Auther's Notes- This is the chapter from where the story kicks off. I was reading other MCU x HP fanfics and got a unique idea for combining them. that's why I started this fanfic. I know you have seen that the MC is only suffering until now but that's also a part of the story. I have planned the story so it is hard to change it at random. just know that I want there to be a proper motivation for MC to do something. First time Writing Dialogue is hard. Some may also sound cringy. Sorry in advance.
(btw did you catch the small detail in the last chapter where Tony tells about him making special weapons for the government. it was a nod to Jericho missiles and it's anti cave tech)

[Rohan POV]
I was walking into an alley when suddenly I felt that it was getting hard to breathe. When Someone behind me asked, "Excuse me, are you perhaps the one who came here today?" I was shocked. I was not expecting that to be asked. I had a talk with the system earlier about someone finding me out and it said that I was safe because it was hard to find the teleport location, to begin with. but it was impossible to track me as I am now a normal human. Especially in this universe which I am now a part of it.
I slowly turned and I could finally see who was behind me. It was a bald woman in a yellow robe. At first glance, I knew who it was. The Ancient One, also known as the Sorcerer Supreme. She also looked just like in the movies. She had a soft welcoming smile on her face, but her hands were behind her back, her shoulders stiff, and one foot in front. By her body language, I could feel the tense atmosphere. She was ready to attack or defend if need be. 'As far as I have seen, she is always relaxed and confident in her skills. I cannot imagine her being on guard defensive like this.'
I needed to handle it carefully, I took a deep breath, and replied with a smile " Yes yes I am. You can call me Rohan, i just came a few hours ago. Didn't think I will be found out this quickly"
"well, I have my means," she said as I looked at the Eye of Agamoto hanging around her neck. She was not just here, she was here at her full power. She must have tracked me using the time stone. She must already be using it to monitor and trap me. Need to be careful.
"Nice to meet you ancient one, you can call me Rohan." I greeted with a friendly smile trying to hide my inner turmoil.
"looks like you know me already, did you meet another variant of me before ?" She curiously asked.
Shit, I messed up, now I have to tell her the truth or she will know that I am lying. I am in no situation to be seen as untrustworthy, especially now.
Then again, I do know enough to trust her. I will be honest.
"Actually no, I met you for the first time, but I do know about you and this world"
The atmosphere suddenly became really heavy. I could hear my heart racing. 'Did I say something wrong?' I saw her examining me
" If you know about me, then you also know what I am here for. Might I ask what business does a Beyonder has in my world?"
"Wait, a Beyonder? me?" I was confused, why would she mistake me for them? But that does explain why she is on guard. As beyonders are equal in power to the Big guys in marvel and have a history of destroying the multiverse.
I need to explain clearly or I am done for" Look, You got it wrong. I mean no harm. I am not one of those guys. Well, I did come from a universe outside this one but I am not one of them and I mean you or this world no harm. As a matter of fact, You can check for yourself, I am just a normal human. "I stood in front of her with open arms.
She looked at me for a moment and quickly cast some spells and golden magic circles surrounded me. It circled around me for a minute, then disappeared. Whatever she did just now, it made her breathe a sigh of relief. And the oppressive pressure I was feeling was now lessened.
"Well then, can you tell me, If you are a human, how did you come here and more importantly, why are you in my world?"
"well, it's a long story"
"Then we should talk over tea, Please follow me"
I saw a golden portal open behind her. I quietly followed her inside. On the other side of the portal, I saw that I was inside a room that had many books and artifacts displayed all around.
"We are now in the London Sanctum, One of the three Sanctums" I followed her into the study room, and sat down on the chair. She quietly prepared the tea and gave me a cup to me. All this time no one spoke a word. I just kept looking around. It dawned on me that I had never seen the London Sanctum in the movies so I looked around curiously.
She sat next to me and didn't say a word. I took a big sigh and broke the silence
"I know this may be difficult to understand but In my world, You are a character from a movie called Dr Strange."
When she heard the name, she stopped sipping her tea and looked at me. I continued to speak "You see, in The world, I am originally from, we don't have magic or advanced science like this world. But we have movies and books very much like this world and one of the movies is called 'Dr. Strange' is one in a long line of movies part of somthing called ' The Marvel Cinematic Universe' "
She listened carefully and put down her cup of tea, she had a smile on her face as she spoke "I Don't know what to say Mr. Rohan. I have seen much in my long life but it is still hard for me to believe what you are saying. "
I thought for a second and pulled out my phone. I point the phone toward her face and asked "Can you see this phone in my hand by any chance ?"
She glanced at the phone for a second and said "Yes of course, why do you ask?"
"It will be easy to explain this way" I excitedly turned the phone to me and started searching, after a few moments I faced her and said "Ancient One, I have something I want to show you. Please have a look " I then faced the phone towards her.
What I played was the trailer of Dr strange from youtube. When she heard her own voice coming from the phone, she slowly turned towards the phone. She didn't say anything and just watched the whole video.
