Chapter 549 - 136-140

"Little Juli, the reward has been processed. I spoke with the Trainer Association about your request, and they've agreed."

"Really, Aunty, when can I come pick it up?"

"Soon. That Pokémon's mother… her Trainer is no ordinary person."

"Alright, I'll be busy for now. I'll send it to you when the Pokémon arrives."

"Okay."

After hanging up the phone, Julian looked at Slowking, who was watching him curiously. "Slow, Looks like we'll have a new partner soon."

"Slo~"

Slowking nodded.

In Drakoria, the Trainer Association rewards anyone who discovers an unrecorded Pokémon or a new evolution of a Pokémon.

The reward options include three entries into a high-level secret realm or a Pokémon with cyan aptitude.

Julian had discovered Slowpoke's new evolution, Slowking, and naturally, he earned a reward from the Trainer Association. At that time, he chose a Pokémon with cyan qualifications.

The reason he didn't opt for the Rift entries was simple: his team wasn't ready for it. Only Steelix, at pseudo-Elite level, was capable of handling such dangers, and Steelix hadn't been with him for long.

Other Pokémon, whether it was Metagross or Dragonite, were at the peak of Advanced-level, although they had fighting powers that exceeded the normal pseudo-Elite.

But in a high-level/advanced secret realm, there were Elite Pokémon present, and many other dangers, so Julian wanted to wait for Metagross to become a pseudo-Elite before entering an advanced secret realm.

Plus, he already had two entries into advanced secret realm: one as a reward for winning the provincial high school league individual championship, and another as a bonus for joining Imperial Capital University.

There was no rush to use them, so choosing a cyan-aptitude Pokémon made more sense.

Normally, when someone discovers a new evolution, the Trainer Association provides three Pokémon with cyan qualifications of a species which can reach base stat of no lower than 500, allowing the trainer to choose one.

With some help from his grandfather, a top Elite, and his aunt, a renowned scholar, Julian could request a specific Pokémon of his choice.

After breakfast, Julian took Metagross, Steelix, Dragonite, and Lucario with him, leaving the others at the villa.

Growlithe, wagging his tail, wanted to go to the classes too, but Julian firmly refused.

After calming him down, he left the villa, though not directly for the special class. Instead, he headed towards the eastern battlefield.

By the time Julian arrived, most of the special class students were already there.

"Where's Teacher Frank?"

Julian asked, scanning the crowd.

"Teacher Frank went to pick up the students from Shu University," Shen answered.

At that moment, Luis hurried over. "Brother Walker, let me handle the fights later. Teacher Frank mentioned there are 300 credits for winning a match!"

Imperial Capital University and Shu University, the top universities in Drakoria, shared a fierce rivalry. Because both schools were located in the Imperial Capital, they competed over everything, from students to accomplishments.

If Imperial Capital University was interested in a student, Shu University would swoop in to try to recruit them. And anything Imperial University couldn't achieve, Shu University would make sure to surpass.

This competitive relationship had escalated over the years, with new students from each school being brought over annually for "exchange" matches.

Last year, it was Imperial University's turn to visit Shu University for the exchange competition. This year, Shu University was coming to Imperial University.

The annual freshman exchange competition between these two schools was a much-anticipated event, drawing attention from across the capital.

Students from all grades had gathered to watch, and it wasn't just Imperial University students either. Students from more than a dozen universities in the Imperial Capital had shown up.

Of course, the most notable group aside from Imperial University were Shu University students.

"The environment at Imperial University is just so-so," someone muttered nearby. "Good thing I didn't come here."

"Brother listening to you talk like that, are you from Shu University?"

"Bah! Shu University is also not suitable! I'm from Imperial College of Technology."

"Why are engineering students here?"

"To check out the girls, duh. I heard a lot of girls from the art academy are here to watch the battle."

---

Julian hadn't expected such a large crowd. The battlefield, equipped with an auditorium, was packed with spectators.

"Brother Walker, look!" Luis tugged at Julian's sleeve, pointing toward the north side of the stands. "The art academy girls are cheering for us!"

Sure enough, a group of nearly a hundred girls dressed in stylish outfits held up banners, showing their support for both Universities. Slogans like "Shu: Prince of the Capital" and "Imperial University: The Capital's Strength" were scrawled across them.

