( Yuuki's POV )
When Laura came at me with her IS, I did the same, I grabbed her by her shoulder, and I flew through a portal that I opened behind Laura, we appeared in the middle of the ocean, not far from the academy.
Laura: ...what did you do?
Yuuki: Don't mind that, no one will interrupt us now.
Laura was shocked by what had happened, but she put her head back into the fight immediately, she shot me with her main weapon, the rail canon, but I deflected the attack by hitting it with the back of my fist.
Then I threw one of my swords toward Laura, and she used her cancellation barrier to stop it, I knew she was going to do that, but I didn't care, that wasn't an attack, I meant to give her a good weapon.
Yuuki: Use that, none of your weapons are effective against me.
Laura: I told you I don't need your charity.
Yuuki: It's not that, I just don't like one-sided battles.
Normally the weapons of an IS cannot be taken by other pilots but the owner can unlock them to bypass this security, Laura glared at me for a moment before reluctantly taking the sword, she then flew at me, sword raised, she took a swing at me and I stopped her attack with mine, I used my tails to attack her from below but she rose up and used her cancellation barrier again to stop them and that had the effect of locking in place my tails, she then used some cable hooks and used a similar movement to mine.
Now that she saw what I could do, she was getting more serious, I must say she had the skills to back up the arrogance she had, I rotated in place and used my sword to cut the cables, and then I used my four weapons to shoot at Laura and she began evasive maneuvers.
Laura was being more careful when using her unit's unique function, she kept learning as we fought and I couldn't help but test how much she could do, While she was dodging she fired her rail canon, that was a more effective weapon when she was anchored to the ground but she could use it just as well while flying, I blocked all of her attacks and then showed Laura the function of the swords I used, all of the energy shots I blocked were absorbed to be released in a powerful attack, the blade of my sword split open and I fired a laser straight at Laura, she used her cancellation barrier but my attack was more than she could handle, her shield was also depleted and she had to use her sword to block what was left of the attack.
Forced into close combat Laura flew at me with her extendable blade in one hand and my sword in the other, she used a fluid flurry of swings, If anyone else had taken this attack they wouldn't have lasted long but I was blocking all her attacks, as Laura swung long I moved behind her and gave her a powerful triple hit, and my attack shattered the side of her IS.
Laura: No... I can't lose... I have to winArrgg.
When she couldn't continue fighting, Laura started mumbling something, and then she received a powerful electric shock from her own machine, Laura fainted, and her unit began to expel a kind of liquid metal that completely covered her, then that blob took a humanoid form.
Yuuki: damn, what did they put in your IS.
After the metallic humanoid formed, he created a sword in its hand and it took a swing at me, he power of that thing was far greater than Laura's but I wasn't going to be defeated by a mindless drone, when the attack came I rotated in place and cut off the arm with the sharp claws on my legs.
Laura was trapped inside that thing so I cut the thing in half and created an opening that gave me direct access to Laura.
I reached out my hand to retrieve Laura, but the moment I touched her, my vision went black, and then I appeared in my inner world, like in the incident with Lisanna, I formed a mental connection with Laura, with a quick look around I located a dark fog that was surely where Laura was.
As I entered the fog, I passed through many floating windows that showed Laura's memories, and it was all training and more training.
As the fog grew thicker, I started seeing images of when she couldn't pilot an IS, and she lost her way for the first time, In the center of the fog sat Laura hugging her knees, still muttering to herself.
Laura: I can't lose, I have to be the best, I have to be the strongest... If I'm not, what am I supposed to do, I don't know where I should go.
Yuuki: Silly, you have your whole life to figure that out, and school is the place for that, live and learn from different experiences.
When I spoke to Laura, she raised her head, and she had a shy and vulnerable expression, I didn't know she could make that kind of face, that was somewhat dangerous.
Laura: ... I don't know how to do that.
Yuuki: Just be yourself, you can ask me for help if you need it.
I extended my hand towards Laura and she moved her hand slowly to mine.
Yuuki: And if you don't find where you belong in the end, you can always join my group, I'd like to have another duel with you.
