Chapter 57 - Chapter 57: The First Strike

Uploading those files wasn't just dangerous — it was practically suicide. But I wasn't in the business of playing safe anymore.

I was in the business of ending monsters.

"You sure about this?" Liam asked, leaning against the kitchen counter, arms crossed. His eyes said he already knew my answer — he just needed to hear it.

"No," I said, lips twitching. "But I'm not letting fear chain me up again. Not for him. Not for anyone."

I fired up a burner laptop and prepped the files. Photos. Names. Transaction records. Even sick little "training" videos Vale had recorded to flaunt his power.

It took every ounce of willpower not to hurl the laptop across the room when I saw what he did to those girls.

"Anonymous drop to major news outlets?" Liam asked.

"No." I shook my head, heart thudding. "We go bigger. Viral. Unstoppable. I'm blowing this up where Vale can't hide it under blood money and backdoor deals."

"Dark Web?"

"Public forums. Video leaks. Social media. People love a good villain to burn." I smiled grimly. "And I'm about to hand them the biggest bonfire of the year."

Mira, who had been sitting silently, suddenly spoke up. Her voice was shaky but sharp. "What if they come after us?"

"They will," I said without blinking. "But we'll be ready."

I hit SEND.Within minutes, the files were scattering across the internet like a virus with fangs. News sites began picking up the story, hashtags exploded, and anonymous accounts began demanding justice.

Vale's dirty empire wasn't just exposed — it was bleeding out in front of the entire world.

My phone buzzed. An unknown number.

I hesitated. Answered on speaker.

"You think you've won?" Vale's voice hissed through the line like a snake's last breath. "This isn't over, Celeste. You've made yourself a target. You and everyone you care about."

I leaned close to the mic. "Good. Makes it easier for me to aim."Then I hung up on him like the trash he was.

I turned to Liam and Mira. "Prep for fallout. He's coming."

Because monsters don't die quietly. They thrash. They bite. And they make one hell of a final mess before they're put down.
