Chapter 639 - C639

Adam sighed. Listening to these two chatterboxes the whole way here had nearly made his ears fall off.

Ignoring the bickering between Astolfo and Avicebron, Adam turned to the others and said: "There is still a way we can resolve this."

"You - you've found a solution?" Darnic asked sharply. "A mere homunculus has an answer when even magi and Heroic Spirits are helpless?"

Adam nodded.

"Don't be so arrogant, homunculus!" Darnic yelled.

"I'm not being arrogant, sir. This is about challenging one's destiny!" Adam replied politely but sincerely.

"What?" Darnic's brows furrowed.

"There are two massive bahemoths," Adam explained earnestly. "One giant, one monster. The solution is simple. Use the giant to defeat the monster!"

"You mean to control the Primordial Human?"

"Yes," Adam nodded.

Darnic laughed derisively. "Easier said than done! If it could be done so simply, Caster would have done it already. What's the point of you saying so now?"

Adam didn't get angry over Darnic's scorn. Instead, he said earnestly: "Because there was still one thing missing."

"And what was that?"

"Me!"

Adam pointed at himself. "Transform me into the Primordial Human! Then I can fight and defeat that massive monster!"

"What—?"

Not just Darnic, but even Spartacus, Mordred and the rest couldn't help but look at Adam in shock.

"I am the true core that Caster created to complete his project," Adam explained. "By replacing me as the core instead of the false one, Caster can manipulate the Primordial Human to defeat the other beast!"

Adam fully laid bare his origins and plan.

Only then did everyone finally understand why Avicebron was so fixated on Adam.

"A-11072's plan is not wrong," Avicebron said. "Once he becomes the Primordial Human, I can control it to defeat the other monster. But the main problem now is that he can't even get close. The worms and tentacles surrounding it obstruct his approach."

"If that's the case, then allow me to pave the road to victory." Spartacus stood, radiating powerful energy.

"We'll help too!" Mordred, Gray, Mash, and even Saber stood up.

Darnic was silent for a moment before looking at Adam. "Homunculus, what do you hope to gain from the Yggdmillennia clan by doing this?"

"I don't need to gain anything." Adam shook his head, then smiled. "However, if possible, after this I would like to request you have a proper talk with my people."

"I won't make promises, as a magus's promises exist to deceive," Darnic said. "But if you resolve this crisis, the Yggdmillennia will be willing to have a good talk with all of you."

The negotiations concluded and battle plans were decided.

Adam returned to his seat atop the hippogriff, resolving the conflict between Astolfo and Avicebron. Then they flew towards the Primordial Human.

"That consumable has developed its own consciousness...how amusing." Darnic mused, glancing at the collapsed stakes. "To actually believe the words of that crafty old fox - how truly naive."

The other Heroic Spirits planned to assist Adam, but there were many obstacles.

The greatest obstacle was not the Primordial Human, but the other massive monster - Shudde M'ell, Supreme Regent of the Chthonians.

However, regarding this, Spartacus simply shook his head. "There's no need to worry."

"And why is that?" Saber asked curiously.

Spartacus smiled and shouted towards the collapsed stakes: "Oppressor! The power of freedom has arrived! Hold on just a little longer! Don't forget - you are the tyrant rampaging through Wallachia. You are the one oppressing the masses. How can you allow these outsiders to oppress your citizens?"

"Crack, crack, crack—"

Cracks echoed as the broken stake fragments slowly reassembled.

"Hiss, hiss, hiss!"

Shudders rippled through Shudde M'ell as he wrestled to break free from the massive stake impaling him.

Saber looked at Spartacus, shocked. "You - a rebel - actually cooperated with Lancer!"

"Why be surprised, my ally?" Spartacus said mildly. "When goals align, even an oppressor can be an ally. Without Eternal King restoring my sanity I likely wouldn't have cooperated."

"You mean Assassin..."

Spartacus nodded. "I used to think all kings were bloodsucking worms weighing down the people. Their words were poisoned honey to confuse and filled with so much fantasy. But after meeting him, I saw my prejudice."

"Not all kings are cut from the same cloth," Spartacus added. "Eternal King kindles the hearts of his people like fire."

Saber nodded in agreement.

Seeing the Primordial Human drawing nearer, Spartacus said, "Enough talk. It's time to make our move!"

Saber nodded solemnly.

Spartacus took a deep breath and let out a mighty roar before charging at the Primordial Human. This immediately drew its aggressive attention.

The stake pinning it - Vlad - had mostly crumbled, no longer possessing the strength to restrain the bahemoth.

Seeing Spartacus charging ahead, the Primordial Human unleashed a long, bellowing cry and attacked. Already enlarged to seven hundred meters tall, each movement of the titan sent earthquakes rippling through the ground.

Spartacus attracted the giant's attention head-on and was soon battered by its crushing strikes, inflating his size to over thirty meters.

At the same time, Saber, Mash, and the others raced across the Primordial Human's body, slashing apart the tentacles covering its exterior. Their actions were swift and precise, quickly clearing a path up the titan's body toward its neck and head.

Seeing this, Adam and the waiting allies were instantly thrilled.

Just as Spartacus reached his damage limit enduring the endless strikes and the titan reared up to attack again, Astralfo pulled out his shining, ornate lance. Ramming the titan astride his hippogriff, a resounding "crack" echoed as the Primordial Human inexplicably stumbled under the power of "Trap of Argalia!"

"Boom-!!"

The titan's fall caused the earth to rumble with the force of a magnitude seven earthquake.

"Now, Adam!" Avicebron yelled.

Hearing that, Adam turned to Avicebron in disbelief for a moment. But he took a deep breath and resolve flickered in his eyes.

He stood up from the hippogriff, and just as he was about to leap down—

"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh—"

Sensing the danger, the contaminated Black Grail inside the titan reacted. Octopus-like tentacles sprouted from its head, swiftly enveloping it like a dense forest trying to seal the core within.

Seeing this, Avicebron shouted urgently, "Wait, Adam! It's too late, wait a moment!"

"Boom, boom, boom!"

In the distance, the stake restraining Shudde M'ell had started breaking apart.

Adam looked back before gritting his teeth. "There's no time! Better than waiting here to die!"

"You only have a thirty percent chance if you leap now!" Avicebron yelled.

"Thirty percent, that's enough!"

Adam leapt from the hippogriff.

Everyone watched in shock as Adam hurled himself through the air. "That moron! Jumping now is suicidal!" Avicebron shouted.

As Adam fell toward the titan, the tentacles swarming its head gathered, parting and clamping like a beast's gnashing jaws.

Adam widened his eyes.

Oh no - too slow! Without a doubt, too slow!

If he landed now, those tentacles would surely strangle him to death.

Adam flashed through precious memories - his most treasured experiences in this fleeting human life.

A-11072...

That code had defined him.

But...but—!

It's different now!

"I'm not A-11072! I am Adam—!"

Adam yelled defiantly. His body pulsed with magical energy, rocketing him straight toward the narrowing gap in the writhing tentacles!

"Ma-mana burst!" Avicebron looked shocked. "How can he have that skill! Impossible! His body wasn't designed with that capability! I never added anything like that!"

Mana Burst...!

Everyone stared in awe as Adam shot down like a meteor toward the titan.

"Ah, so that's why!" Spartacus recalled.

From the very start...Shirou had granted them the skill [Mana Burst]!

"Eternal King...even in death, your light remains so bright..." Spartacus murmured.

"What is that blaze?" The homunculi of Yggdmillennia looked up at the dazzling shine of Adam's descent. "Why so bright?" they unintentionally asked.

Adam's companions revealed proud yet sad faces. "That is...Adam!"
