She cursed herself on why she had to say that about that old woman, Though that woman was not bad looking but definitely old, Her brother of course would not like such an old hag no matter how strong his taste was.
So her saying that statement is indirectly saying that old women ever had a chance to be with him but it was her who did not allow that to happen.
This tarnishes her brother's reputation and also may give that woman false hope about ever being with her.