What she saw was herself exactly how she looked in a similar place, with familiar people. But there was somthing different, she had the time stone on her so she knew what a vision of the future looked like. But in the video, it looked as if an act was playing out. The rooms and dresses looked the same at a glance but were not. Everything looked so real yet so fake.
After it ended she slumped down on the chair lost in thought and I continued to explain "In my world, you are a character in a movie. There are actors who look like you and the people around you who act and enact a story. The events and situations that happen in the movie are made real in this world "
The Ancient one looked at me. The composed look was not there anymore, she looked to be on edge. She said "These must be from the multiverse. A varient of me who is playing a role. I am a real person, just as you are. How can you claim that I am a mere character in a movie?"
"I understand that it can be difficult to grasp, but that is the reality. I can show you more. I can show you the whole hierarchy of this universe. From the Vishenti to the Eternity and even The One"
"Don't say his name !" she blurted out.
I sighed and continued "But that does not make you fake. As far as this Universe is concerned You are real as real as anyone can be. I can show you more" I was going to search for more videos but she stopped me
"That will be enough for today, Mr. Rohan. I believe you." She closed her eyes and sighed and got up and walked forward and I could only see her back.
"You know, my master always told me to keep an open mind. That not everything has to make sense. After hundreds of years, I believed, there was nothing that would surprise me anymore. But here I am; to be honest, I don't want to believe it."
She turned to look at me for a second. She looked sad and hopeless, She clenched the Eye of Agamoto while talking" I know that there are an infinite number of me in this multiverse and that free will is just an illusion is one thing but knowing that i am just a character from a movie is another. Anyways, "
She turned swiftly and sat down again. This time she again had her usual smile on her face. It looked like she composed herself. "Now, with that out of the way, please explain why and how you are here"
I quietly nodded "um.. So I met a guy named Morpheous in my dream---" And then I started explaining how and why I came here
I went on to explain to her how I was transmigrated to a new world and that world turned out to be a fictional world. How Morpheus told me that my world was in danger and that I can save it by coming here.
"So you are telling me that you 'are indeed' from another universe and that stories are used to make new universes and you were transmigrated into one before this one? That is a lot to take in." the ancient one had already accepted the fact that she was a movie character and now was very interested in knowledge from beyond the multiverse. It could be seen in her eyes. the glow of curiosity.
"Yes, The world I came here from is the story called Harry Potter."
"Harry Potter?" She asked
"Yes"
She raised her arm in the air and a book appeared in an instant.
"Is this the one by any chance?" On her hand was an old-looking book. It was the first volume of the Harry Potter Book. I almost forgot that they might exist in this world. That reminds me, Marvel does not exist in the HP Universe, so I thought it should be the same here too. Guess I was wrong.
"yes, yes it is " i nodded
She flipped through the pages as she said "So you are from a world made from this book?"
"Morpheus told me that my world was in danger and that I needed to get stronger. I think that's why he sent me here. There are a lot of opportunities here than in the Harry Potter world.
She shut the book and kept it on the side. She then looked at me as if studying my face " Why are you so trusting of this man, you don't even know him" She asked
"Well, he was the only one to help me, I guess. And even if he is lying to me, it still doesn't change the fact that I need to get stronger to fight any upcoming threat I may face, including of course Morpheus.
He also said that the new world I will be going to will also be a 'doomed world'. So, chances are if my world(HP) does face a world-ending crisis, then it would mean that Morpheus was telling the truth and that this one will also have the same fate unless we do somthing"
She closed her eyes and didnt say anything. I quietly finished my cup of tea.
That's when she opened her eyes and spoke. "What you said is correct, even I cannot see the future clearly, especially after your arrival. For now, you should focus on getting stronger. I don't believe you have any place to stay in this world so why not live with us in Kamar -Taj? "
"Yes, I would be glad to, but can I even learn magic? I mean I am not from this world " I asked her something I really wanted to know. If I could learn magic, then a whole new gate would open up for me.
She just smiled "Kamar- Taj is not just for people who have a talent for magic. It is a place where people come to find a way. Everyone needs to find their own way and I believe you will too"
'that's cryptic' i thought. Anyways, I agreed to live in Kamar-taj as I relly didn't have a place to go and I was sure she would not want me to roam around freely. I was very sure that if i did pose a threat to this world, she would kill me without question.
We both stood up. She smiled and said " Welcome to Kamar-Taj Mr.Rohan. "
"Mordo !" She called out and a young man came in the room "Please show Mr. Rohan his room. He will be staying with us from now on"
"yes master" Mordo bowed and looked at me with a blank expression, "follow me"
I followed him upstairs while looking around. I had never seen the London Sanctum as it was destroyed in the movie. I went through a big stone door and I was finally in Kamar-Taj, Nepal. It looked just like the place in the movies.
During our walk, Mordo did not speak; he just showed me around and finally brought me to the living quarters.
"This will be your room, someone will come during dinner time to inform you. We will start training tomorrow. Any questions?"
"no" then Mordo left me alone in the room.