The girls from the arts academy had a reputation for being the cheerleaders for all of University's major events.

"How many people did Shu University bring for the exchange competition?" Julian asked.

"Brother Walker, you don't even know this?" Luis looked surprised, but seeing Julian giving him a unfriendly look, he quickly answered, "um-Ten people."

The students participating in the freshman exchange competition of the two Universities were all from the special class.

Just then, Frank arrived with ten students from Shu University's special class. Their head teacher, also an Elite Trainer, accompanied them.

Julian and his classmates sized up the students, who were doing the same in return.

"Julian, isn't that Nolan?" Shen said recognizing one of the students.

"Shen, you and Brother Walker know him, is that your former classmate?" Luis asked.

"No, He was Julian's opponent in the high school league championship. Julian defeated him 1v3," Shen explained.

Hearing that, Luis glanced at Nolan with an unimpressed look, like he was a weak chicken.

'He got defeated by brother Walker 1v3? Rubbish. I was only defeated 1v1.'

Nolan, who had been staring at Julian, clearly aiming for revenge, noticed Luis's unusual expression. He scowled in response.

Nolan: What are you looking at?.

Luis: looking at you.

An invisible electric current seemed to collide between them.

Suddenly, a notification sounded in Julian's mind.

"Ding!"

"Main Mission: Defeat all Shu University participants in the exchange competition."

"Reward: Mewtwo Fragment x3, Golden Legend Fragment x2, 5,000 points."

'This reward!!'

'Come on, I'm going to burn you all.'

Julian, whose face was calm until now, suddenly lit up with a fierce fighting spirit.

Mewtwo shards were the second priority. After all, Julian needed to collect 100 of them, and even with this mission, he only had 13 shards in total—a little more than ten percent of the way there.

What really excited him wasn't the Mewtwo shards though—it was the Golden legend shard. He remembered spending 25,000 points to buy his first golden shard, thinking that once he gathered 10 of them, his purple-tier Metagross could be upgraded to golden-tier.

But when he tried to buy the second shard, the price had quadrupled.

At that moment, Julian knew he'd been tricked by the system. It felt like a telecom fraud.

Now, this quest offered 2 Golden legend shards as a reward. Along with the one he had already bought, he'd have 3 shards—nearly a third of the way to the 10 he needed.

But the reward would only come if he completed the mission. Otherwise, the Mewtwo shards, the Golden legend shards, and even the points would be out of his reach.

"Gather around, let me arrange the battle order"

Head teacher Frank called out. Ten students from the special recruit class of 30 stepped forward. Besides Julian, the others were Tyler (Fire), Ian (Dragon), Luis (Ice), Walter (Water), Hugo (Ghost), Yanis (Ice), Gucci (Fighting), Zane (Grass), and Jim (Electric).

These were the strongest nine students in the special class, excluding Julian. Shen wasn't included—although she had begun to awaken her abilities, she was still in a semi-awakened state, and her Pokémon were not at a high enough level.

"Teacher, let me go first. I can handle at least two opponents"

Luis said confidently. His Ace Pokémon had recently reached the peak of the Advanced tier.

"I should go. Better than you, I can take on three," Tyler replied, stepping forward.

Luis scoffed. "Let's see you do that without relying on type advantage!"

When Trainers' Pokémon were evenly matched, type advantage often played a crucial role.

"How about I go first?"

Jim suggested, raising his hand and looking expectantly at Frank.

Going first was stressful, but they preferred to bear the pressure themselves rather than leaving it for someone else.

"I'll go."

Julian's calm voice suddenly broke through their discussion, silencing the group. Luis blinked in surprise.

"Brother Walker, you're going first?"

"Yeah. Is there a problem?, I want to take on all ten," Julian said.

As the leader of the special class and the strongest among them, Julian was typically placed in the middle or as the final player.

It was rare for the ace to lead the charge—like throwing down your trump card at the very beginning of a card game.

As for the idea that Julian would take on all ten opponents? They didn't take that too seriously.

"Teacher, I'll go first"

Julian repeated, turning to Frank.

"Alright, but you need to defeat at least three"

Frank said, noting the determination in Julian's eyes.

