

Her next few large-scale Tier 5 Defensive abilities didn't fare any better, barely resisting and slowing down the meteors' descent. Altogether, their first line of defense managed to block and neutralize around two hundred thousand of the shooting stars, they might as well had been made out of paper before this bombardment.

In the next moment, however, as the descending meteors fell within one hundred and fifty yards of Feng and Celestina, their speed suddenly dropped by a noticeable amount, while the blue glow that shone from the stars dimmed slightly.

The Drago Busters' projectiles had just entered one of Celestina's Tier 5 Domain Spells, Bizzarre World.

To make it through this armageddon, the two of them were throwing out everything they had, but there were four main things that they were banking on for their survival, while the rest was simply there to reduce the pressure however much possible. The first part was Celestina's Mana Domain, as at her level of mastery, the demon girl's Mana Domain nearly reached the standard of World Creation, and it greatly weakened all of the attacks inside it and their Mana.

Bizzarre World was the second thing, being similar to a Mana Domain, except its effects were even more potent with its main purpose being neutralizing or significantly weakening spells within its range.

With the two domains operating together and overlapping, Celestina having narrowed the size of her Mana Domain to be as large as Bizzarre World's coverage in order to maximize their effects, the power each blue meteor carried was diminished, and the overall output of the attacks their defenses had to endure greatly decreased.

More skills and spells blocked the shooting stars' way, getting destroyed and passed in the attempt to stop the attacks' descent, managing to neutralize a large number of them. Though, it was just a drop in the ocean, not even 1% of the total meteors.

Already low on resources, Feng ran out of things that he could use fairly quickly, going through all of his items and Consumables with defensive capabilities, so he could only watch as the blue stars bulldozed through their defenses.

Celestina, on the other hand, never stopped casting skills and spells. After running out of defensive abilities, she simply switched to using Tier 5 Attack-type Skills and Spells that were applicable in her current position, trying to reduce the number of falling meteors as much as possible.

Her breathtaking face had already gone pale by this point, sweat covering her forehead as the Demon Goddess exerted all of her effort, Mana, and Concentration into resisting the Drago Busters. With how much Mana was required for the Tier 5 Skills and Spells, Celestina was getting close to her limit.

Feng gave her all of his remaining Mana Recovery Potions of various ranks, along with any Consumable that could be of help, including a Life Crystal, but her consumption far outpaced what she was recovering.

Once she no longer had any Tier 5 defenses or attacks to use, not having possessed all of her abilities to begin with since she was still only Tier 4, Celestina had to settle for Tier 4 Taboo Skills and Curses. She didn't manage to use up many of them, though, her Mana reserves dropping to nearly zero as she became unable to support the consumption brought on by using so many high-ranking skills and spells back to back.

Both helpless to do anything else, Feng and his demon maid could only wait to see the result of the full confrontation, not even able to see what was happening due to all the defenses they had put up and the constant explosions happening outside, so they had to rely on their other senses.

With her Mana Domain, Celestina could perceive what was happening much better than Feng, and knew that things were looking grim.

Everything she had tried to block the meteors' way with was getting broken through, barely resisting for a few seconds before crumbling. Soon, the shooting stars fell within twenty yards of them and crashed into Shield Cycle, the first of Revres Volu's skills.

Hundreds of small shields rotated and spun around, revolving at such a fast speed that they looked like an actual ball, with Feng and Celestina on the inside in the shields' center.

When the first blue meteor landed on one of the shields, it only left a small, barely noticeable, dent, and that shield had immediately spun to the other side with another one replacing it. There were three hundred small shields that Shield Cycle created and each could block attacks approaching Tier 6 power. As the stars only had power nearing the Tier 5 standard, they weren't able to do much to any of the shields, which constantly rotated and switched places.

Regardless of their toughness or number, though, it all hardly mattered when there were millions of attacks hitting them nonstop.

Shield Cycle stood strong for over a dozen seconds, but eventually, one of the small shields gave in, getting broken apart by the constant bombardment. Even with another one moving to its place, it created a hole in the defense, and soon, more holes began to appear.

After all, tens of thousands of the meteors were falling on the shields each second, so while they could all endure a large number of Drago Busters, each miniature shield having blocked over one hundred thousand blue stars, they could only withstand so much as so many attacks landed on them at the same time.

Upon some of the meteors passing through the gaps created within Shield Cycle, they smashed head-first into Revres Volu's Airstrike Shields. Although not covering as large of a range as the three hundred rotating shields as it was meant to block singular attacks coming from the front, the three green transparent shields were more durable and could stop much more powerful attacks.

The first shield could block attacks at the Tier 6 Basic standard, the second one slightly stronger attacks, and the third shield could withstand power nearing the Tier 6 Intermediate standard.