I looked around the room. The room was small, with only a small window, a study desk, and a bed. But I was not too much concerned about it. I stood in front of the window and took a deep breath, the air here was very refreshing. I have not felt like this in years. ' finally I am starting my journey

[20 mins later, Inside the London sanctum]
Mordo walked into the room "master, I have shown him to his room"
The ancient one was sitting eyes closed and meditating "You want to ask something Mordo?"
Mordo hesitated for a second and replied "Why did you let him stay in Kamar-Taj? We don't know anything about him. He can be dangerous. "
She just smiled. still, eyes closed, she replied "I have used every known spell to check, Mordo. He does not have any connections with the dark dimension or any connections at all as a matter of fact. He is just a normal human that can travel between worlds if you can believe that. He is truly from the beyond.
I used the Time stone and the future has indeed been changed very much, I cannot see further than a few years. But I have seen enough of him to know that he is not a bad person."
She opened her eyes and looked at Mordo "And as far as him studying in Kamar-Taj. This decision was made by the Vishenti. They are very interested in him and the beyond. So they want me to keep an eye on him. You can talk to him and judge for yourself if you want"
"hmm"

[Rohan POV]
It has been a week since I came to Kamar-Taj. I had to follow a strict timetable here. I needed to wake up early in the morning, then practice some martial arts and long meditation sessions the whole day. I also needed to do some chores sometimes, but my physical condition didn't allow me to do more strenuous tasks, but no one complained. I talked with others here specially Mordo and Wong. Mordo was in his twenties and Wong was the same as me, fifteen and so he was far more approachable.
Kamar-Taj was separated into two parts. The inner part was in the mountains, where the mystic arts are practiced, and the outer part is in the city where Dr. Strange met with the ancient one where normal meditation is practiced. I have spent much of my time in the outer parts. After one week of meditating, I was already feeling the effects. I was now more focused and I could think more clearly now. The fresh air was also doing wonders.
Every afternoon, I would meet with the ancient one and have tea. We talked about many things. She was really interested in the movies and comics from my world. I showed her many different MCU movies and some Marvel comics. We came to the conclusion that I should not reveal these to anyone, at least not the ones containing the future. I still don't know how my arrival will change the world. But the ancient one was more concerned about how, according to Morpheus, this world was apparently 'doomed'. she could see multiple bad endings with the time stone but was not sure which would come true. We also discussed my future plans and how I was going to manage my time between both worlds.
Today, after a whole week, I came back to London to make my fake identity. Mordo helped me find a guy who could do just that. I met with him and finalize everything. He was going to make me a fake background and history. I was concerned that the truth might be found out but he reassured me that he had done these things before, and he was so good that even SHIELD could not find anything suspicious.
After our meeting, I had the whole day to myself. The first thing I decided to do was to see the differences between the worlds. I walked around and went to some popular places. When I was looking around, I noticed that I was near a movie theater, so I decided to check. I was surprised to see that the movie that happened to be on screen was the first Harry Potter movie. It had just been released ten days ago.
This week, I had already watched all the Harry Potter movies on my phone, but I thought, I should check if there are any differences between the movies compared to my world. I was curious so I got a ticket.
I was sitting in one corner with some coke and popcorn. I could see other people around me excited to watch. But I was not. I had watched it too many times to be excited.
The movie starts, as usual; I found that the movie was identical to my world. The cast was also identical. The script and direction were also identical. But surprisingly, Dumbledore was different, maybe because the actor changed multiple times in my world, I was not sure.
The movie progressed as usual. Harry living in a closet, gets a ton of letters, then Hagrid shows up to take him shopping, then leaves Harry in the train station. I was feeling really weird at this point thinking I was just there a few weeks ago. The feeling intensified when I saw Molly Weasley and Ginny. She also looked like the original cast. I was having serious Inception vibes as I had actually met them a few weeks ago. It was like I would see myself coming up on the screen.
Thankfully, the moment was over as the train ride soon began. The story was going as usual.
In the movie, Harry was sitting looking out the window when Ron showed up and sat opposite him and started talking. later, Harry bought a lot of chocolates. Then Ron wanted to show harry magic by turning his rat yellow. Then Hermione showed up searching for a toad but looking at Ron's pathetic attempt to use magic, she repaired Harry's glasses and advised them to wear their robes. Everything was going just as I knew.
Until a boy with blond hair and blue eyes knocked at the door and asked "Has anyone here lost their pet toad? I am looking for the owner"
"Holy Fu-" My eyes were wide open, and my mouth was opening and closing but couldn't make a sound, the shock was so much that I stood up without knowing. The people behind me were complaining me to shut up. My brain once again stopped working. The boy was none other than Chris, or, I should say, a boy who looked exactly like Chris was playing Chris in a Harry Potter movie that was also where I lived for many years with the said Chris. The movie went on where they all introduced each other and finally, Hermione took the toad with her and left soon Chris also left, saying his goodbyes to both Harry and Ron.
I was too overwhelmed to watch this movie. I ran out of the theater and went to the toilet and locked the door. I pulled out my phone. My hands were shaking, I needed answers
