A Week Later.
Location: Iwagakure.
Inside the Tsuchikage Mansion, down one of its many winding corridors, a figure moved quickly, footsteps echoing sharply. Turning a corner, the person ascended a long flight of stairs, finally reaching the top floor.
With a few more determined steps, she stood before a grand door. After knocking softly, a voice from within permitted her entry.
Slowly, Nahi pushed open the door.
Before her stood a man who appeared to be in his twenties, with short brown hair, deep brown eyes, and a tall, commanding figure. He wore gray and black shinobi garb, over which was draped a green, red, and yellow cloak. Thick bandages wrapped his entire ribcage.
"Tsuchikage-sama, I have brought the reports," Nahi said, her voice tense, her posture rigid.
"Place them on my desk," Arano replied calmly.
After setting the documents down, Nahi remained rooted to the spot, gazing intently at the Tsuchikage.
"Is there something else you wish to say, Nahi?" Arano asked, glancing up.
"Y-Yes, Lord Tsuchikage... Han and his team have returned from their mission. They request permission to deliver their report to you personally," Nahi informed him.
"Send them in," Arano commanded with a nod.
Receiving her orders, Nahi swiftly exited the room and made her way to the waiting area where Han's team awaited. Moments later, she guided them into the Tsuchikage's office.
As soon as Nahi left, she returned once more.
"Tsuchikage-sama, Han's team has arrived," she announced.
"Good work," Arano responded with a brief nod.
"Lord Tsuchikage, we have returned from our mission and request to deliver our report directly to you," Han said, stepping forward.
"Proceed," Arano commanded.
"We regret to inform you, Lord Tsuchikage, that we failed to complete our mission," Han reported solemnly.
"Why could one of Iwa's elite teams not accomplish their mission?" Arano asked, his gaze sharp.
"Sesaki, the traitor, fled our borders and entered the Land of Waterfalls. We pursued him, but due to strict orders not to expose ourselves, we lost track. He is likely hiding within a city," Han explained.
"It cannot be helped. Your orders were clear—do not be discovered. You are dismissed. Rest well, all of you," Arano said with rare kindness.
Han, Azora, and Yusu were stunned. They had expected punishment, but instead found forgiveness. Relieved, they bowed and departed.
As Han's team exited the office -
"Nahi," called Arano.
"Yes, Lord Tsuchikage," she replied, straightening.
"Arrange a meeting with Elder Onoki today," Arano ordered.
"At once!" Nahi said briskly.
Land of Waterfalls (Past)
Two masked figures faced a lone shinobi — Sesaki, the rogue from Iwagakure.
The masked ones advanced cautiously, and when they were close enough, quiet negotiations began.
Time passed -
"The leader is very interested in the knowledge you possess," one masked figure said.
After a moment's hesitation, Sesaki agreed, and the two masked strangers left, now with a new companion.
Land of Fire - Konohagakure
Inside the Hokage Residence, a crucial meeting took place. Present were four of the village's most influential figures.
Around a large table sat the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, alongside elders Danzō Shimura, Homura Mitokado, and Koharu Utatane.
Meeting Discussion:
"I have summoned you regarding the recent events during the Chūnin Exams," Hiruzen began.
"As you know, we successfully dominated the Exams. This has solidified our reputation as the strongest nation. Other villages will continue to perceive Konoha as unmatched. This victory not only displays our strength but ensures the foundation for lasting peace."
"I heard the Tsuchikage and Raikage clashed during the exams. Why didn't you seize the opportunity to eliminate them both?" Danzō demanded.
"Are you insane? Doing so would have meant war against both Iwa and Kumo," Hiruzen answered sharply.
"You had a golden chance! You were simply too afraid to act," Danzō sneered.
"Hiruzen is right," Homura said seriously. "Warring two Great Nations simultaneously would destroy us."
"I agree," Koharu added. "At this moment, we lack the strength to battle two elemental nations and prevail."
"You're all cowards. Fate handed you victory on a silver platter and you threw it away!" Danzō spat.
"Enough, Danzō. I have no patience for your accusations today. We have more pressing matters," Hiruzen interrupted.
"Yes, let us move forward," Homura urged. "First, the matter of our borders. Shall we reinforce them? We've cut back border patrols heavily since the Second Great Ninja War, but now that we've recovered somewhat, it's time to bolster our defenses."
"Agreed," said Koharu. "Homura, take charge of organizing this."
"Next," Hiruzen continued, "the Ninja Academy reports a 70% rise in enrollment. Promising talents have already been identified among the new students."
"Excellent. This is precisely what the village needs," Hiruzen nodded in satisfaction.
"There is another matter," Koharu said grimly. "The kunoichi from Iwa remains missing."
"Yes. She is the reason the Tsuchikage and Raikage quarreled. Any new leads?"
"None," Hiruzen replied. "Iwa declared her a missing-nin, and thus, we ceased our pursuit."
Back in Iwagakure
Inside a peaceful park:
"When we're stronger, we'll search for Mata ourselves," Asato promised firmly to Togi.
"I know... but the more time passes, the slimmer our chances become," Togi said sadly.
"Many skilled ninja have already searched and found nothing. That's why our only hope is to grow stronger and continue the search, even if the odds are against us," Asato declared.
"I believe Mata is still alive!" Togi said stubbornly.
"You know the village has already declared her dead," Asato said, his voice heavy.
Upon hearing those words, Togi ran away from his friend without a word.

rdm thing from wiki :
The Five Great Shinobi Countries are the world's five largest countries and the main focus of the Naruto series. These countries are led by governmental leaders known as daimyō, who are in charge of ruling their individual nations solely through a monarch-like government. These countries are divided equally on an unknown continent to create balance in the Shinobi world. They are the Land of Earth in the Northwest, the Land of Lightning in the Northeast, the Land of Water in the East, the Land of Wind in the Southwest, and the Land of Fire in the centre. The countries are named after the dominant chakra nature of each of the areas.
These superpowers are the major players in the politics and trade between the shinobi nations. They are the most powerful of all nations and each has an extremely powerful shinobi village. The Land of Earth has Iwagakure, the Land of Lightning has Kumogakure, the Land of Water has Kirigakure, the Land of Wind has Sunagakure, and the Land of Fire has Konohagakure. These five villages are the only ones to have a Kage as the village head.
Although the Five Great Shinobi Countries are equal enough in power and military strength to create a fairly stable balance of power, the Land of Fire is considered the most powerful and influential. Similarly, the Land of Fire's shinobi village, Konohagakure, is considered the most powerful of all shinobi villages and Konoha's Hokage has been considered to be the pinnacle of the shinobi world.
The five countries were allied together, along with the samurai of the Land of Iron, to stop Tobi's Eye of the Moon Plan in the Fourth Shinobi World War. After the war, as shown with Naruto as the Seventh Hokage, it appears that the five countries continued to have maintained a strong form of prosperous peace and fellowship between one another with both the present and retired Kage exemplifying them during their meeting.
Following the aftermath of the Fourth Shinobi World War, the Five Great Shinobi Countries were able to finally put aside their differences and remain great allies, able to discuss anything without prejudice clouding their judgement, forming the Shinobi Union.