At 9:00 AM, the exchange match between Imperial University and Shu University officially began. After both sides submitted their battle orders, the first player from Shu University was Nolan, who confidently walked to the battlefield.

He had faced Julian before during the high school league, and after that defeat, he had chosen to attend Shu University—specifically because he had learned that Julian had gone to Imperial College.

Since then, Nolan had worked hard and rebuilt his confidence.

"No matter who Imperial University sends, I'll beat them," he told himself.

'As long as it wasn't him.'

But as Nolan glanced across the field, he froze. He saw the Trainer from Imperial College—a familiar face with a familiar Pokémon.

Nolan rubbed his eyes.

An illusion, It had to be an illusion.

But when he opened them again, the same person and Pokémon stood before him.

Nolan nearly choked. How could Julian, the leader of the special recruit class, be the first to play?

The Shu University side was equally stunned.

They couldn't believe Imperial University was leading with their strongest player. What kind of strategy was this?

The Elite-level Trainer leading Shu University couldn't help but mutter, "That bast**d Frank, he's playing mind games with me."

She then turned to the girl beside her. "Acacia, keep a close eye on that Metagross. I don't think Nolan can beat Julian, and you might not be able to either. But watch closely."

The battle order had already been submitted, so it was too late to switch things around. Otherwise, she would have sent Acacia in second to test Julian's strength against Shu's best.

Nolan took a deep breath. Even though he didn't want to face Julian, he had no choice. He gripped the Poké Ball tightly in his hand.

'I've gotten a lot stronger since then.'

"Go, Tyranitar!" Nolan shouted.

In a flash of white light, a massive Tyranitar appeared on the field. Its body was covered in thick green armor, with a long tail and an imposing presence.

--

Nolan's Pupitar had evolved into Tyranitar over the summer, earning the title of the "Desert Tyrant."

As soon as Tyranitar saw Metagross, its fury ignited.

This was the Pokémon that had knocked it out with a single punch last time. Now that it had evolved, it was eager for revenge.

"Swish~"

Tyranitar stepped forward, its powerful presence stirring up the sand around it.

Seeing how fired up his Tyranitar was, even though Nolan felt a flicker of doubt, but he quickly pushed it aside.

'When Metagross beat my Pupitar, it was fully evolved.'

'But now, my Tyranitar won't be any weaker than Metagross. Things will be different this time.'

At this moment, both Nolan and his Tyranitar felt confident, casting contemptuous glances at Julian and his Metagross on the opposite side.

Their expression seemed to say: 'You're nothing.'

The protective shield surrounding the battlefield had been activated, preventing the sandstorm generated by Tyranitar's Sand Stream from spreading everywhere. Instead, it was trapped within the boundaries, making the sandstorm even denser.

This gave Tyranitar an initial advantage.

"Dark Pulse!" Nolan commanded.

Through the swirling sand, Tyranitar unleashed a Snarl, followed by a black wave of energy. It pierced through the sand, crossing the battlefield in an instant.

But Metagross had already vanished, dodging the Dark Pulse, which left a crater in the ground.

In the next moment, Metagross reappeared mid-air, unaffected by the storm of sand.

"Metagross, Hammer Arm!" Julian's voice rang out.

Metagross appeared above Tyranitar in a flash. Its arm glowed a brilliant white as it swung down with immense force, cutting through the air so fast that the sand around it turned to dust.

"Tyranitar, use Mega Punch!" Nolan shouted.

Tyranitar roared and swung its fist to meet Metagross's Hammer Arm. The two attacks collided, creating a powerful shockwave that sent sand spiraling in all directions.

Tyranitar's arm buckled under the impact, and the ground beneath it cracked as its body was driven halfway into the earth.

"Ty~"

Tyranitar staggered back, its arm hanging limp. It growled in frustration, glaring at Metagross.

But before it could react further, Metagross delivered a Meteor Mash.

"Boom!"

Tyranitar was slammed against the protective shield and slid down to the ground, unconscious.

Nolan shouted in disbelief; "Tyranitar"

But he got no answer from Tyranitar.

"Tyranitar is unable to battle! Metagross wins!" the referee declared.

The clock on the scoreboard showed that less than 60 seconds had passed, Exactly 59.

The arena fell silent. Even Julian's classmates were stunned at how easily Metagross had defeated another pseudo-legendary Pokémon like Tyranitar.