Naturally, the Airstrike Shields stopped the descent of many more meteors, blocking a large portion of the incoming attacks. However, since they could only block threats coming from one direction, Celestina having placed them directly above her and Feng some ten yards away, many more shooting stars that were flying in from the sides went right past them and crashed into the other defenses set up by Feng and the Demon Empress.

Quickly, everything was broken apart by the millions of attacks, and as more of the shields from Shield Cycle were destroyed, the number of meteors falling on the remaining lines of defense increased exponentially, adding additional pressure. The first Airstrike Shield withstood nearly four million blue stars, the second one six and a half million of them, and the final green shield blocked over ten million.

With nothing stopping them from above anymore, all of the meteors moving directly downards, along with the ones flying in from the sides after everything placed before them was reduced to smithereens, descended onto the sturdy-looking ball of green metal covered in numerous thick chains.

Feng's and Celestina's defensive means had blocked a large number of the blue meteors, Shield Cycle having warded off around thirty million, Airstrike Shields over twenty million, while the rest of the skills used had stopped over ten million. Overall, their efforts had resulted in around sixty-five million of the shooting stars getting blocked.

But that only left a small dent in the apocalyptic bombardment's attacks, not even amounting to 10% of the blue meteors that had been shot out from the eight and a half million Magic Arrays.

Nearly seven hundred and forty million shooting stars were still falling towards them, crashing into Chainball Shield.

Thankfully, the two remaining things protecting Feng and Celestina were Chainball Shield and Halo Shield, Revres Volu's strongest skills; two of the four things that the two of them were counting on to save their asses.

The former could tank a large amount of Tier 6 Intermediate level attacks, and even some at the Tier 6 Advanced standard, whereas the latter was supposed to be unbreakable by even attacks carrying Tier 6 Peak power.

Left with nothing to do as they awaited the result of the clash between the Legendary item's skill and hundreds of millions of attacks nearing Tier 5 power, Feng and Celestina could only stare up, through the transparent Halo Shield, at the metal ball enveloped in chains that was surrounding them, keeping the blue meteors away. As well as listen to the sounds of absolute mayhem coming from the outside.

Deafening explosions rang out in their ears as the shooting stars crashed into the green sphere, their horror-stricken eyes glued on the Chainball Shield above them without blinking, worrying that they'll see it start to crack any moment now.

However, it was only several minutes later, when their craned necks began to ache from looking up too much, that the two of them realized that this was going to take a while.

Regardless of how fast the stars were falling through the air, there was a limit to how many could reach their Chainball Shield each second as the Magic Arrays had been layered high into the air for several thousand yards and needed time to descend; while the Trial Creatures were also controlling them to not collide with each other in midair and create disorder, which decreased their speed even more.

Only around a few ten thousand meteors could land on the metal ball each second, which would normally be extremely impressive, but with there having been over eight hundred million of them...

Their heads began to hurt just thinking about it.

It should have been blatantly obvious from the start that this would not be a short endeavor, and, in fact, around half an hour had already passed since the Drago Busters had been activated, but with their defenses constantly getting broken through and everything that was happening with constant change, although the two of them did know how much time had gone by, it didn't completely register as it all seemed to have happened in the blink of an eye.

Only now was the truly immense scale of this attack fully dawning on them as they watched the Chainball Shield shake from the constant impacts, with nothing special happening.

Minutes passed and no changes occurred, the chain ball remaining strong in the face of this bombardment, whereas Feng and Celestina were starting to grow a bit bored.

It didn't help that Halo Shield had a small coverage, being meant to be used by only one person, with the golden halo-like shield floating above their heads and a delicate curtain made up of golden energy around them limiting their movements.

Remaining still like this without moving while being cramped together in the tight space quickly became very irritating for the Demon Goddess, not liking one bit that she was pressed up against her human contractor.

"Why did you have to choose God Mode?" Feeling more and more annoyed, Celestina looked slightly up at Feng who was nearly two heads taller than her, and grumbled a complaint, simply wanting to vent about their ridiculous predicament.

"WHAT?" Placing one hand next to his ear, Feng asked loudly after seeing the demon girl's mouth move but the sound of her voice be covered by the constant explosions happening, from which his ears were already ringing. After enduring those loud booming noises for such a long time, Feng could no longer hear anything Celestina was saying despite them being so close in proximity.

Seeing him like that, the Demon Empress just smiled sweetly, giving Feng the chills for some reason, and gestured for Feng to move his head closer down while she brought her hands together.

Following along, Feng lowered his ear to her as Celestina placed her hands over it and stood on her toes until her glossy lips almost touched his ear, taking in a deep breath before screaming at the top of her lungs "WHY THE FUCK DID YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE GOD MODE?"

"WHY ARE YOU YELLING IN MY EAR?" Reeling back after getting shouted at, Feng screamed back, having no idea why the demon girl was screaming at him when they were so close.

