The guy turned green at such words. Given all of Johnny's suspicions, the girl's phrase conjured up a rather disgusting image in his mind… which Nami no doubt intended. Otherwise, she wouldn't look so pleased, watching the changes in Johnny's facial expression and color.
"Please, never, ever say that again!" the guy pleaded from the bottom of his heart.
Who knows how much longer Nami would have kept messing with Johnny's head if her next words hadn't been drowned out by an enraged voice that echoed across the entire port:
"RORONOA ZORO!!!"
Nami blinked in confusion, while Johnny and Yosaku rolled their eyes in unison.
"Who was that?" the girl asked, noticing the guys' reactions.
"The strongest marine in the East Blue," Yosaku replied, not hiding his disdain.
The confused expression on Nami's face didn't go away, so Johnny decided to explain in more detail:
"First, we beat him up, but it wasn't enough for him, so he decided to pick a fight with Zoro. Our monster, naturally, stepped on him without even noticing, but it still didn't seem to be enough for that idiot. Is he a masochist or something?"
"WHERE IS SHE?!!" a new shout echoed through the port.
"She?" Nami blinked in confusion. "Who's he talking about?"
"Honestly, I have no idea," Johnny shook his head, equally puzzled. "For some reason, he's convinced Zoro did something to someone, and he's really not happy about it."
"For some reason?" Nami scoffed, now rolling her eyes in irritation instead of blinking. "There's no need to guess… Luffy probably got into some trouble again and shifted all the blame onto Zoro."
"I mean, I have no clue what Luffy could've done or how exactly he set up Zoro," Johnny clarified.
"I know exactly how he set up Zoro," Yosaku chimed in. "If you remember, the local captain started freaking out after Zoro talked to him. I bet Luffy asked Zoro to deliver a message, and the captain decided Zoro was the main culprit."
"That's probably exactly what happened," Johnny agreed. "And our marines are getting nervous…"
Johnny had a point. After receiving new orders from the enraged Smoker, the Marines began to move. Despite the fear and reluctance evident on their faces, the soldiers still drew their katanas and readied their rifles. Led by their lieutenants, they charged up the gangplank towards the ship… only to find Nami waiting for them at the end of the plank. The girl was still topless and wearing nothing but a thong. The black triangle of the thong barely covered the most interesting part. The moment the Marines laid eyes on this alluring sight in all its glory, it was as if they had hit an invisible wall. A few soldiers, pushed by their comrades, fell into the water. The assault on the ship faltered before it even started.
"Boys, I'd be very grateful if you didn't come aboard our ship," Nami's flirtatious smile, combined with her nearly naked appearance, completely disarmed the brave defenders of justice.
All the Marines completely forgot about any fight.
At that moment, a cloud of smoke swirled between the girl and the leading lieutenant. The smoke soon took the shape of a human body and then solidified and gained color — Smoker materialized in front of Nami. The captain was pale, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth, clutching his chest with one hand, and he looked anything but capable of fighting.
"Oh, so we have a Logia user here!" Nami exclaimed, covering her mouth with her fingers. "No wonder they call you the strongest Marine in the East Blue. With a fruit like that, even a one-year-old could earn such a title," Nami effortlessly insulted Smoker with a single sentence, dropping him lower than dirt. An insult that would have meant little coming from Johnny or Yosaku gained immense power coming from someone with Nami's appearance.
"I think I warned you what would happen if you attacked me again, didn't I?" Zoro's slightly muffled voice rang out.
The swordsman emerged from the galley with a bowl of stew in his hands. After asking the question, Zoro scooped up a spoonful of stew and ate it. Just like in their two previous encounters, the swordsman didn't see Smoker as any kind of threat. Nor did he view the thousand other Marines with him as a threat.
"You…" the captain's angry gaze shifted to Zoro. "You…"
What Smoker intended to say, history will never know. At that moment, a powerful explosion rocked all of Loguetown, somewhere in the center of the city. In the midst of the fire, smoke, and under the cover of suddenly firing fireworks, a large object shot vertically into the sky. When it ran out of energy from the explosion and hovered a few dozen meters above the ground, the object exploded again, sending even more fire, smoke, and fireworks into the sky.
"That's definitely Cthulhu's work," Johnny remarked after a brief silence.
"Definitely Cthulhu" Yosaku agreed.
"Absolutely Cthulhu," Zoro nodded. "He ordered a ton of explosives and fireworks from Orc right in front of me."
"At least the whole city didn't blow up, just some weird thing, which is good," Nami summarized the explosion. "And why Cthulhu?" she quickly added.
"Because Cthulhu," Johnny replied, pointing his thumb in Smoker's direction.
"So that's how it is… hey, what's your name?" Nami asked Smoker.
"His name's Schmuck" Yosaku immediately butted in. "'Mad Smoker' Schmuck," he added, and then he and Johnny burst out laughing again.
"'White Hunter' Smoker," the captain's face darkened.