The audience in the stands, who had barely started cheering, were now frozen in shock.

The students who were live-streaming, the exchange event between the two colleges stared blankly at their screens, bombarded with comments like:

"Why does this scene seem so familiar?"

"Not again! why did my Nolan lose to this guy again?"

"Metagross: You fell before I even tried"

"Looking at the momentum, Julian's going for at least three wins in a row."

"Nah, I'm betting he'll take out five!"

As the referee's announcement echoed, Nolan snapped out of his daze, and so did the crowd—students from Imperial, Shu, and other colleges who came to join in the fun.

The Imperial College students started buzzing with excitement, while the Shu University side was left in disbelief.

Their starting player had been defeated in less than a minute.

Being chosen as the starter meant Nolan wasn't the weakest. His Pokémon, the well-known desert tyrant Tyranitar, was among the powerful pseudo-legendaries.

When Tyranitar had taken the stage, roaring up at the sky with sand swirling around him, he had looked unstoppable.

But the turnaround came too fast. In less than a minute, Tyranitar was down, unable to stand. The contrast was shocking.

It was like seeing a big, strong man who looks tough but can't even last a minute.

As Nolan walked off in defeat, His head teacher, Zoe, placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "That Metagross has surpassed a typical pseudo-Elite Pokémon."

Nolan wanted to protest—his Tyranitar could also defeat pseudo-Elite level Pokémon—but he couldn't argue with the result.

Zoe turned to the next student, Ryan. "Do your best to push Metagross. Try to reveal more of its strength."

"understood"

Ryan nodded seriously, although he didn't want to admit it, but judging from Metagross' strength just now, he was indeed not an opponent.

He'd have to be clever, draw out the fight, and give his teammates more insight into Metagross's capabilities.

He stepped onto the battlefield and released his Pokémon.

"Gardevoir, let's go."

Pokémon: Gardevoir (Psychic/Fairy)

Level: 58

Qualification: Cyan

Ability: Synchronize

Holding: Twisted Spoon

Gender: Female

Moves: Dazzling Gleam, Confusion, Disarming Voice, Growl, Charm, Moonblast, Hypnosis, Draining Kiss, Teleport, Psybeam, Life Dew, Calm Mind, Psychic

Disc Moves: Magical Leaf, Thunder Wave, Protect, Light Screen, Reflect, Will-O-Wisp, Imprison, Icy Wind, Power Swap, Trick Room

Genetic Moves: Heal Pulse, Safeguard, Psyshock, Skill Swap

--

Gardevoir the famous "wife" Pokémon, in some respects, was even more popular than pseudo-legendaries, and its rarity was also comparable to that of pseudo-legendaries.

Gardevoir's elegant form shimmered as she appeared on the field. Even the students from Imperial College couldn't help but cheer when they saw her.

"Whoa! This guy's got a Gardevoir?"

"Metagross better not go too hard on her!"

"I'm switching sides—I'm rooting for my wife Gardevoir now!"

"You might want to first check if she's a he."

Glancing at Gardevoir, Even Julian, a Iron hearted guy appreciated the Pokémon's graceful appearance.

"I don't know if a punch will make it cry"

'Then, let's give it a try.'

"Metagross, Bullet Punch!"

Metagross darted forward, its silver arm gleaming as it shot toward Gardevoir with incredible speed. It didn't give a f**k who the opponent was.

Ryan barely had time to react.

"Gardevoir, Teleport!"

Gardevoir vanished just before the attack could land, reappearing fifty meters away as Metagross's punch hit nothing but air.

"Gardevoir, Psybeam, now!"

"Steel Beam."

The two moves collided mid-air, but Metagross's Steel Beam easily overpowered Psybeam, heading straight for Gardevoir. Once again, she used Teleport to dodge, but Julian was ready.

"Metagross, use Psychic at eight o'clock!"

Without missing a beat, Metagross launched a blast of psychic energy to where Gardevoir had just reappeared. Gardevoir was caught mid-Teleport and frozen in place, unable to move.

"How did you know where Gardevoir would appear?"

Ryan stared at Julian in shock. Even he the trainer didn't known Gardevoir's exact location after Teleporting.

But somehow, Julian did.

