The late sun slid gently through the mesh curtains of the hideout in Crestmar Wharf, filling the wide, airy space with an amber warmth.

The Lorebreakers gathered quietly in the common area when Arthur came back, he stood with his back to the large window, the filtered sunlight glowing against the scales at his neck. His eyes, calm and steady, met each member's gaze in turn.

"We're in good hands here." Arthur began. His voice resonated softly, commanding attention effortlessly. "I've spoken thoroughly with the Grand Duke. Yel's intentions align closely with ours. More than that, we have his word. And his word carries weight."

Beli shifted slightly, the faint creak of his glass skeleton drawing attention. The deep blue beastcore he was meticulously carving rested in his delicate, skeletal fingers, gleaming faintly with mana-rich etchings. He lifted his head slightly, the perpetual, pointed smile of his skull oddly comforting.
