Since they were here to gather information and rescue people, they couldn't launch a frontal assault. Instead, they circumvented to the left side of the temple and attempted to climb the pagoda stealthily, relying on their exceptional Qinggong to survey the situation from above.
Less than twenty zhang from the pagoda, they could see shadows moving about. Each level of the pagoda had people patrolling, and there were at least twenty to thirty people guarding below.