Everything had its own Aura, even a stone. Although Gardevoir used Teleport to briefly make her body disappear from sight, the Aura waves she emitted still made it possible to follow her movements.

Julian easily detected her trajectory.

When Ryan asked how he knew, Julian naturally did not answer and said lightly, "Metagross, use Metal Claw."

Gardevoir, caught in Metagross's Psychic control, couldn't break free. She could only watch as Metagross raised its arm. The three sharp claws at the end extended to half a meter long, slicing through the air toward her face.

"Gardevoir, Mega Evolve!"

Ryan realized the situation was dire. He hadn't expected Metagross to be so challenging, forcing him to use Mega Evolution so soon.

With the boost from Mega Evolution, Mega Gardevoir broke free from Metagross's Psychic hold.

"Mega Gardevoir, use Moonblast!"

A phantom of the moon appeared above Mega Gardevoir, and a mass of Moonlight gathered in her hands, glowing brighter, it seemed as a sun had appeared on the stage.

Yet, despite its brilliance, the energy bore a significant murderous intent.

It's a pity that it was not night, otherwise the power of this Moonblast would have been even greater.

"Hyper Beam!"

Although Gardevoir had Mega Evolved, from Julian and Metagross's perspective, it was no different from before.

However, many of the spectators in the stands were eager to see Metagross Mega Evolve too, hoping for a spectacular showdown.

The Hyper Beam pierced through Moonblast, striking Mega Gardevoir hard and sending her crashing into the shield. It didn't stop there.

"Garde!"

Mega Gardevoir let out a painful cry as the energy dissipated.

When the Hyper Beam ended, she reverted from her Mega Evolution form but remained conscious, half-kneeling and trying to stand.

When Ryan saw this, his heart tightened. He was about to admit defeat when he heard it.

"Bullet Punch!"

Metagross surged toward Gardevoir, slamming its steel claws—sized like sandbags—into her face. The impact sent her flying, and she tumbled several meters before finally coming to a stop.

Luis: That face looks concave. I'm afraid she'll be disfigured.

Gardevoir lay unconscious, with a deep fist mark indented on the left side of her cheek, showcasing Metagross's brutal strength.

"Wife! Metagross, you give me back my wife!"

"Metagross, don't blame me for cursing you to be single for a lifetime!"

"Metagross: Sorry, I have no gender."

Ryan retrieved Gardevoir and shot Julian a hateful glare.

Mega Gardevoir hadn't been able to withstand Metagross's two attacks. Students from the Shu University exchange match turned to Ryan as he walked off, and Mia, the third student ready to step up, hurriedly asked, "Ryan, what should I do? There's no way to beat Metagross!"

"Just go up and surrender"

Ryan advised as he looked at Mia, then immediately took Gardevoir's Poké Ball for treatment.

Mia, a poison-type trainer, faced against a steel-type perverted pseudo-legendary powerhouse like Metagross. It seemed like even if Metagross stood still, she won't be able to do anything.

Mia: 'Hey, Who are you looking down on?'

The petite and cute looking Mia, despite her fear of Metagross's earlier performance, stepped forward. There was a little fear on her face, and she looked pitiful.

"Crobat!"

Mia sent out her Pokémon.

Pokémon: Crobat (Poison/Flying)

Level: 57

Qualification: Cyan

Ability: Inner Focus

Item: Toxic Orb Fragment

Gender: Female

Moves: Cross Poison, Tailwind, Toxic, Screech, Absorb, Supersonic, Astonish, Mean Look, Poison Fang, Quick Guard, Air Cutter, Bite, Haze, Venoshock, Confuse Ray

Disc Moves: Hyper Beam, Solar Beam, Protect, Double Team, U-Turn, Sludge Bomb, Sunny Day

Genetic Moves: Hypnosis, Gust, Quick Attack, Curse

--

Another Pokémon with cyan qualification—Usually, Pokémon with this aptitude can hardly be seen outside, but here, let alone special class, the students in other classes had at least one cyan-qualified Pokémon.

The students of the Shu University's special class were obviously no worse than them.

As for the Toxic Orb Fragment, it increases the damage of Poison-type moves without causing the Pokémon to fall into the poisoned status state. In contrast, carrying a complete Toxic Orb might inflict the poisoned condition on the holder, even if it's a Poison-type Pokémon.