But this time it was Celestina's turn to not hear what Feng was yelling, the explosions muffling his voice.

The two continued to bicker back and forth without fully knowing what the other was saying for a few minutes until they realized that they could just communicate through their contract.

Hearing each other perfectly now, Celestina made her annoyance be completely known to Feng in all its argumentive glory. Feng naturally couldn't care less about that as he himself wasn't liking the situation too much either.

While he'd normally have no problem being pressed against the Demon Goddess's soft body in this tight space, Feng currently had all his armor fully on and could not feel a thing. This resulted in a different type of frustration for him, but the fact they were trapped inside and could not leave from the safety of Chainball Shield and Halo Shield until all the Draconic Spells faded, which was definitely going to take several hours, was very bad news as well.

Time passed, and in order to quell their boredom, Feng and Celestina at first bickered through their contract for a while, eventually settling down and resorting to just talking about things. Mainly, they were trying to calculate how long this would take to end, if they could escape from the confined space, and if not what to do in the meantime.

Around half an hour since meteors began bombarding Chainball Shield, a change finally occurred as the metal ball covered in chains disappeared.

Though, this was not the result of the Drago Busters exceeding its defensive threshold and it breaking, but of the skill's duration running out. The Chainball Shield skill could only last for an hour, and that time had passed ever since its activation.

Having tanked the bombardment of meteors for over half an hour, the dark green sphere managed to block over sixty million shooting stars, leaving around six hundred and eighty million to fall on Feng and the Demon Empress.

By their estimation, judging from the shield's condition and how much it was starting to fall apart, the two of them thought that it would be able to last for another half an hour or so, meaning Chainball Shield had the capability to protect them from over a hundred and twenty million blue meteors.

Now all that was left was Halo Shield, which wasn't all that bad considering that apart from being their strongest defensive means that was supposed to be unbreakable unless struck by an attack that carried the power of a Law within it, the skill also had no set duration; being able to remain in existence for as long as it wasn't canceled or the barrier got destroyed.

Or at least that's how it is supposed to function going by the skill's description and Feng's knowledge of Revres Volu, but he wasn't so sure if the golden halo had a limit to how much it could endure; since nothing in God's Domain is truly invincible or eternal.

Barriers, in particular, were not like creatures that would become immune to low-ranking damage after getting strong enough, and, no matter how weak, attacks would still decrease a magical barrier's energy by some amount. Usually, this amount was inconsequential, but this situation was very unique.

Sure Feng had seen the skill block several Tier 6 Peak attacks without getting damaged in the previous timeline, but those were spaced out between each other and didn't continue. While the meteors with near Tier 5 power were nothing for Halo Shield even in huge amounts, six hundred and eighty million of them were no laughing matter.

Moreover, Bizzarre World's duration had also ended, so the shooting stars were no longer suppressed as much; only being weakened by Celestina's Mana Domain.

The only thing they could do now was pray that Halo Shield's limit couldn't be surpassed by these hundreds of millions of attacks.

That development, however, didn't do anything to alleviate their boredom, only distracting the human and Great Demon for a bit.

In fact, the situation only got worse after Chainball Shield disappeared, as instead of the peaceful darkness in the metal ball through which barely any light passed, the see-through barrier from Halo Shield was now getting bombarded by the bright blue stars, causing their eyes to be assaulted out of nowhere after the former skill ended.

Nearly getting blinded, the two of them could only look down, not wanting to gaze at the blue lights and explosions around them.

With nothing to do, the two of them tried chatting for a bit, but didn't manage to talk about much due to how uncomfortable this situation and their positions were. By now, having stood still for an hour without moving and in such bad postures within the narrow space of the Halo Shield, they were starting to feel great discomfort in their bodies and a bit of restlessness as their legs nearly fell asleep and ached from not moving for so long.

"Let's change positions." Unable to endure this feeling during such boredom, Feng finally voiced out his desire to move as much as possible and get more comfortable within the little space they had.

It would have been one thing if they were doing something like focusing or training their minds while standing still in these positions, at least having something to occupy their minds and focus on. But now they were doing literally nothing except waiting as they listened to the endless explosions.

"Sounds good." Naturally having no complaints, Celestina agreed, and they tried slowly moving around a bit, the demon girl having trouble due to Feng occupying a lot of the space.

Although it was incredibly cumbersome and difficult to do as they moved their feet on the golden floor created by Halo Shield, at least they could move around a bit and shake their bodies and legs awake as they got into more comfortable positions.

"Ouch," While moving and looking for a comfortable spot for both of them to be in, Celestina felt something long and hard poke her back, causing her to complain as she told Feng "Be careful with how you move. Your sword's hilt is stabbing into me."

"That's not my sword." Leaning in closer from behind Celestina, Feng whispered intimately in the demon girl's ear while simultaneously speaking through the contract with a suggestive tone.

