Miles returned from the Knight Manor with a bundle of firewood on his back and a bag of charcoal in his arms.
Nobody cared what he was carrying because everyone knew that this purple-haired young man had excellent swordsmanship, and in the hilly area, a death wasn't much of a concern.
To the west of the settlement, a shaky straw and wood hut was his current residence. Its former owner was an old Mountain People Hunter with a broken leg who was attacked by a Magical Beast Giant Bear during a great hunt. He shot his companion in the ankle, delaying the beast and surviving the encounter.
For attacking his companion, the tribe amputated his leg and cast him out to fend for himself on the mountainside, where he managed to live until the eve of this winter's onset with his archery skills that could hit birds in flight and pierce through a person's throat.
After his death, Miles used his sword to seize the right to live in the hut.