"Crobat, use Confuse Ray!" Mia commanded.

Since Metagross was a steel type, all Poison-type moves were ineffective. Mia had to adapt her strategy.

"Five minutes—just hold on for five minutes!"

After Nolan fell in less than a minute and Ryan lasted four minutes, she was determined to last longer than the two of them.

If her head teacher and fellow teammates knew she had such an idea, don't know what expressions they would have.

Confuse Ray's speed was not that fast, easily dodged by Metagross.

"Agility!"

"Double Team!"

Seeing Metagross approach, Mia ordered Crobat to create clones to confuse the opponent.

Crobat spun rapidly, creating eight clones.

"Third from the left, Zen Headbutt!" Julian called out.

Julian looked at Mia, a little girl who looked cute but had insufficient IQ. It was no secret that he possessed the power of Aura,

Yet to use a move like Double Team in front of him was like putting his Aura abilities to full use.

The fact that the power of Aura could see through clones was even written in high school textbooks. Just like how Julian used his Aura to predict Gardevoir's Teleport, though that part wasn't in the books, So it made sense that Ryan wouldn't know about it.

The figure of Metagross zoomed toward Crobat.

With a resounding bang, Metagross struck, sending Crobat crashing into the ground and creating a massive crater seven or eight meters wide.

Crobat lay in the center of the crater, unable to continue.

Crobat as a Pokémon was known for its speed, if Mia had simply ordered a Quick Attack, Metagross might not have caught up. Instead, her choice was to use Double Team.

As a result, Metagross had done a quick work of this "mage" built, that had low HP and defense.

The clock at the edge of the field showed just 30 seconds had passed.

The moment Crobat fell, Mia glanced at the timer, her expression stunned, and then she broke down.

"Wooooo!"

She started crying immediately, She squatted on the ground, crying without even recalling her fainted Crobat.

Crobat: I was dazed for a moment, but now I'm awake!

As the third member of the Shu University exchange group was easily defeated by Julian, Elite Zoe, who was leading the team, grew serious. She stared at Julian, who stood calm and steady on the field, waiting for their fourth challenger.

Their side had already lost three members in a row, and none had managed to deal any effective damage to Julian's Metagross.

Despite earlier boasts, Tyranitar had barely managed to scratch it.

After these repeated losses, the Shu supporters had fallen almost completely silent. Even the once-vibrant cheerleaders barely murmured, their voices so low they were almost unheard.

Meanwhile, on the Imperial College side, the cheerleaders were hoarse from their chants, many of them watching Julian with excited eyes.

One cheerleader whispered, "I think I'm falling for him!"

"Keep dreaming; he's way out of your league," another replied.

"No, I may not have money or be a trainer, but I've still got my charms!"

If looks were enough, Julian would have been devoured by the cheerleading team at that moment.

On the Imperial University side, Luis quietly said, "Brother Walker mentioned before he left that he wanted to take on ten trainers. Do you think he was being serious?"

Everyone heard him, but they thought it was just a joke. Now, however, it didn't seem so funny.

Given Metagross's momentum, it felt like taking on 10 more trainers wouldn't be a problem at all.

"It all depends on the strength of their Ace student. That woman is really strong," Ian chimed in.

"Come on, that's nonsense! She's an Ice-type, and you're a Dragon-type. Of course, she'll be strong against you! Battling you is like picking on a kid!" Luis rolled his eyes.

Ian felt embarrassed but insisted, "I didn't mean it that way. I heard she recently caught a powerful Ice-type Pokémon in Shu University's advanced secret realm."

"Wow, then you're really not even her rival anymore," Luis responded.

Ian's face darkened as he glared at Luis in anger. He was sure Luis was teasing him on purpose. Just because the Dragon type was weak against Ice type doesn't mean he couldn't defeat her!.

'Even if I can't beat that woman, can't I beat you an ice-type?'

"All my Ice-type Pokémon have moves that can defeat Dragons"

Luis said, he seemed to sense what Ian was thinking. He spoke proudly, "Let's find a time for me to teach you a lesson and remind you what it feels like to be dominated by Ice types."

"Oh, and there's also the Fairy type to consider. That's another enemy for Dragons!"