"WHAT?!" Her reaction was instantaneous, the Demon Empress screaming a question through their contract, wanting clarification on what Feng meant as the first lewd thought that appeared in Celestina's mind on what was actually poking her back made the demon girl's cheeks turn beet red.

"I'm joking." Rolling his eyes at her dramatic and surprisingly embarrassed reaction, Feng revealed the obvious in a matter-of-fact tone.

His armor was still on, so even if Feng's dick did get hard right now, which it naturally would not in this situation with nothing happening and there being no stimulation, Celestina would not be able to feel it. Moreover, no matter how powerful his little brother was, the Tier 4 Demon Empress would not feel any pain if he poked her.

Of course, it had been Abyssal Blade's hilt that had poked the Demon Goddess, as she had first suspected, but Feng found it weird that Celestina even fell for the joke since she would have felt it if he had taken off his armor, so the maid should have known that he was just fucking with her.

Unexpectedly, though, the Demon Empress's logical thinking failed her, and she had immediately thought of something perverted instead of seeing through Feng's words. This was a clear indicator that Feng's plans and methods were truly working, and his goal seemed more and more achievable.

As a response to his joke, Feng received an elbow to his abdomen.

---

On the outside, far from the scene straight out of an apocalypse where the world is ending, four hundred Fengs stood together and watched the chaos unfold where Feng and Celestina were hunkering down.

After beginning the bombardment on them, the three hundred and fifty replicas on the inside of the Magic Array immediately ran out, not being stopped by the magic barrier trapping their two enemies within. And soon, the magic barrier was shattered by the numerous Draconic Spells, so the other fifty who had been maintaining the Magic Array retreated from the area as well, all of them regrouping some distance away and watching over the situation.

Seeing the endless stream of blue shooting stars falling, and knowing that the mayhem was far from over as there were still many more descending, even the clones began to slightly regret using this combination move.

Now they couldn't do anything since approaching the two of them was no different from committing suicide due to the thousands of meteors crashing over there and causing huge explosions.

Gazing at the light show, the four hundred Trial Creatures could only rest up, still deciding that the move was optimal and effective as the trial taker was forced to defend himself and remain in a single spot while enduring the endless powerful attacks, which are bound to eventually break through the defenses set up by the Swordsman and eliminate him.

Furthermore, this was not the end, so there was no possibility of the challenger surviving.

---

An hour slowly passed, Feng growing bored enough to just stare at the system clock.

From his estimations, another one hundred and twenty million of the blue meteors had been blocked by Halo Shield, which still remained undisturbed even after all of this, with no visible damage. With the previous one hundred twenty million and this one, only around five hundred and sixty million remained to fall on them.

That was about another four and a half or so hours of this mind-numbing boredom.

Even speaking to Celestina had gotten boring at this point as they didn't have any more interesting topics to talk about, and since they couldn't play any games in this cramped space like how they previously did before to entertain themselves, while playing verbal games quickly became boring as well, both of them retreated to their own minds.

Questioning herself and her decisions, the Demon Empress wasn't sure if she was regretting signing that contract with Feng or not.

On one hand, she is in this situation because of him, and she may be better off dead.

On the other, the fact that he was able to get her into this situation and remain alive, even if it was through her help, was amazing; certainly being proof of his capabilities and that he may be able to accomplish what he had promised her.

Dwelling on the matter grew dull, unable to come to an answer that the latter would normally be the obvious choice due to Feng's nasty and perverted personality.

There was also the fact that he may be one of those abominations, but Celestina would rather not think about such a thing when she didn't know for sure.

After an hour, she nearly fell asleep, growing too bored of speaking to Feng and interacting with him, or even telling him off for occasionally getting handsy and sexually harassing her in this small space; using the excuse that he was just trying to move around, and that it was too cramped.

His inappropriate touches even became somewhat welcomed in her mind for some inexplicable reason, as it at least allowed her to feel something other than the discomfort brought about by not being able to move, and it didn't make her as bored.

Feng naturally took full advantage of the situation to whittle away at the Demon Empress's reservations, being the perfect opportunity to make her more accustomed to the actions, even if he eventually grew bored of it and didn't enjoy the feeling of having his hand on Celestina's plump backside and squeezing slightly as much as before.

Though, he didn't dare go any further for now lest he pushed too far and caused the Demon Goddess to run out of patience.

Despite doing nothing and just messing around while bored, however, there were two major benefits for Feng in this whole ordeal while stuck here and waiting for the shooting stars to stop falling.

The first was that during this time, he and Celestina have been resting. The break allowed them to recover most of their Stamina, a large portion of their Concentration, and the Demon Goddess had most of her Mana restored. Normally they wouldn't be able to recover so much even after spending more than one and a half hours doing nothing, but thanks to Feng's prepared resources, they had almost made a full recovery during such a short amount of time.

