[Version 1 - Chapter 1]

[May 1962]

*DOORBELL RINGS*

The door creaked open ever so slowly, the hinges giving in at the last swing allowing the door to freefall to the ground, giving the visitor a bit of a fright and tripping backwards facing the door.

What followed could only be described as an adorable little scene; two little twin babies – probably not even a year old – stumbled their way out of the house and into the outside world.

Finally free from the constraints of prison guards, cries of happiness were released for the world to hear, yet a single step later, an obstacle found itself blocking their way.

"Woah woah, hold it right their little fellas, I can't let you out of my sight just yet. This is only the beginning of my pla–"

Before he had finished talking, a bright beam of white light passed through his shoulder, searing his right arm from its socket, leaving an instantly cauterised wound in its place. Realisation was slow to strike the genius who learnt how to harness zero-point energy, but when it did, no words could express his pain.

The taller of the twin's eyes dimming back to their naturally blue state, cooling down, he looked to his brother, expecting a reward for his good deeds. Happy to provide, the smaller one outstretched his baby hand, and petted his slightly older brother.

*ADULT SCREECHING NOISES*

Getting severely annoyed by the screams of despair coming from the big baby faster than they'd like, little Jack-Jack's eyes began glowing again, only to be interrupted by the same hand that had been petting his head not long ago. Turning around, the other one by the name of Shiva, spoke one of the few words he had heard, communicating his plan to finish the mortified animal.

"Wombo!" Or as he'd heard from the few games, he'd seen his older brother play while they thought he was sleeping.

Jack-Jack understood the word, as he too had been watching and together, they came up with their own "wombo" or, as the game would call it, a COMBO. But they could care less; Jack-Jack knew what to do.

Boosting off the ground and floating high into the sky, his body expanded outwards, turning himself into one hell of a chunky baby, and with the increased mass, came sawing back down to Earth. His body seemingly reflected the sun's light as it morphed its shape into unknown metal, increasing in weight and therefore, acceleration.

A metallic humanoid figure the size of a car, Shiva saw his now much larger brother as a dot that increasingly sped up and became visible, only to blur past his face and squashing the screaming mess into a liquified puddle of whatever made him a human. The impact so intense the very ground had turned into a small crater, with parts of the front patio caving in along with the "wrecking baby."

Still in the metre deep hole, Jack-Jack slowly floated out, shrinking back to his normal size and paying attention to the amazed and glowing white pupiled eyes waiting for him above. Proud of himself, the little child puffed his chest out, and flexed his muscles – something all the winners in the shows he watched did – showcasing their victory.

It got a laugh and another head pat from Shiva, which he happily accepted like a kitten claiming ownership over its human in a human form; rubbing his head all over Shiva's hand. This continued for a few seconds before the two felt it was time to leave. Stumbling over themselves to the front gate, they looked back, tear drop leaking from their lacrimal glands out of their eyes. Unexpectedly, Shiva's face scrunched up, thinking really hard, before unravelling into one of realisation

"If prison goes boom... No more prison!" The revelation of destroying their "prison" had enlightened Shiva, feeling like a form of hidden pressure had finally rid itself from his mind. His eyes swirling from the milky white to vantablack, the visible spectrum of colours disappearing from his pupils. Staring upwards at the Sun, his arm outstretched and pointed at the black manta-shaped plane above their house.

"Boom Ja-Ja!" Grasping what his brother was pointing at, Jack-Jack's eyes glowed blue and instantly fired the same white beams of light at the black plane, aiming and slicing off its wings, watching as the components seemed to combust mid-air. The wreckage – now a smoking mess – came falling from its previously hovering position.

Jack-Jack knew something bad was about to happen and turned into a jelly-like state as he enveloped his smaller brother, watching as the wreckage collided with their prison, blowing up into one hell of a mess, some unlucky souls would eventually have to clean.

Unknown to the brothers, a limo was driving down their street, currently occupied by a government agent of the National Superhero Agency and a family of superheroes coming back from saving the world from a potentially world-threatening robot.

In the back section of the car sat most of the Parr family; a couple of superheroes who settled down, living the past 15 years as a "normal" family, with 4 kids... and superpowers. What more could they ask for?

Well maybe for their house to not have blown up, and no idea as to where their twins of their family were, that might be nice. Something they all realised after seeing the mushroom cloud in the distance hovering over what was once their house.

"MY BABIES!" Reacting based on her motherly emotions, Helen Parr – the mother of the group – forced the door off the moving car and onto the road. Leaping out, she elongated her elastic arms towards a street sign, with enough momentum and swinging around the pole, she released her grip at the rising cloud in the distance, speeding over the neighbouring rooftops and past her babies staring at her from the ground.

By the time the rest of the family got there, she was already searching through the wreckage, no concern for her safety; her 'missing' sons more important than her own life. The rest of the family found themselves bursting out the limo doors as it came to a screeching stop, followed by a surprising scene upon their arrival.

Two children looking in wonder at the sight of their mother recklessly endangering herself by jumping into the flaming mess. But just watched, not wanting to pull her attention away from whatever she was doing in case she got hurt because of them.

"Helen, over here! Our sons! They're safe!" Bob Parr, visually relieved at the sight of his unharmed children, yelled to his wife still in the wreckage.

The blur of red through red made her silhouette visible and only upon seeing what it was she was searching for in front of her eyes, did her body slightly relax and make its way over back to her precious young ones.

"Thank God you're safe," she muttered, pulling her family into a group hug with the most recent additions smothered in the middle by the rest.

Satisfied, but tired from the day of hard work, the twins soundlessly drifted into the realm of dreams, unaware of the mess they had conjured and the consequences of their actions.