The Fairy type was to Dragons, what Steel was to Poison. Dragon-type moves had no effect at all on Fairy-types.

"Okay, focus up! The ten of them will be your rivals in the future. It's good for you to watch and learn now," said their head teacher, Frank.

After he spoke, he took out his phone and sent a message.

Zoe's phone rang from the opposite side. It was a message from Frank.

Frank: "You'll get beaten 1v10."

Zoe:(ꐦ𝅒_𝅒)

"Hey you, defeat him, and I'll do my best to get you a Pokémon with cyan qualifications"

"Teacher, my name is Yang!"

Yang replied, a bit annoyed. He didn't feel the excitement from Zoe's words. If he could beat Julian, he wouldn't need a cyan-qualified Pokémon.

"I'll do my best!"

'To at least deal a little damage to Metagross.'

"Infernape!"

Yang called, sending out his Pokémon.

Infernape was known as a powerhouse, and it certainly looked the part.

Pokémon: Infernape (Fire/Fighting)

Level: 58

Qualification: Cyan

Ability: Blaze

Item: Hard Charcoal

Gender: Male

Moves: Close Combat, Mach Punch, Flare Blitz, Ember, Flamethrower, Power-Up Punch, Fury Swipes, Flame Wheel, Fire Spin.

Disc Moves: Focus Punch, Protect, Hyper Beam, Sunny Day, Earthquake, Low Sweep, Bulk Up, Blast Burn, Brick Break.

Genetic Moves: Fire Punch, Blaze Kick, Raging Fury, Double Kick.

--

"Infernape, use Sunny Day and then Bulk Up!"

Infernape shot a white sphere of light high into the sky, creating a small sun above. The air around them began to heat up visibly.

The Bulk Up move improved its attack and defense, while Sunny Day boosted its Fire-type moves.

"His Metagross should have the Light Metal Ability, but my Infernape won't lose in terms of speed"

Yang murmured to himself, watching as the flames on Infernape's head flared even hotter due to Sunny Day.

"Fire Spin!" he commanded.

Infernape took a deep breath. As it swelled its abdomen, a torrent of crimson flames erupted, quickly covering half the field.

The air in the center of the vortex spun rapidly, consuming most of the oxygen around. Anyone caught nearby would struggle to breathe.

Metagross, however, was unfazed by the flames that surrounded it.

Seeing this, Yang couldn't help but clench his fists. This was a crucial moment, and he could finally land a hit on Metagross.

"Zen Headbutt!"

Just as Yang felt excited, Metagross burst through the flame vortex, wrapped in a layer of psychic energy. Its rapid speed created a white belt of air around it.

"Use Fire Punch after dodging!" Yang shouted.

Infernape locked its eyes on Metagross, sidestepping to avoid its attack, then slammed a Fire Punch into Metagross's back.

"Bang!"

A loud crash echoed as metal collided with flesh. While Metagross took the hit, Infernape felt pain, surprised by its opponent's toughness.

"Grab it!" Julian ordered.

Metagross stretched out its claws, sharp enough to pierce Infernape's arms, causing the latter to cry out in pain.

"Infernape, use Flamethrower!" Yang roared as the situation turned dire, trying to force Metagross back with a close-range flame attack.

After all, in his opinion, no matter how strong Metagross was, it was still twice as weak to fire.

"Meteor Mash!" Julian said calmly.

Infernape shot out a stream of hot flames, but Metagross's colorful Meteor Mash quickly countered and dissipated the flames. To Yang's shock, Meteor Mash struck Infernape's chin, launching it into the air.

"Infernape, Flame Wheel!"

Infernape, overwhelmed by pain, briefly lost focus in the air. But the sound of its trainer's voice cut through the haze, waking it back up.

Using Rapid Spin, the Flame Wheel changed direction mid-air and circled behind Metagross.

"Metagross, Bulldoze!" Julian said coldly.

Just as Flame Wheel approached, Metagross leaped up high. When Flame Wheel reached below, Metagross's weight crashed down, its body slamming onto the Flame Wheel.

Infernape screamed as the Flame Wheel vanished, leaving it struggling helplessly under Metagross's weight.

"Meta!"

With a light sound, Metagross applied pressure with its limbs, completely overwhelming Infernape, who could no longer muster the strength to fight back.