Even more joyously, Feng had finally recovered from his Heavily Weakened state.

Using Threefold Berserk with Blade Liberation activated would normally result in him entering a Heavily Weakened state for three days. Previously, due to Feng's powerful Physique and his current Blade Liberation still being just a Tier 1 Legacy Skill, the duration was shortened to less than two days, and after absorbing the Savitarian Carnation Bloodline and improving it with Primal Infusion, the duration of all debuffs and negative status effects on him being decreased by 90%, his Heavily Weakened state after Threefold Berserk ended would only last for around nine hours; whereas for Twofold Berserk it would only last for around ten minutes.

But since Feng had been downing hundreds of Consumables for recovery during the fight with the Tier 5 Trial Creature and after it, the duration of his Heavily Weakened state was cut down even further, particularly thanks to the Life Crystals which served to hasten one's recovery from a Weakened state.

Thus, in just around four to five hours, Feng was back to his peak state and would no longer be a helpless target for the Trial Creatures that needed to be protected by Celestina. This time off had allowed Feng to be battle-ready once more.

The second thing that he benefited from while trapped here with the Demon Empress is that, aside from bridging the gap and raising the limits of what she deemed acceptable as their relationship progressed and Feng worked on seducing her, Celestina's Sexual Attraction towards him was significantly rising.

It had already increased by a stupendous amount during the Second Phase from their previous incident, Celestina having apparently been deeply influenced by him fingering her as Eros Vision had shown Feng that her Sexual Attraction had jumped from 17% to 38%; while getting stuck in this cramped space with Feng, breathing in his scent and presence as an Advanced Master Seducer as his hands went across her body increased it even further.

After spending an hour in this situation, the Demon Empress's Sexual Attraction to Feng had risen by another 11%, having reached 49%.

Farming more attraction points like this was unfortunately impossible as unless they spent literal days in here without being able to leave, Celestina's Sexual Attraction wouldn't cross the 50% threshold from just this.

Nonetheless, it brought Feng much closer to his goal very quickly, so it was a welcome surprise that Feng should be thanking the Trial Creatures for.

Additionally, the hours spent in here had allowed Feng's skill to become usable again, all of them having come off from their cooldowns thanks to the time they had been running from the clones plus the time they had been trapped by the Drago Busters, along with the time in between.

Even Feng's Power of Darknesses, one from the Bible of Darkness and the other being his bestowed skill, which he had both used up during his fight in the First Phase, with the two Berserk Skills having a long cooldown of five hours, could now be activated once again.

Looking at all his skills being available, safe for Soulharvest Synergy which had a five-day cooldown, however, Feng gradually realized something, a thought that filled him with dread appearing in his mind.

"We have to get out of here." His voice now a bit terrified, Feng tried to stand up straight from his position, having previously bent his legs in order to lean against the golden barrier of Halo Shield and enter a semi-sitting posture.

"No shit." Unbothered by the human's exclamation, Celestina remained in her position, the Demon Goddess's eyes staying closed as she dozed off, leaning slightly on Feng and slightly on the barrier while her large buttocks rested on his leg; occasionally getting felt up by the bastard.

"It's already been over an hour. Phantom Stride's cooldown must have long since ended, and the Trial Creatures could do this again at any time." Feng revealed what he had suddenly come to realize, a fact that should have immediately occurred to him a long time ago, but one he had failed to remember.

Hearing Feng say so, the Demon Empress's eyes shot open as she stood up as well, the horrifying realization that this could simply be the first wave of Drago Busters similarly rattling her mind.

Up till now, they were both thinking and under some kind of misconception that as long as they managed to make it through this bombardment caused by eight and a half Tier 4 Draconic Spells, everything would be fine. They'd be able to get out of here and fight off the clones.

But that seemed to have only been wishful thinking the two of them had been pacifying themselves with all this time after witnessing such a stupidly huge attack be performed by a few hundred Tier 1 creatures.

In reality, this was only the beginning.

Although Drago Buster had a cooldown of half a day, Phantom Stride's was only an hour, and the skill from his Boots of Slaughter could be used immediately after with no problems as the doppelgangers created by Phantom Stride could get and activate whatever skill the user designated regardless of the user's own condition.

Hence, during the time Feng and Celestina had been stuck under the protection of their skills, the Trial Creatures' Phantom Strides had all come off cooldown, and the duplicates could repeat what they had previously done to summon eight and a half million Drago Busters once more.

It had now become irrelevant whether or not Halo Shield could block the remaining over five hundred million meteors, as regardless of that, it would most likely eventually shatter under the bombardment of billions upon billions of Draconic Spells that the clones could repeatedly throw at them every hour without Feng and the Demon Empress being able to do anything about it or stop them in any way.

Either the skill would break, or the two individuals trapped inside it would get bored to death first.

