Chapter 2 - 01 - These Recipes are Bad, lets bring the Rocket Specialty!

It was Giovanni's second day in this strange yet oddly familiar world. The first rays of dawn crept into the room through the curtains, and by 7:00 AM, he was already awake. A creature of discipline and habit, Giovanni wasn't the type to linger in bed. He stretched, his sharp mind already buzzing with plans for the day. Beside him, his Pokémon stirred— Mewtwo, and a small group of others, loyal and ever watchful. The world might have changed, but Giovanni's power and presence commanded the same respect as ever.

In the makeshift kitchen of his temporary hideout, Giovanni prepared breakfast. His Pokémon watched eagerly as he carefully prepared high-nutrition PokéBlocks—a formula he had perfected during his tenure as the leader of Team Rocket. These blocks were more than just a source of nourishment; they were a testament to his ingenuity. As his Pokémon savored their meal, Giovanni leaned back in his chair, sipping a strong black coffee, and allowed his thoughts to wander.

"I don't know if this world uses the same recipe for PokéBlocks that my Team Rocket researchers developed, but it shouldn't be too hard to find out. If the recipes are different—and less effective—I could patent mine here. A monopoly on these superior PokéBlocks would be a source of easy and steady money. And money... is power."

The corner of his lips twitched upward in a rare smile as he contemplated the possibilities. This world might be new to him, but he already saw its weaknesses. Giovanni thrived on exploiting weaknesses.

After breakfast, Giovanni moved to the next stage of his plan. Yesterday, he had brought with him some crucial tools from his own dimension. Among these was a top-of-the-line secure PC equipped with cutting-edge specs, optimized for hacking and data analysis. Alongside it, he had a Porygon-Z, the perfect digital accomplice for navigating the intricacies of the PokeNet. The Porygon-Z was already synced to his system, ready to execute commands. His modified smartphone, enhanced with an integrated Rotom for extra processing power and untraceable communication, was another invaluable asset. Giovanni had always been a step ahead, and his tools reflected that fact.

Sitting down at his PC, Giovanni activated the Porygon-Z with a simple command. The virtual Pokémon emitted a synthetic chirp as it began interfacing with the local network. Giovanni navigated the PokeNet with ease, his eyes scanning the data flowing across the screen. He was looking for information about the recipes for PokéBlocks in this world, particularly those used by prominent corporations or influential trainers.

It didn't take long for his suspicions to be confirmed.

"I see," Giovanni murmured, his fingers steepled as he analyzed the data on the screen. "The recipes used here are quite basic. Effective, perhaps, but nowhere near the level of complexity or potency as the formulas my team developed. There must be some secret recipes used by top corporations in this world, though. That's where the real profit lies."

With a plan forming in his mind, Giovanni leaned back in his chair, his gaze shifting to his smartphone. He tapped on the Rotom-powered device, which flared to life, displaying a holographic interface. Without hesitation, he initiated a secure call to Proton, one of his most trusted lieutenants from his world.

"Proton, are you there?" Giovanni asked, his tone clipped and authoritative.

"Yes, Boss," came the reply, Proton's voice crackling slightly through the encrypted line. "What can I do for you?"

"I need the PokéBlock recipes we used to sell in our world," Giovanni said, his voice calm but firm. "Send them to my PC through Porygon. Use the most secure protocols."

"Understood, Boss. Give me ten minutes," Proton replied without hesitation.

True to his word, Proton delivered. Within minutes, Giovanni's PC pinged, indicating the arrival of a secure data packet. Porygon-Z decrypted the file seamlessly, and Giovanni began to review the contents. The recipes were as he remembered—meticulously detailed formulas designed to optimize a Pokémon's nutrition, training efficiency, and battle readiness. The potency of these recipes far exceeded anything he had seen in this world so far.

"These recipes are at least 50% more effective than the standard ones used by the Poke Alliance here," Giovanni thought, his eyes narrowing as he scanned the data. "If I patent these recipes under a local identity and create a supply chain, I could dominate the market. But first, I'll need to investigate how patents work in this dimension—and ensure there are no corporate rivals who could contest my claims."

By mid-morning, Giovanni had mapped out the next steps of his plan. First, he would patent the recipes under a carefully crafted alias, creating a façade of legitimacy. Then, he would build a supply chain, perhaps leveraging local talent and resources. But Giovanni wasn't one to leave things to chance. He knew that any successful operation required more than just a good product; it required control, influence, and, if necessary, coercion.

As the day progressed, Giovanni left his hideout to explore the city. Dressed in an unassuming black suit, he blended seamlessly into the crowd, his sharp eyes taking in every detail. He visited several local Poké Marts and specialized Pokémon nutrition shops, posing as a curious entrepreneur researching the market. His questions were casual but precise, each answer adding another piece to the puzzle.

By late afternoon, Giovanni returned to his hideout, his mind brimming with new information. The PokeNet data, combined with his observations from the city, painted a clear picture: while the PokéBlock market was competitive, no single corporation had achieved dominance. The opportunity was ripe for someone with the right resources and vision to seize control.

Sitting back at his PC, Giovanni began drafting patent applications. With the help of his Porygon-Z, he created a false identity—Dr. Victor Grayson, a renowned Pokémon nutritionist with an impeccable academic record (fabricated, of course). The applications were flawless, designed to withstand scrutiny while masking Giovanni's true involvement.

As evening fell, Giovanni allowed himself a moment of satisfaction. The foundations of his plan were in place, and tomorrow he would take the first steps toward implementing it. His Pokémon gathered around him, their loyalty unwavering. Nidoking gave a low, approving growl, as if sensing the success that lay ahead.

Before retiring for the night, Giovanni made one final call—this time to Archer, another trusted subordinate.

"Archer," Giovanni said, his tone sharp and direct, "I need you to begin preparations for a potential expansion into this world. Assemble a small team and be ready to deploy within a week. We may need to establish a new base of operations soon."

"Yes, Boss," Archer replied without hesitation. "Consider it done."

As Giovanni ended the call, he gazed out the window at the city lights twinkling in the distance. This world might have been unfamiliar at first, but it was becoming more and more like home—a home he intended to control.

"This is only the beginning," Giovanni thought, a glint of determination in his eyes. "Tomorrow, the real work begins."

Satisfied, he retired to his room, his mind already racing with plans for the days to come. His Pokémon settled around him, their presence a reminder that no matter the world, Giovanni always had the strength and loyalty to achieve his ambitions.
