Bai Xi's Pov:
His question got me reeling my thoughts back to the original panicked one...now what do I say to that, or how do I tell him that I am him his wife, the one that he married a year and a half ago...The one he forgot all about. No, I can't possibly say that.
Which left me with no other option than to rush out of here and that to fast otherwise if I stayed any longer I would definitely be exposed!
"What are you thinking so deeply? Did you forget your name?", He asked me breaking my chain of thoughts and I looked up to see him looking at me as if I am some mystery that he is trying hard to solve.
But then again that is not what I want at all and so to stop his interrogative questions I opened my mouth and blurted out anything that came to my mind and that meant anything....
"There is something hard poking at my stomach, will you remove it so I can be more comfortable", I told him rather nonchalantly, the first thing that came to my mind, to stop his telescopic eyes from dissecting me further, my mind hard pressing on the immediate issue of getting out of here and not on him as I tried to find a way to vanish from here anyhow.
I stopped my contemplative thoughts as I felt him going very, very still on my body, my eyes darting to meet his to find them looking at me as if he is looking at an alien and not a human.
I raised an eyebrow in question to his sudden odd behaviour when he cocked his eyebrow back at me— as if I should know the answer.
Should I....
My brows furrowed in answer as I reverted back to what I said and my face flushed red as the realisation dawned on me. My face must have spotted one heck of an horrible expression as I felt terrible at what I just said...
How much I wish for the ground to open up right now and swallow me whole right this instant!!
The expressions of realisation must have looked quite comical on my face seeing how hard he is trying not to laugh out loud at my hilarious words.
I glared at him, challenging him to laugh at me when the gush of his warm breath passed on me and the first bout of laughter tumbled out of his lips.
The furious words on my tongue died down as I felt his laugh, reverberating through me as he still lay upon me. His eyes looked mesmerizing when he laughed, all drew back to his temples.
And I found myself lost in them....
He has a bewitching laugh and I was suddenly stuck with the realisation that there are dimples present on his cheeks, which—with every laugh, tuck upwards giving his lips a kissable look.
How much I felt myself loosing in his laugh that I almost felt myself forgetting the embarrassment and smiling back at him.
I couldn't help it, his laugh is infectious and his lips totally kissable....
I didn't realised when he stopped laughing , my gaze still stuck on his now half drawn lips and I looked up to meet his eyes where I saw the same desire blooming as it must be in mine.
His hand came up to cradle my cheek ,while his eyes looked in mine, searching, for what, I don't know. But he must have found what he was looking for as he sighed softly and his eyes fell on my lips.
I too gazed at his lips which do look tempting. My eyes flickered back to his to find the same expression on his face. A silent tacit understanding passed between us before his lips slowly descended down on mine.....
I arched my mouth up to meet his at the same time as his did when they descended on me, meeting halfway in between....
The first touch of our lips send electricity jolting down, straight to my toes, making me curve back and arching into him, molding myself along every ridge of his body.
He sucked on my lower lip as his other hand pulled me more close until all I could feel was every part of his body on my own..
I slid my hand along his powerful back and I can feel all the lean muscles moving on my every touch. I fisted his shirt with my one hand and the other ascended to his short hair at the nape of his neck. The small strands prickling on the palm of my hand left a fiery sensation behind.