Their only choice was to get out of here before one of those two occurred.

"How are we going to escape though?" Celestina understood the situation, but she could not think of how to achieve the feat under the continuous nonstop bombardment of shooting stars.

Leaving Halo Shield would just be seeking death when they were getting bombarded by the Draconic Spells.

Teleportating away was also impossible as even without the Magic Array blocking their way or restricting spatial abilities, the outside space of their little safe haven had already been reduced to nothingness, turning into an empty void for several hundred yards after getting enveloped in the countless explosions from millions of Drago Busters.

With such an environment while already under the World Summit Trial's heavy suppression, along with countless explosions constantly disturbing the space around them even further and making the Mana turbulent, trying to teleport away was too risky as it could result in them maybe even teleporting right into the descending meteors; or, in the worst case scenarios, either become stuck across space and time, or get bisected between two points.

"I'll just have to travel through the void." By using Void Walk, Feng could enter the void and go through it, albeit most of the outside had turned into the void already, it was still safer this way than simply going outside into the stream of shooting stars.

Unlike before, the Trial Creatures won't be there to immediately ambush him, and even if they try something while Celestina isn't around, Feng was no longer in a Heavily Weakened state, so the clones won't be able to kill him so easily.

"Be careful." She, too, knew that this was the only way they could escape out of here, so Celestina agreed with a nod and warned Feng, not knowing whether he'd be able to handle getting besieged by the duplicates if suddenly ambushed.

Returning the Demon Empress to the Spectral Animacell, Feng activated Imperial Ascendance and Mysticsteel Body, before using Void Walk. The moment he entered the void, Feng immediately used Fortress as well, wanting to first see the situation and if he'd need to return to the safety of Halo Shield.

Countless aftershocks and explosions were reaching into the void from the descending meteors as well, but it wasn't as bad as what was happening right next to the golden barrier of Halo Shield, and thanks to the effects of Fortress, Feng remained unharmed.

Looking around, Feng found the direction that seemed the least dangerous and flew at a high speed, his attributes getting further boosted by the Draconic-Voidling Bloodline while in the void.

After he started moving, the damage nullification from Fortress disappeared, and the force from the explosions as the blue meteors smashed into the golden barrier reached him, doing various amounts of damage. With his increased defense and distancing himself from the epicenter of it all, though, he was only minimally hurt, quickly escaping the area, Feng endured the blows while dodging any stray shooting stars that made it into the void and got near him.

Although it didn't take him long to get away, he barely made it out alive from the dangerous area, remaining on only 20% of his HP.

Activating Ultimate Blood Flow, Feng flew through the void as he tried to get as far away as possible from the Drago Busters, wondering where exactly he was supposed to go. But suddenly, a figure covered in blood armor appeared next to him and slashed a pitch-black sword at Feng.

Reacting to the threat before him, Feng hastily unsheated the Pandemonium Lashblade and blocked the Trial Creature's attack in time despite its sneak attempt by entering the void next to him and instantly attacking.

More Fengs started appearing, all of them with Imperial Ascendance activated as well, the Berserk Skills' cooldowns having ended similarly to Feng's with all the duplicates now being in their peak condition.

Not planning to stay and get surrounded since he was evenly matched with each of them, Feng used Void Walk to exit the void and return to the overworld.

Hundreds of Trial Creatures creating an encirclement around where he had exited greeted Feng, and the moment he appeared, all of them sprang into action. But before any of the replicas or their attacks could reach him, Feng retrieved the Fragmented Legendary orb holding Celestina's soul and called out the Demon Empress, passing her the Demon Sword and letting her loose on the clones.

As she moved to block the attacks sent at them, the Pandemonium Lashblade split apart, turning into its chain sword mode and destroying all the incoming attacks.

Having learned their lesson from before, the Trial Creatures immediately targeted Celestina, wishing to get rid of her before she could gather her bearings and use powerful spells to protect Feng and ward them off. Three Fengs appeared behind the demon girl while she was blocking the attacks coming at them, stabbing at her back with Worldly Purification.

However, what the Trial Creatures failed to realize is that this was no longer the same situation as before, as not only did Feng not need to be protected anymore, but he was about to become an active threat for the clones.

Taking out and equipping another Fragmented Legendary One-handed Sword, Feng sent slashes at the three duplicates' arms using Chop and Double Chop the moment he sensed them appear.

His attacks interrupted the duplicates, though not just because he had stabbed into their arms.

When he equipped another sword, the system attempted to copy it to the Trial Creatures since any additional equipment that he equipped would automatically be replicated by the trial, preventing challengers from entering the trial with weak equipment before switching it out for their real gear once the trial commenced and the Trial Creature was created. This system interference resulted in the clones freezing for a split second.

However, as they all still had both of their swords, the trial got slightly bugged and first had to determine which of the weapons was stronger and more suitable for the fight, and whether to replace it or not, which prolonged the replicas' pause.

