I kept staring at my status window understanding the basics behind each stat and matching them with the knowledge I already have and understand.
The class which I was assigned to was not that confusing. As a person from modern world, having knowledge from various fantasy novels as well as from the games I was so fond of. I was very much aware of the word necromancer and knew what that meant.
Necromancer was someone who could communicate with the dead, use various powerful curses, practise black magic and command a army of skeletons that would follow any order given by the necromancer without any hesitation.
But me...I had transmigrated into a tree a which was still growing. Could I (a plant) possibly use this legendary necromancer class to its full extent?
I know necromancers control the beings that they killed but what can I even kill. I couldn't even move a millimeter, thinking of moving an inch would only be possible in a dream.
INCREASE MOBILITY STAT TO BE ABLE TO MOVE.....
The mechanical voice with its smartass remarks interrupted my thoughts. I already could figure out from the words that were written beside my mobility stat that I needed to increase it in order to be able to move.
But I was a tree and it bummed me. I was the master of death but at what cost. I couldn't find happiness in what I had.
I wanted to know whether there were other unlucky people that transmigrated into beings other than human. Or the existence of a human being was not possible in this world.
I didnt even know whether this world was inhabited by a species with similar physique and intellect as a human being.
ONLY MAGICAL BEASTS INHABIT THIS PLANET....
The mechanical voice sounded again. This time the information it provided was shocking. This world was entirely inhabitated by beasts only capable of killing and the souls transmigrated from earth were the only beings able to think?

It meant that there were beasts that were able to think and use their intellect to some degree. Some beasts eventually gain the ability to decide if something was good or bad for them and act accordingly I thought.

That means we are safe for some time. Stronger beasts tend to reside within their own area and rarely venture out of their own marked territory. Those with some intellect and strength would probably not hunt some low levelled creatures.
My mind drifted away after making sure that no immediate threat was looming over my head. And my attention was allured by the question " Was I only the unlucky one? "

Cussing relieved me a little bit. The fucking mechanical voice assessed me to be lucky but How was being a tree lucky ? I don't remember myseld being this unlucky. Among 100k people only I became a tree.
Ressuring myself for some time I shifted my attention to other matters. If I was the only one that transmigrated into a tree then does that mean only I possess the necromancer class?

So I was stuck with such an op class in this planet where only magical beasts resides but with a plant body. I cussed so many times. I am sure that I had never cussed so much in my entire 22 years of life.
I need to grow stronger... this thought stuck to me for a while. This thought had never once left my mind. But even if I had learned ways of getting stronger I had no way of working on it. So I decided to look at my status window again.

Something peculiar that was going on with the status window attracted my attention. My exp bar was growing without me doing anything. I tried to remember if I did something but it was pointless as I knew I did nothing but stay in a place like a plant did and was just making myself familiar with this planet. I was confused.
THE USER IS A TREE.....
THE EXP GAIN IS FROM TAKING IN MINERALS FROM THE PLANET AS WELL AS THROUGH PHOTOSYNTHESIS....
Why I felt disdain from the last statement given by the mechanical voice ? Was it a fact that a plant could absorb energy particulates from this planet?
Interaction with the mechanical voice made me focus on the roots and surely I could feel something magical flowing through my roots and going all over my body. It must be the energy particulates.
After a round of experimentation, I discovered the more I focused on my roots, the amount of energy particulates entering my body increased. And as soon as I took my focus off the amount decreased.
Normally i could intake about 0.9 exp points per hour but on my focused state i could take about 1.4 exp points per hour.
It was not a large increase but the gradual accumulation could have a huge effect on me a lot as 0.9 per hour intake could take about 11 hours to accumulate 10 exp points but 1.4 per hour means 8 hours of focused state to accumulate 10 exp points. I could level up in 8 hours if I focused on absorbing the energy particulates.
This was a huge discovery for me who did not have a way to gather strength. I could barely move my body and killing something to gain exp points and then level up. It was a unattainable dream.
But now I had a source of strength. Why did everyone scramble for earning passive a income now became clear to me. Money was the strength of my previous life. Thus getting richer without much effort was what everyone wanted.
And now I could earn 0.9 exp points per hour without doing anything. It was like having a cheat. Everyone else ran around hunting beast to get stronger while I just had to be me, do nothing and still get stronger.
