Through the rough, stormy seas, hundreds of ships could be seen cutting across the waves, sailing relentlessly toward Uzumaki Island.
Finally, the fleet reached the shore. One after another, thousands of shinobi disembarked, swiftly taking control of the beach with military precision.
"Faster! We don't have all day!" the Raikage barked, his voice booming like thunder. "We still need to push through the forest and launch the assault on the Uzumaki Clan!"
At his command, the ninja hurried to complete their tasks. It was decided — a few hundred would stay behind to guard the ships, while the main force advanced inland to strike at the heart of the Uzumaki stronghold.
"Maybe they don't even know we're here," muttered a Chūnin from the Hidden Mist Village.
"They know," another Chūnin snapped back grimly. "The Uzumaki have spies. They've been watching us."
The massive army of shinobi plunged into the dense forest — but they all knew the truth. The Uzumaki Clan weren't simple warriors. Masters of sealing techniques, experts in jutsu — they wouldn't just sit and wait for death to knock on their door.
A ninja from the Hidden Sound Village moved carelessly.Suddenly, strange triangular symbols blazed under his foot — a seal, triggered by his own step. The ground exploded violently, annihilating everything within a thirty-meter radius.
"Be careful!" Onoki of Iwagakure shouted. "The Uzumaki have trapped the entire forest. Azora! Send forward our best to detect and disarm their traps!"
Precautions were taken, but it wasn't enough. In the next few hours, dozens more traps detonated, claiming the lives of countless shinobi.Forced to adapt, the coalition spread out, widening the distance between each ninja to minimize the casualties.
Azora, leading a unit of a hundred from the Hidden Stone, was ordered to scout ahead. But what awaited them wasn't an empty path — it was an ambush.
Two hundred Uzumaki ninjas stood in their way, silent and unyielding.
Both sides glared at each other, tension thick as blood. One wrong move would ignite the battle.
"The Jōnin will concentrate the attack at one point and break the encirclement," Azora ordered coldly. "The rest of you, hold your ground. Buy them time. I'll face their strongest myself."
No hesitation. The Iwa shinobi obeyed.
The Jōnin lunged forward, aiming to shatter the Uzumaki's formation.Meanwhile, Azora stayed behind — eyes locked on the enemy commander.
Among the Uzumaki, one ninja stood out — surely the commander. In a blur of motion, he slaughtered Iwa Chūnin after Chūnin, overwhelming even the Jōnin with his jutsu and kunai mastery.
Azora watched carefully. When the Uzumaki ninja closed in to deliver a killing blow to one of her Jōnin, she reacted — hurling a kunai.
The enemy was forced to deflect, sparing the Iwa ninja's life for a heartbeat longer.
"So you're the one leading this trap," Azora said, her voice low. "Not a bad strategy."
"We have nothing to discuss," the Uzumaki warrior spat back. "You all die here."
With swift hand seals, he unleashed a massive fireball roaring toward her.
Azora, built for speed, could easily dodge — but the soldiers behind her couldn't.There was no choice.
Slamming her palms into the earth, she roared,"Water Release: Rising Wave!"
A colossal surge of water erupted, clashing against the inferno. The two techniques collided in an explosion of steam, swallowing the battlefield in a dense fog.
Azora leapt into the trees, launching kunai at the Uzumaki — but he evaded with ease.
"Tch... Pointless," she muttered.
Forming new seals, she called out:"Water Release: Water Serpents!"
Four massive serpents of pure water sprang forth, slithering and snapping toward their prey.
The Uzumaki tried to respond with a jutsu, but he was too slow — forced to dodge frantically. One serpent lashed out, tearing into his leg, blood gushing onto the forest floor.
Azora watched coldly."You Uzumaki... your sealing arts are unparalleled. Even our best can't match you.But after this war... that will change."
The Uzumaki said nothing.
Azora continued, her voice slicing through the mist."Why don't you use your sealing techniques? Are they too slow to activate in battle?Or... are you simply outmatched?"
The Uzumaki tried to form seals — but the water serpents battered him again, breaking his concentration.
"Enough talking," Azora hissed. "This ends now!"
Two of the serpents burrowed underground while the others kept attacking.
The Uzumaki fought back desperately, fending off the visible threats — but then, without warning, one serpent erupted from below, slamming into him.
Azora moved in for the kill, kunai flashing in her hand.
The Uzumaki barely blocked — but he was already surrounded.
The serpents closed in.
In an instant, they tore him apart — ripping off limbs, crushing bone, splattering blood across the broken earth.
The ninja commander fell, broken and dying, his crimson blood staining the soil of his ancestral home.
The Iwa Jōnin managed to break the encirclement, though at terrible cost — bloodied, battered, and mourning their dead.
With their leader slain, the Uzumaki fighters' spirit broke. They fell, one by one, to Azora's merciless assault and the unrelenting Jōnin.
Though the ambush had been unexpected, this bloody battle marked the first bitter victory in the brutal war against the Uzumaki Clan.