Taking full advantage of the opportunity while the system was bugged, Feng and Celestina ruthlessly attacked the three Trial Creatures next to them, the Demon Empress smashing two Black Flashes into the faces of two of them whereas Feng slashed forward at the last one with Thundering Flash and Thunder Flame Explosion, fusing the skills and sending the clone flying downwards as he did critical damage to it.

The momentary freeze from the system lasted less than a second, but it was enough for the two of them to strike, and as the Trial Creatures were starting to regain control over their bodies, Celestina's extended Pandemonium Lashblade sliced the heavily injured clone's head in half, finishing it off.

Seeing three of their comrades get immediately killed in a single moment due to the system, the Fengs became pissed, lashing out at the trial takers with attacks as they all simultaneously activated Nine Dragons Slash and Mysticsteel Dualblades.

Over nine thousand flying swords appeared around them and flew at Feng and Celestina, their tips pointed to the front in an attempt to skewer the two of them. Facing such a large number of weapons would be problematic, especially for Feng as each of them carried 100% of his strength or more, even if not to the full amount.

However, they remained calm in the face of the flying swords, Feng activating his own Nine Dragons Slash and Mysticsteel Dualblades, along with taking out five Fragmented Legendary swords to control with Blade Dance, adding twenty-eight flying swords to defend with, whereas Celestina cast a Tier 5 Defensive Skill and Spell on him that moved along with the target and defended him even as Feng flew around.

Being defended by the Demon Empress's abilities, Feng controlled the over two dozen flying swords to block the incoming nine thousand. Although his paled in amount when it came to quantity, and they all had the same power apart from the five controlled with Blade Dance, it was quite enough for Feng.

A galaxy of stars appeared around Feng and Celestina, covering over fifty yards and stopping anything from approaching. The over nine thousand flying swords collided with the Sword's Orbit Feng was executing using his twenty-eight swords at the standard of a Silver Combat Technique, all of them getting blocked.

With just those three skills and a Combat Technique, Feng had brought a stop to the nine thousand flying swords, simultaneously blocking their path and the Trial Creatures'.

The clones naturally tried breaking through his Sword's Orbit, attacking with skills and Combat Techniques, but failed as Feng's execution of the Silver ranked Sword's Orbit was too good, the duplicates only managing to disturb it a bit and allow some of them and a few swords to pass through.

Executing four hundred Sword's Orbits as well, the Trial Creatures attempted to brute-force through the Combat Technique, but even when the galaxy of stars surrounding Feng was clashing with other galaxies from all sides, it still stood strong.

In fact, the clones were getting attacked by Celestina, who either threw out attacks from the inside that perfectly integrated with Feng's Sword's Orbit to either strengthen its defenses or pass through to smash against the replicas' replicas of his Sword's Orbit, and naturally striking at them as well, or simply cast spells on the outside that targeted the Trial Creatures.

Somehow getting overpowered, the Fengs were forced to abandon their plan of breaking through the galaxy of stars, all nearly four hundred of them passing through and appearing inside using either Instant Strike or Ethereal Blitz to attack Feng and his demon maid.

The two parties clashed, Celestina being the main tank and damage dealer on one side as she beat up the Trial Creatures while Feng supported her, making sure none of the clones sneak attacked her, and attacked some of the other Trial Creatures that she injured or others to relieve the pressure on her a bit; even activating Black Emperor to gather Auras of Death and increase his strength as he fought.

Meanwhile, the Trial Creatures were attacking with all their might, knowing that they had to eliminate Feng right here and now, otherwise they would just continue losing more of their forces and eventually get wiped out.

However, Celestina was too strong and needed a lot of effort for them to whittle down, and whenever they did find an opportunity to strike, Feng would interfere, stopping all their attempts at getting rid of the Demon Goddess. Moreover, he could still blow up their souls from the inside if given enough time, so he was also a huge threat they needed to get rid of.

Killing Feng off was not doable as well, though, since he possessed the same strength and survivability as them, so without absolute force, it wasn't possible to quickly take him down. While gathering that absolute force would be easy enough for the nearly four hundred Trial Creatures, Celestina stood in their way as both an attacker and a defender as she continuously cast Tier 4 and Tier 5 Defensive Spells on him.

They were an unbeatable duo for the clones when working together, and they could just barely suppress them with the few hundred flying swords that had managed to get through Feng's Sword's Orbit.

Once all of their Nine Dragons Slashes ended, including Feng's, the Trial Creatures no longer had the advantage, and they were quickly getting killed by Feng's and Celestina's combined power; the Demon Empress doing most of the killing while Feng took down a few.

Dozens of Trial Creatures died within a few minutes, and seeing that only around three hundred and thirty of them remained, the clones knew they had to do something, resorting to their last ditch effort.

