As they entered the airport, the driver helped Jasmine Yale with her luggage from the trunk.
The VIP channel was deserted except for her and Sylvan Cheney standing there.
Not a soul in sight.
"I'll take your luggage in," said Sylvan, his voice muted.
"No need, I can manage," Jasmine shook her head in refusal, "Let's part here, thanks for the ride, I'm leaving."
Jasmine's small face bore a calm expression, her eyes tranquil, like the still waters of a placid lake, shallow and clear.
Her long eyelashes fluttered slightly, causing a tiny ripple of light in her eyes.
"Hmm, take care," Sylvan didn't say much more.
He too was calm, his eyes devoid of any emotion, but his gaze remained fixed on Jasmine's face.
"I'm off then, you take care, too."
Jasmine steadied her luggage, ready to turn around.
She couldn't fathom what was in his heart, she only knew that he had gone out of his way to drop her off.
Whether he sent her off or not, it didn't matter to her.