Suddenly, the replicas started flying away in droves, creating some distance between themselves and the two challengers.

Thinking that they were going to try using Phantom Stride and a stupendous amount of Drago Busters again, Feng and Celestina immediately flew after them. But unlike before, not all of them retreated, and they didn't go down to the ground.

Exactly three hundred of the Trial Creatures flew off some few hundred yards away and gathered together, while the other thirty-something stayed behind to stop Feng and the demon girl from following after them.

Feng thought that they were planning on using some combination of attacks in an attempt to overwhelm the two of them, but he discarded those speculations upon seeing the next scene. The blood armor covering their bodies retreated slightly, now only staying on their torsos and arms, while the three hundred Fengs split up into pairs that hovered close together and held both hands.

As he began questioning what they were up to, Feng witnessed the pairs of Trial Creatures' bodies move weirdly and merge, all of them fusing together to create one hundred and fifty separate Fengs. A bit stunned, Feng sensed that their auras had increased by a considerable amount, clearly stronger than before.

Since the Eyes of Truth did not work on them, Feng used Eros Vision, revealing that all of the one hundred and fifty clones were Tier 2.

While Feng was processing that information, the Tier 2 clones did not stop, immediately moving as three of them each gathered together, forming fifty separate groups and holding hands.

Being more aware of what was happening since she was the one who created the World Summit Trial, Celestina immediately rushed forward, dashing to interrupt the Trial Creatures from merging any further while cursing in her mind that this wasn't how that function was supposed to be used.

In her way stood the thirty-two clones who didn't plan on letting her get past them, using whatever ability they had to slow down the Demon Empress. Despite her sending out multiple attacks to blow away the duplicates, they withstood and simply focused on keeping her at bay.

If they were trying to kill her, Celestina wouldn't have any trouble smashing the thirty of them apart, but when they were just restricting her movements and slowing her down instead, the Demon Goddess could not critically injure any of them while rushing forward, which made it much harder to eliminate or break through the Trial Creatures.

When the group of Fengs holding each other's hands merged again into fifty Tier 3 clones, Feng snapped back to reality and moved as well, following Celestina's lead as he tried to interrupt them from fusing to create even stronger Trial Creatures.

However, just five of the clones separating from the group barring the Demon Empress from moving forward, and getting in his way, was enough to stop Feng, and he even had to defend himself against the replicas as they spared no effort to do him in right then, using the opportunity while Celestina wasn't nearby.

Of course, Feng could not be killed so easily, and he fought back against the Trial Creatures, but he could not get past them, only being able to watch as the fifty Tier 3 Fengs got into groups of five and held hands.

Celestina was making her way as she paved a path through the clones, sending many of them flying and doing huge amounts of damage, but not managing to kill any as she rushed through. When she saw that the Trial Creatures had fused into ten Tier 4 Fengs, and that those clones were moving towards each other, the Demon Empress even stopped trying to block any of the attacks, simply rushing forward and choosing to receive all the blows.

Feng saw how far the duplicates were getting and didn't hesitate anymore to use Divine Steps, creating numerous doppelgangers and switching places with the ones closest to the circle of Tier 4 Trial Creatures, dashing towards them.

Though, Feng came to the striking realization that he couldn't actually do anything to stop ten Tier 4 versions of himself from doing something if they really wanted to, one of the Trial Creatures throwing an incredibly powerful Thundering Flash at him while two others sent Earth Splitters his way.

Switching to another doppelganger that was close to the circle of ten Tier 4 clones, Feng avoided the attacks and tried to at least slow down their fusion, but one of them appeared behind him with Instant Strike while he was mid-activation of Thundering Flash, slashing at his back and forcing Feng to switch to a doppelganger further away in order to not get killed.

The Tier 4 duplicate used Ethereal Blitz to go back to the circle of Fengs, all of them holding hands and beginning to merge without him being able to stop them.

Despite doing her best to escape the blockade formed by the twenty-seven Fengs, even using Tier 5 Movement Skills and tanking their hits without bothering to defend herself, Celestina couldn't break through quickly enough, at some point several of the Trial Creatures resorted to tanking her hits as well, enduring the effects of her skills, and even body slamming her so that the Demon Goddess could not get away.

Although she tried killing those with her skills and Black Flash, they'd usually bail in time with Divine Steps, not managing to kill a single one as they slowed her down.

By the time she finally broke out, the fusion of the Tier 4 Fengs had already ended.

Flying towards the singular Feng that floated where three hundred Tier 1 clones had just been flying around, Celestina delivered a merciless cut towards its throat, wishing to kill the Trial Creature before it could adapt.

But as blood-red armor covered its body, the Tier 5 version of her master drew its sword and blocked her slash. Reeling from the powerful force behind the Demon Empress's attack, the replica was forced back by a yard.
